"There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is `PRESENT TRUTH' that the flock needs now." Early Writings, p 63.

Dear brothers and sisters,

What a glorious privilege and honor has been granted to us that we might be united with our God in our battle against self and sin!  We are not called to fight this battle alone, but Christ has promised to fight with and through us!  And if we suffer by crucifying self in order to do God's will, then we would be suffering with Christ!
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Romans 8:16-18.

"While God works in us to will and to do of His own good pleasure, we must work in harmony with Him." Testimonies, vol 5, p 345.

What a privilege to overcome and struggle with Christ and, in His infinite strength, gain victory over all sin to the glory of God which shall be revealed in us!
"The command is not, Let him that glorieth glory in himself, but in God.  For sinful men, the highest consolation, the greatest cause of rejoicing, is that Heaven has given Jesus to be the sinner's Saviour.  When Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, there was no hope for the sinful race; but Christ offered to take the sin upon himself.  He offered to go over the ground where Adam stumbled and fell; to meet the tempter on the field of battle, and conquer him in man's behalf....It was not for himself, but that he might break the chain that held the human race in slavery to Satan.  He saw that man had become so weakened by disobedience that he had not wisdom or strength to meet the wily foe, and this is why the Son of God takes upon himself man's nature, and, gaining the victory in our behalf, brings to us divine power, that, combined with human effort, will enable us to overcome." Review and Herald, March 15, 1887 (vol 2, p 119).

If we could just comprehend this glorious truth, that through faith the all-powerful God is working with and in us to overcome sin to the glory of Him who has called us out of darkness to His marvelous light, how could we ever fail and fall into sin again?
"For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37.

"The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:27.

"...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37.

"God Himself has pledged to help you in every determined effort you make to regain your manhood (from sin).  If you accept His help, you will become a bright and shining light in the world, and will at last hear the benediction, `Well done.'" Signs of the Times, January 30, 1901 (vol 4, p 166).

"He (God) will glorify Himself by working in and through them who wholly follow Him, so that it shall be known that it is the Lord and that their works are wrought in God." Testimonies, vol 2, p 148.

But what happens if we, who profess to serve and worship God alone, should choose to disobey God and to commit sin?  The only way we could sin, would be for us to reject God and cast Him away from us so that self would instead be revealed.  And in allowing self instead of Christ to be revealed in us, then we would be denying, piercing, and crucifying Christ afresh!
"(Because of sinning) He has crucified to himself the Son of God afresh and pierced anew that bleeding and stricken heart." Mount of Blessings, p 10.

"By every sin Jesus is wounded afresh..." Desire of Ages, p 300.

"...if we deny him, he also will deny us." 2 Timothy 2:12.

If we could just keep self out of the picture, allowing self and pride to be crucified and mortified, and instead allow God to work through and in us--thereby revealing Him and His righteous character to all around us, we would then gain the victory over sin because of our union with Christ which strengthens us.
"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily." Colossians 1:26-29.

"When we bring our lives to complete obedience to the law of God, regarding God as our supreme Guide, and clinging to Christ as our hope of righteousness, God will work in our behalf.  This is a righteousness of faith, a righteousness hidden in a mystery of which the worldling knows nothing, and which he cannot understand.  Sophistry and strife follow in the train of the serpent; but the commandments of God diligently studied and practiced, open to us communication with heaven, and distinguish for us the true from the false.  This obedience works out for us the divine will, bringing into our lives the righteousness and perfection that was seen in the life of Christ." SDA Bible Commentary, vol 1, p 1118.

"It is the righteousness and perfection of his Son, who takes upon himself our sins, our defects, our weaknesses, which God accepts; and through faith in the merits of the blood of a crucified and risen Saviour we are prisoners of hope.  Christ's righteousness becomes our righteousness, if we sustain a living connection with him.  Then we cease to transgress the holy law of God, and become partakers of the divine nature." Review and Herald, December 18, 1888 (vol 2, p 269).

So by retaining a living connection with Jesus, allowing Him to live in and through us, His righteousness becomes our righteousness by a living active faith.  Thus through His strength we cease to commit sin, and become a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world through lust.
Thus there is no room for any glory to be given to any one of us, because all the power we used to obey God and His law came from God through Christ to us!
"...God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world." Galatians 6:14.

Brothers and sisters, we can only live the life of faith and obedience through and in Jesus Christ when we are dead to self.
"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." 1 John 4:9.

"For to me to live is Christ..." Philippians 1:21.

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20.
But in allowing self to be revealed in us, instead of Christ and His righteousness, we would be robbing God of the right to live His life through us, and thus we would be stealing away any glory which would have been given to Him!
"The proud heart strives to earn salvation; but both our title to heaven and our fitness for it are found in the righteousness of Christ.  The Lord can do nothing toward the recovery of man until, convinced of his own weakness, and stripped of all self-sufficiency, he yields himself to the control of God.  Then he can receive the gift that God is waiting to bestow.  From the soul that feels his need, nothing is withheld.  He has unrestricted access to Him in whom all fullness dwells....The highest evidence of nobility in a Christian is self-control.  He who under abuse or cruelty fails to maintain a calm and trustful spirit robs God of His right to reveal in him His own perfection of character.  Lowliness of heart is the strength that gives victory to the followers of Christ; it is the token of their connection with the courts above." Desire of Ages, p 300-301.

But without prayer, there is no possible way we could overcome self and temptation!  That is why Satan hates prayer so much, and is doing everything he can to keep us from praying--especially when we are tempted.
"Satan leads many to believe that prayer to God is useless and but a form.  He well knows how needful are meditation and prayer to keep Christ's followers aroused to resist his cunning and deception." Testimonies, vol 1, p 295.

Prayer is the only channel we have to communicate directly to Christ in every time of need.  Prayer is therefore the breath of life to the Christian.
"Prayer is the breath of the soul.  It is the secret of spiritual power.  No other means of grace can be substituted, and the health of the soul preserved.  Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Well-spring of life, and strengthens the sinew and muscle of the religious experience." Gospel Workers, p 254-55.

"Prayer is the breath of the soul, the channel of all blessings....Prayer unites us one to another and to God.  Prayer brings Jesus to our side, and gives new strength and fresh grace to the fainting, perplexed soul." Review and Herald, October 30, 1900 (vol 4, p 231).

Brethren, as sinful and unworthy as we are, we have been given the distinct honor and privilege of talking directly with, and can even urge our petitions before, the King of the entire universe!  There is no other royalty who will allow every subject in their kingdom to approach them at any hour with their petitions and requests.
It is out of love for unworthy you and me that our Saviour is willing to take all our fervent requests before the Father.  And the Father, out of love for Christ and humanity, is willing to hear and answer our requests according to His will!
"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in every time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16.

What love is this brethren?  And yet, many have come to look upon prayer as a drudgery, or an almost unnecessary item for salvation.  But prayer is vital for our spiritual life and for a victorious warfare against every temptation and sin.  But it must be the prayer of faith.  Without an active exercising of faith in using God's strength to overcome, it is impossible to please God.
"But without faith it is impossible to please him..." Hebrews 11:6.

"...If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain (of sin), Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20.

"...and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4.

"Live the life of faith day by day. Do not become anxious and distressed about the time of trouble, and thus have a time of trouble beforehand.  Do not keep thinking, `I am afraid I shall not stand in the great testing day.'  You are to live for the present, for this day only.  To-morrow is not yours.  To-day you are to maintain the victory over self.  To-day you are to live a life of prayer.  To-day you are to fight the good fight of faith.  To-day you are to believe that God blesses you.  And as you gain the victory over darkness and unbelief, you will meet the requirements of the Master, and will become a blessing to those around you." Historical Sketches, p 142-43.
This road of overcoming is not easy to travel.  It is a straight, rough, and narrow pathway.  Yet, yoked up with Christ, the hard rough road becomes plain, and any trials or suffering becomes bearable and the victory sweet.
"Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ....Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:3-7, 9.

"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake..." Philippians 1:29.

"If we believe in the power of Jesus' name, and present our petitions to God in his name, we shall never be turned away.  The Lord says, `To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.'  The psalmist says, `He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.'  Our help cometh from God, who holds all things in his own hands.  Our peace is in the assurance that his love is exercised toward us.  If faith grasps this assurance, we have gained all; if we lose this assurance, all is lost.  When we surrender all we have and are to God, and are placed in trying and dangerous positions, coming in contact with Satan, we should remember that we shall have victory in meeting the enemy in the name and power of the Conqueror.  Every angel would be commissioned to come to our rescue, when we thus depend upon Christ, rather than that we should be permitted to be overcome.  But we need not expect to get the victory without suffering; for Jesus suffered in conquering for us.  While we suffer in his name, while we are called upon to deny appetite, and to withdraw ourselves from lovers of pleasure (or from apostate corrupt churches), we should not murmur, but should rather rejoice that we are privileged in a very small degree to be partakers with Christ of the trial, the sacrifice, the self-denial, and the suffering that our Lord endured on our behalf, that we might obtain eternal salvation." Review and Herald, February 5, 1895.

Brethren, let us remember to pray to God for His strength to overcome every time we find ourselves tempted, submitting ourselves to Him and then firmly resist the Devil.  May we allow God to live in and through us.  May we allow the righteousness of Christ to shine from us, that glory may be given to the Lord God of all.

But some may be praying and yet still finding themselves overcome by temptation.  If this is your experience, please write for our compiled Bible and SOP list of the reasons why we find ourselves overcome by sin; the various practical ways on how to resist every temptation; and the promises which God provides for us in this battle against sin.
May we remember the above truths, especially the 4 keys to successfully overcome all sin and temptations--R.P.S.R. (Recognize, Pray, Submit, Resist).  And may we always remember to pray for strength to overcome, and then escape sin through our Saviour's power and righteousness to the glory of God.
But all the praying in the world cannot save one soul from sin if we choose not to resist temptation!
"Overcoming, means much more than we realize.  It means resisting the enemy and drawing nigh to God.  It means taking up the cross and following Christ, doing cheerfully those things that are contrary to natural inclination.  Christ came from heaven to show us how to live a life of self-sacrifice. In His strength we are to gain perfection.  He has made it possible for us to do this, and when He comes the second time, He will ask us why we have not fulfilled His purpose for us.  Day by day, hour by hour, we are preparing for the judgment, deciding our eternal destiny." Signs of the Times, July 17, 1901 (vol 4, p 189).

"Desires for goodness and purity are right, so far as they go; but if we stop here, they avail nothing.  Many will go down to ruin while hoping and desiring to overcome their evil propensities.  They do not yield the will to God.  They do not choose to serve Him.
"God has given us the power of choice; it is ours to exercise.  We cannot change our hearts, we cannot control our thoughts, our impulses, our affections.  We cannot make ourselves pure, fit for God's service.  But we can choose to serve God, we can give Him our will; then He will work in us to will and to do according to His good pleasure.  Thus our whole nature will be brought under the control of Christ." Ministry of Healing, p 176.

This then brings us to the fifth and last part in the issue of salvation: THE ISSUE OF THE HUMAN WILL (July - August).

MINISTRY NEWS

As we reported in our last Newsletter, our marvelous miracle-working Saviour has allowed this Ministry to be engaged in two massive and aggressive evangelistic projects.  To date, over 30,000 of our booklets have been printed up, and nearly 20,000 of these have already been mailed out to various Countries around the world!  We also have printed over 100,000 of our tracts, and these will soon all be folded and mailed out around the world as well.  We are so deeply grateful and humbled to know that God is allowing us a small part in His great work of spreading the present truth gospel message of salvation in and through Jesus Christ!  May we all realize that each one of us have our own part to play in the spreading of God's truth to others, and thus we all have something to do in lightening this dark world with God's glory.  Oh, brothers and sisters, let us be about and doing the work of our Master--Jesus Christ, for the night is coming on fast when we can no longer work.
We encourage each one of our readers, to continue to remember us in your prayers--especially our ongoing evangelistic projects.  May God bless these efforts, so that these silent preachers can reach out to seek and to save the lost, and lead them to come out from all sin and from all corrupt churches in order to be with Jesus!
We are saddened to bring to your attention, the sudden death of sister Betty Jean Snipes--wife of brother Jim, on March 19.  She is sorely missed.  We know that soon we will be re-united with our dear sister never to have to depart anymore!  Let us with firm determination fix our eyes upon Jesus, and be ready for His soon return.
We have just completed a new study which we are planning on printing up in booklet form.  The subject matter is dealing with the Sabbath-Sunday controversy, and specifically the Protestant dilemma in this issue.  It clearly reveals, from Catholic sources, Rome's authority for Sunday worship, and their clear challenge to Protestants to either give up Sunday and return to the Bible Sabbath, or keep worshipping on Sunday and come fully back to Rome.  It then examines 9 different common arguments Protestants use to try and prove that Sunday worship is Biblical, and then shows how all these arguments fall far short of any Biblical support.
The Lord is continuing to bless our Web Site more abundantly as each month goes by!  In the month of March, we had 16,836 hits, which were generated by 3,115 visitors, who stayed an average of 9:43 minutes each.  In these Visitor Sessions, 4,602 documents of Present Truth were viewed.  While most of these visitors were from America, we also had visitors from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.  All our visitors downloaded over 14,300 files, which totalled 638,893,000 bits of information!
In April, we had 19,163 hits, which were generated by 4,447 visitors, who stayed an average of 11:32 minutes each!  In these Visitor Sessions, 5,781 documents of Present Truth were viewed.  Again, while most of these were from America, there were also visitors from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Columbia, France, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom!  Over 16,500 files were downloaded from our Web Site, which totaled an amazing 738,086,000 bits of information!  So the combined total for these past two months is that over 1.37 Billion bits of information were downloaded from our Present Truth Web Site by over 7500 visitors!  Brethren, we again continue to marvel at how God is greatly blessing our efforts at spreading His Present Truth all over the world.  MAY GOD'S HOLY NAME BE PRAISED FOR EVER!!
We have also begun to re-design the entire Web site for this Ministry.  Several have mentioned that our opening Web page takes too long to download, and thus has the potential for people to lose interest in it and, instead of waiting for the site to completely load in, they move on to visit other sites.  We humbly recognize the validity of these complaints, and appreciate them, and so have invested in a new Web designing software which will enable us to solve this problem.  We are currently about 1/3 completed.  We continue to solicit your prayers in this important evangelistic outreach tool, as well as your comments.

TO OUR READERS AND SUPPORTERS: "Let There Be Light" Ministries is not concerned with using your prayers and donations to build itself into a kingdom, but is concerned with getting the Present Truth into the hands of the common people quickly, effectively, and wisely.  Instead of working towards acquiring expensive video and T.V. production equipment, satellite or shortwave facilities, we would rather use the Lord's money in printing up and mailing materials which give the full present truth gospel, as well as supporting many full-time foreign ministers and workers from various countries around the world who have proven themselves to be reliable and stable.  With their monthly support and present truth materials supplied them, these ministers and workers then have the ability to more effectively spread the spoken and printed truth, establish the people in it, and carry this precious truth into the homes of those who sit in darkness.  This is how the Loud Cry of the third angel will be spread, and is now being spread!  If the Lord so impresses you to help in these endeavors, your donations will be greatly appreciated--not just by this Ministry, but by many others as well!  MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU!

MINISTRY NEEDS

"Let There Be Light" Ministries is devoted to the spreading of the full present truth gospel message worldwide, and has been doing so since 1986.  This Ministry has operating expenses covering the areas of: printing, publishing, and writing of present truth books, booklets, tracts, and other literature; video and audio taping, production, and distribution; supporting several ministers/workers in foreign Countries; mail order--both domestic and foreign; traveling to hold meetings--both locally, nationally, and internationally; answering correspondence and questions regarding the message of truth; ongoing National and International Bible studies; sending free present truth literature to contacts in many poor Countries; etc.
The Lord's blessings and guidance, along with your gracious prayers and support, is greatly appreciated and needed.  Without such, this Ministry could not continue to reach out worldwide with the precious message of Revelation 14:6-12 & 18:1-5.
May our God and Saviour continue to lead and guide all those who have helped this Ministry reach out to souls who sit in darkness with the precious light of gospel truth.  May our supporters remember that they share in each and every soul who has been reached by this Ministry and converted to the Lord and His present truth!

GENERAL FOREIGN MISSION WORK NEEDS

We are currently supporting several workers in many different Countries on a monthly basis.  We check into the economy of each area and supply a base support which is adequate depending on their situation, but not extravagant.  This base support is to ensure that the monthly needs of each worker and family is adequately met for that month so that the worker may devote full time to the ministry work.  In addition to this, we are sending extra materials for evangelism, and money for printing, publishing, holding meetings, traveling, and other necessary areas in spreading the Present Truth in their Country.  And as the work extends, especially will the expenses for evangelism expand.  Whatever you can send to help in this necessary and vital area is greatly appreciated.
The work of spreading God's present truth is not to be limited, but must extend world-wide, to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people before our Saviour can come (Matthew 24:14).  What better way of spreading the present truth gospel than by having workers who speak the native language, who reside in that particular Country, who can live and preach the truth and visit the interests in their homes, and spread the printed truth translated into their common language!  Please financially help us to continue consistently supporting our current ministers and workers, so that the spreading of the truth can quickly lighten this dark world with the glory of God.

LETTERS to "LET THERE BE LIGHT" Ministries

Dear Brother Sessler,
"Wait on the Lord, and keep this way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it." Psalms 37:34.
Thank God Almighty, for your precious and amazing work in our benefit!
Thank you for the Newsletter (March-April, 2001) and studies you have sent.  In my Home Church (they) appreciate them.  I translate to the brothers in the meetings.
We do thank you for your faithfully sending us your materials.  They are so for this time in which we live, and is truly the straight testimony.
Thank you for all and for so much.
Blessings to all of you at "Let There Be Light Ministries".  God bless you always, brother.
     Sincerely, J.G., Colombia.

Dear Brother Sessler and Family,
     3 John 2!
May the Lord continue to bless you as you labor to do His will and finish His work.  And may we all be found faithful and look up with joy when He comes.
God bless and keep you all.
Your sister in Christ, E.H., CA.

Dear Bro. Bob,
     Greetings in our Redeemer's name.
My family and I was on a vacation for 3 weeks in the Island of Jamaica...My background is Jamaican, so I have quite a bit of family that resides there, the majority of my relatives are S.D.A. under the General Conference.  We stayed mostly at my Aunts place, she's a teacher at the S.D.A. school.  I tried sharing some of the precious Present Truth I received through studying God's words and being in association with Let There Be Light Ministries.  Unfortunately my Aunt would not give my husband or myself the time of day.  She had no interest in what we had to say, my heart was truly saddened...
But God be praised, some of the S.D.A. people would hear what we had to say, they actually listened.  Sadly we didn't have enough time educating these people with Present Truth, that is so lacking in their spiritual growth, they are so conditioned....Bro. Bob, my husband & 2 children & myself were the only vegetarians, everyone S.D.A. around ate (flesh).  Health reform is not practiced, so how can they give the 3rd angel's message?...
I brought some tracts with me also, according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit...I gave tracts in the Market place where I went to buy vegetables, to student waiting for taxi to go home from school, folks in the neighbourhood where I stayed....One day I took a taxi, and there were other passengers in the car.  I listened to a woman related a story about a ghost she had a personal encounters with.  Unknowingly that it was an impersonation of the enemy.  I reached in my purse and handed her (the tract) "Should the Dead Be Feared?"...So much more to say.  Perhaps in my next letter....
Your sister in Christ, J.V., Canada.

Dear Brother Sessler,
I have been enjoying the Home Church at Sister ____.  We have been watching the video on Separation and also on Unity based on John 17.  I praise the Lord for wonderful truths and His guidance.  May the Lord bless you and your family as you work for Him....
     In Jesus, A.U., CA.

Dear Bro. Bob,
Thank you for your continued Ministry of Present Truth.  "His goodness and mercy endureth forever."
We are presently still floating between our children and a Lutheran friend. (5 months without a home).
We have endeavored to buy on a couple of occasions.
We continue to pray God's will be done and believe our present plight is in His hands.  Learning to lean heavily on Him day by day appears to be our need and trusting Him in darkness as well as in light our experience.
We appreciate your prayers and all you and brethren do for precious souls for whom Jesus died.
     Love in Christ, R.B. & C.K., CA.
Dear Brother Sessler:
Enclosed is an offering...to be used for the missionary work in India.  Please use it to send extra Bibles, books, pamphlets, and tracts, and also to help the house churches in India. (Editors note: All the money is being used as per your request, and God bless you!)
I hope this money can help the people in India before the Indian Government closes the avenues to send funds for the Gospel work.
Lastly, I thought your two Newsletters on "Who and What is the True Church" were excellent.  It still amazes me that so many so-called "historic" SDA ministries and their "leaders (?)" insist upon clinging to the SDA structure church, with all the apostasy, corruption, heresy, and wickedness within the structure.
     Yours truly, P.H., MD.

Dear Brother Bob,
     Ephesians 6:23, 24.
I am working on the translation (our booklet on Jeremiah into Dutch).  I am nearly finished....
I have to let you in on something that is going on here.
There is a gay preacher in the Dutch Reformed Church that will be married with his gay friend (!!!!!) shortly.  I heard about this from my church's talklist (non-SDA) I am subscribed to.  I could not believe my eyes.  A preacher, of all people!!!!  On top of that, they will, I hesitate to tell you, (such blasphemy !!) ask the Lord's blessing upon their marriage.  Sad thing is, the secretary of the church does the best she can by keeping peace in the church by telling it isn't as bad as people think it is.  I quote: "It is something completely natural and people just have to get used to it".
You can imagine my outrage when I read about it.  Now some people of the talklist do think the whole thing is blasphemous, but are putting it in general perspective.  They say things like "throwing the first stone", "praying for the preacher", everything that God told NOT to do and is written in the book of Jeremiah, is being repeated right in front of my very eyes.  It is so unbelievable!
I am so very, very grieved and sad; having read this and to realize that a once so religious and God-fearing nation has come to this.  I have seen the book of Jeremiah unfold before my very eyes.  It is clear that God's calling voice has never been listened to nor obeyed.
I have posted on the talklist that I am working on this translation (of Jeremiah).  When it is finished and posted on the net, I will post the URL on the talklist and sent the entire manuscript as an attachment with an e-mail to all members on the talklist.  It's the best I can do to cause some sort of an earthquake within my church to draw attention to the church's fornication with Babylon.
I am determined to do what lies within my power to wake people up and let them know God is calling them out of their wicked and corrupted churches.
I pray to God that He will give me what I need.  Hebrews 13:20, 21.
Your brother in Jesus Christ, our Lord and King!! W.M., Netherlands.

Thank you for your response.  I was very happy that you still remember me.  Two of our brethren here had written you letters because they said they want to tell you what they think of your ministry.  They had read Grover's study about Revelation 17 and they read also your book "To Be God of One World", and they said that your book doesn't contradict the Spirit of Prophecy.  Instead of contradicting, we thought it enhances more deeper our understanding of the beast of Revelation 17 and it uncover the real nature of papacy which presented itself as a religion of Jesus, but in reality promulgate the doctrine of Lucifer.
The brethren here in ____ home church composed of almost 50 members of 3 different fellowship areas, wants to express our stand regarding the studies you sent to us, that all of the studies we receive from the "Let There Be Light ministries" are sound doctrine and it does not contradict the pillars of the (historic) Seventh-day Adventist Church that is found in CWE pp 30-31.
In line with our expression above, we still consider bro. Robert Sessler as our brother and his ministry "Let There Be Light Ministries" as an instrument of God to assimilate the present truth to the world.
We like to thank you for the pamphlets and studies you sent to us.  We just bought a VHS player but don't have any VHS tapes of present truth to play for our visitors....If you can spare studies in VHS, that would be a great help to our ministry here. (Editors Note: We are most happy to mail some VHS tapes to you soon!)
____ of ____, _____, had taken his stand with us in the present truth and together with ____ of ____ and I had decided to follow God's council to put up a sanitarium...Good news, God has given us a place. (Editors Note: PRAISE GOD!!)...Please pray for this project, we just try to step forward, but we know its God whose going to finish this as long as it is on line with His counsels.

CORRESPONDENCE FROM OUR FOREIGN WORKERS

FROM FIJI ISLANDS

(Combination of 2 letters) Dear Brother Bob,
Thank you for your message of 11th April and hope you are now fully recovered...Thank you for the support money and the extra for printing of those booklets.
I have decided that we are going to print the (translated) booklet Jeremiah, and we will print the other one later on....
Please forward those booklets and books which we have been requesting and also Bible Studying materials as we are now increasing in numbers....
Thank you very much for your e-mail messages and may God give you strength and good health.  Thank you also for the good Newsletter regarding temptation which we came across in our every days life, it is becoming more clearer to me than how to overcome sins in everyday life.  Thank you very much my brother and may God continue to guide you and give more wisdom so that this dark world may be lightened with His truth in these last days.
Days and months have gone by and more days and months are coming, each individual must do his part of the work faithfully to his God so that the Father's will must be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The work in Fiji is now spreading out to Australia.  Bro ____ who in is ____ is doing good work amongst the Fijian and Aboriginal brothers in ____.  I have sent him booklets in Fijian and in English, some books, tracts and pamphlets last two weeks ago.  He rang me from Australia last week and has promised to let me know of the progress of the work there very soon.  Please pray for this works.  He told me on the phone that the booklets are like "hot cakes" to these people and I praise God for it.  It may cost $50.00 to send a carton of literatures to Bro ___ in Australia, but it is more important that the truth for these last days reaches out.
I am spending more time with the ____ Home Church by establishing, by encouraging and giving them Bible Studies, etc., and it wont be long (before) we will be baptizing (more) souls in that home church. (Editors Note: Praise God, my brother, keep up the good work!)
The "Wheat and Tares" in Fijian is doing well, because some of the SDA people also accepted them and I have been delivering this to SDA churches every Sabbath.
Work in prison is going forward, and more people are begging our literatures than the ones from the SDA church.  I went there last two weeks ago.  When I arrived at the Minimum Prison there were three elders from the SDA church teaching them with their quarterly lessons.  I asked them if I could be given a time to talk with this people and they said yes, so I waited for about 30 minutes before I was given a time of half an hour (to talk).  When I began, every eye and ears were on me.  I went on and not realizing that my 30mins was upon.  One of the elder from the SDA signaled to me about the time and when I told the prisoners that my time is over, they said for me to carry on for another one hour.  The time I came to the end of it, not only the prisoners were agreeing with me, but also the elders from the SDA....
May God bless you richly and yours too.
Golden Calf Apostasy will be the next booklet to be translated.
Your Servant in Christ, B.A., Fiji.

(Combination of 3 letters) Dear elder Sessler,

I have opened a website...We can add some of our booklets and printed materials in it. (Editors Note: Praise God!)...
Last Sunday only I returned from visiting ____ and surrounded areas and conducting communion service at ____ of brother ____.  In last Sabbath morning for divine service more than fifty souls gathered and twenty-four home church members participated in that communion service.  When we were in divine services, two of the pastors and once SDA member from a hiding place watching to know who are all attending our church meeting.  The SDA church has disfellowshipped all these separated and joined with us brethren.  I had to visit those same forest areas (where wild beasts reside) where I visited last time.  One of the communist men with his family attended our home church from this area.  Let us thank God for the present truth is taught to the poor....
We have arranged for two days camp meeting in a hill station near by ____.  We arrange food and staying place for them....

FROM KENYA, EAST AFRICA

(Combination of 2 letters) Dear brother Sessler,
     1 Jn. 3:1, Heb 10:37
Glory to God the Father of our Lord Jesus.  Throughout the month of February I was sick of malaria, that I did not even go to ____, but brother ____ and ____ told me all was fine.
Time being short as it is and calls are coming in for materials from many places.  This past week we were at ____, and we had opportunity to go into this neighboring country (Tanzania), and being Kiswahili, speaking our translations of Golden Calf and The Will did us good.  There are more calls yet.
I have just received a message from ____ from Zambia who requires the Swahili materials.  We have only these two translations and we are to send to him.  We also have: The Protestant History, Wheat and Tares, Abomination of Desolation Stands (in progress) already translated awaiting printing.  Do you have the Last Message of Mercy in Swahili?  We seriously need it among others.  We also have the Glorious Everlasting Gospel in Swahili already translated.
The ____ camp (meeting) is already on, we are witnessing God's hand in the work.  With us is a pastor who has just severed connection from the Conference church, as evidence of its connection with Rome continues to be unmasked....
Our ____ camp (meeting) was fine.  The Lord is helping His people to see light for this last days.  The pastor mentioned to you last needed the call to re-consecrate himself to the new light, and is committed to sound the trumpet with no uncertain note.  Pray for such souls that the Lord can use them to reach many that could otherwise not be reached....
The next three weeks will also be very busy.  While there will be the ____ effort, has come from ____, ____, to which we shall heed on ____....Remember these souls to the glory of God....
I am putting the Kiswahili translations of Golden Calf Apostasy and the Will on registered post.  We are in great dearth of the booklets (Editors Note: several boxes of booklets were already mailed early last month to you), and our translation of other booklets are lying on shelf for want (of) means.  And time is short. (Editors Note: may our readers pray to God and see how He leads you in this matter.  $2000 US will print up 10,000 booklets, which is only $0.20 per booklet!)
Jan Paulsen (president of the GCSDA) was here in Kenya, inspecting a guard of honor to the great surprise of many S.D.A.'s!  May God help His people.
     O.O., Kenya.

Dear Bob,
     1 John 3:1-3
Grace, mercy, and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ be unto you and the co-workers at large.
On 17th March one person was baptized at our center.  My family was sick the whole of it, but God is great that they are well.
     Medical report (for March): indigestion - 1: female problems which are menstruation - 1: Nausea - 1: Uterine problem - 1: Vaginal disorders - 1: yeast infections - 1: headache - 1: malaria - 2: muscle cramps and pains and ulcers - 2....
On ____ we had an effort in Tanzania where six (6) people were baptized.  From these we had a camp meeting at our home church ground.  A good number of people attended.  We had a pastor who has separated, and had been working in the churches of Central Kenya Conference.  We give glory to our Father for this.  After the camp we had a wedding ceremony followed by a youth seminar.
     Medical report (for April): bed wetting - 1: chest pain - 1: colitis - 1: diarrhoea - 2: gas constipation - 3: bleeding gums - 1: malaria - 2: poison - 1: mumps - 1.
Pleasure to read your mom's letter (in the last Newsletter).  Greet her for me, tell her soon we shall see each other's face on the sea of glass.  Let her be faithful.  Be blessed.
     Your fellow Elder, P.S., Kenya.

Dear Bob,
General Christian greetings in the mighty God the Father of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, who gave His Son for our sins that we might be translated from darkness to the kingdom of His dear Son. Col 1:13....
Even though time is short, we have a plan of starting a church school because education in public school has been terribly corrupted.  Since sex education was introduced in our public schools, we saw that it's necessary to start a church school based on the standards of the Bible and S.O.P.  We have held seminars on this issue and have seen its necessity even though the Church ground is very small.
From ____ we shall be in ____ Province for an effort.  Then as from ____ of the same month, we shall be in ____ for a camp.
The work is progressing here and we are seeing the fruits of the work.  For that reason we thank God always and we pray that He may give us strength to finish the work.
God bless you, Says O.G., Kenya.

FROM NAMIBIA, SOUTH AFRICA

(Combination of 2 letters) Br Bob
     Greetings with John 10:22-42.
All who claim to be God's children are in the same light regarding a subject of blasphemy.  Should we claim to be God's people and yet not live what we claim to be, yes, we are (guilty of) blaspheming.  But if we are true in our hearts, conscientious, then we are the sons and daughters of God.  For this we shall be required to sacrifice...
There was an arrangement by the brothers in ____, for the first time we have come to meet them.  There our discussions opened the door to one who came to visit us--a Sunday keeper.  He saw very clearly the truth of the Sabbath as was so amazed as to why Sunday?  As compared to some SDA's who came to visit, one would true the words that, "only for one soul Christ would have died"!...Pray for him that he too (may) hold on to be a light to many in that area, for the rest of the population is Sunday keeping and very few of the so-called SDA's--who are rejecting the very warning they were (supposed) to share with these people.  Their light is been turned into darkness....
I was in Botswana where I went to meet one brother, but I could (was) not (able) to meet him...Yet, in God's providence I was able to witness to many others that I met there.
I had also been in South Africa with brethren ____ and ____.  There we had a good Sabbath, for the first time (being there), for the place...is all Catholic.  The few who came to be with us saw what the 2300 days holds and the 3 angels' messages.  Three sisters of the one family were baptized...I pray they will remain strong in God's power.  Br ____'s father was very helpful in all the arrangement and accommodation.  I hope he will, too, see the Sabbath issue (for he is a Sunday keeper)....
After this meeting...I went to ____...I there met with brothers and sisters there.  I was happy to see the work growing, though there are difficulties they a facing.  (Brotherly) love for one another is the issue they are needing.  Please pray for them.  One, Sr ____, has taken a sacrifice to go forward to establish a health shop hopefully to be a restaurant and a consultation room.  I hope they will grow on.  Please remember this work of medical missionary work in that place to continue on....
Br ____ in ____ has started printing a Lozi article for the people in this place, (he is using his work computer.  This is still our need for a computer of our own).  Remember his efforts in this work that, soon he will start with the translations of some of your tracts.  Pray for him to be kept by the grace of God to have wisdom over the matter.
Brother, the truth is going on slowly yet sure.  I pray that the Lord will keep the brethren strong in their various places and their character (to) grow from strength to strength and the rest of all separated brethren....
Your brother in Christ, A.L., Namibia.

FROM THE PHILIPPINES

Dear Bro. Bob,
Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Again the Lord has been good to us this month.  He opened the way for us to attend the camp meeting in ____.  Though lack of means, (because the fare was so expensive) God provided our fare, and we were able to attend.  It was held last ____.  There was almost 70 souls including visitors from different home churches in ____ who attended this holy convocation.  There were five souls who were baptized during the last day of the camp-meeting and two other workers were ordained and were added to help us in spreading the gospel to the world.  These were active and dedicated to the work.
After the camp-meeting in ____, we go directly here in ____ for there will be a mini camp-meeting or fellowship, and we just finished or ended today.  All the brethren in ____ were able to come together.  Through this kind of gatherings, everyone were encouraged and strengthened.
About our work here, there's a lot of work that needs to be done and souls to visit.  But sometimes because of the lack of means and is so expensive to travel, its very hard for us to reach them all.  But praise God for all His help.
We met a brother from the SDA church and we were allowed to share to him.  We asked him if he is willing to study more and he said he is willing and open.  We've been also sharing to some non-SDA's....
May God continually help and bless us in our work, and may you continue to pray for us and for our work here. (Editors note: you, along with all our workers, as well as the world-wide work, are always in my prayers each day!)
Your brother in Christ, B.F., Philippines.

Dear bro. Bob,
     Gal. 5:1!
It's been a long time since we wrote.  How are you doing?
I visited some people in ____ last Sabbath.  They were very thirsty for the truth.  Bro. ____ from here....has been giving them studies and asked me to give them studies on the organizational structure of the SDA church in contrast with God's design.  We got back here yesterday afternoon.  We rode 2 small motorcycles to get there since no 4-wheeled vehicles were available.
We tried entering some tribal villages in ____ --trying to establish a friendly relationship with the natives....
May God continue to bless you as well as the rest of our brethren there!
     Jude 24!, B.C., Philippines.

Dear Bro. Bob,
     2 Jn 2
Hi!  How are you doing now?...Last March I sent the translation of Protestant History, have you receive it? (Editors Note: yes, and thank you so very much).  Anyway, as for now I'm working to finished the pamphlets entitled the Golden Calf Apostasy...
Its too expensive to rent the computer here (for the translation work).  And we would like to suggest that if you have any used computer maybe you can send it to us or you can help us to have a computer so that it can less our expenses.  And a brand new computer can cost $600, that is the most cheaper (least expensive)....
Please pray for us and for our work here.  Till here for now.
     God bless, S.B., Philippines.

FROM TOGO, WEST AFRICA

Two brethren returning from a nearby village run into another vehicle on Sunday 16 April.  The two vehicles were totally damaged and 14 people greatly injured and an old lady later died.  Among the critically injured were two members of our separated brethren.  They had gone to sell their farm produce.  One of them remained in coma until Thursday 19th....other suffered fracture of the knee.
For 4 days doctors tried but in vain to revive the one who has fainted.  The families donated some money to help purchase hospital needs, yet there was no amelioration.  More prescriptions were made, and I personally gave out the equivalent of $80, the very morning I wrote you.  When they requested more, I told them I had nothing left.  Now, the S.D.A. church leaders and members watched to see what I could do.  Much prayer was offered as I waited...This Friday morning I went into the town to check my E-mail box.  It is then the miracle occurred.  I had sent tracts to many e-mail addresses all over about the "Mark of the Beast" and the "Sabbath".  Here in the box came a gift of $100 to help the ministry.  There was no name, no explanation.  I wondered who this might be.  Returning home I give out $50 to help these brethren.  This very morning, we are told that the Insurance company will finally pay all the bills and refund all that we spent.  I know that You, God, is our Refuge indeed.
I shall write as it goes.
     Your brother, S.C., Togo.

FROM UGANDA, EAST AFRICA

Dear Elder Sessler,
Precious greetings in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our heavenly Father has added a family of Brother ____ to his dear folk (in home church).  We are planning to settle this Brother in Village and open our presence in that place.
Two (more) souls have been added to Brother ____ home church in ____....
Brother Sessler, we are faced with a problem (of a) "worship place".  The owner of the place we have been hiring is taking it over for his own use, getting another place is a bit difficult due to religious inclinations of the respective owners.  Once again it is my earnest prayer that we either be bought a plot or already built house, where by we can either develop or improve on the already built place (for worship)....
Our brothers and sisters in ____ are nearly faced with the same problem, but as for them Brother ____ has offered a piece of land.  It requires iron sheets and cement, the rest they are ready to provide.
Friends, on a sad note I heard of the sudden death of Brother Snipe's wife.  We are greatly interested in his happiness...Let this Brother be strong...
Our tract mission (outreach) is greatly lucking (doing quite well), for it is the most easy way to reach out to the lost souls.
Two (translated) books are on the floppy disk.  The "Wheat and Tares" "Abomination of Desolation".  Everlasting (Gospel) is going to type set.
Pray for us as we do the same for you.  Amen.
Yours in the Blessed Hope, K.I., Uganda.

FROM ZAMBIA, CENTRAL AFRICA

Dear Elder Sessler,
Firstly, may I take this opportunity to apologies for delaying my reports (which was beyond my control)....
Our work, as assigned by God, is advancing steady though with great opposition by the (SDA) church.  We are happy to let you know that our Home Churches in ____ are going fine because many people are now understanding these truths.  Many are coming for Bible studies and booklets and tracts.  So far so good, the brethren with us are now organizing for a camp meeting.  We have a lot to do as for now....
Through God's mercy, during this past rainy season a few people have been brought to the present truth and they are with us in home churches.  We also want to ask through the contributions of the brethren world-over to consider brother ____ request over the computer, generator and a second hand small vehicle, especially for the computer, so that it will help us in this work of translation.  So far, the brother is very very busy in translations of our tracts to our local language which most people use here.  But the problem is that we do not have the computer to use in printing out these tracts and booklets.
We also solicit for your prayers to brother ____ who is at present undergoing a very hard test with his family.  I thank you for the books you sent....
     God bless, B.K., Zambia.
