"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I....For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me....But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" Romans 7:14-15, 18-21, 23-24.

"It was impossible for the sinner to keep the law of God, which was holy, just, and good; but this impossibility was removed by the impartation of the righteousness of Christ to the repenting, believing soul. The life and death of Christ in behalf of sinful man were for the purpose of restoring the sinner to God's favor, through imparting to him the righteousness that would meet the claims of the law, and find acceptance with the Father. But it is ever the purpose of Satan to make void the law of God, and to pervert the true meaning of the plan of salvation. Therefore he has originated the falsehood that the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary's cross was for the purpose of freeing men from the obligation of keeping the commandments of God. He has foisted upon the world the deception that God has abolished his constitution, thrown away his moral standard, and made void his holy and perfect law. Had he done this, at what terrible expense would it have been to Heaven! Instead of proclaiming the abolition of the law, Calvary's cross proclaims in thunder tones its immutable and eternal character. Could the law have been abolished, and the government of heaven and earth and the unnumbered worlds of God maintained, Christ need not have died. The death of Christ was to forever settle the question of the validity of the law of Jehovah. Having suffered the full penalty for a guilty world, Jesus became the Mediator between God and man, to restore the repenting soul to favor with God by giving him grace to keep the law of the Most High. Christ came not to destroy the law or the prophets, but to fulfill them to the very letter. The atonement of Calvary vindicated the law of God as holy, just, and true, not only before the fallen world, but before Heaven and before worlds unfallen. Christ came to magnify the law and to make it honorable." Signs of the Times, June 20, 1895 (vol 3, p 216).

"Satan declared that it was impossible for the sons and daughters of Adam to keep the law of God, and thus charged upon God a lack of wisdom and love. If they could not keep the law, then there was fault with the Lawgiver. Men who are under the control of Satan repeat these accusations against God, in asserting that man can not keep the law of God." Signs of the Times, January 16, 1896 (vol 3, p 264).

Those who proclaim that no one can keep God's law are actually stating that there is fault with God for giving us a law that could not be kept. They are also backing Satan's rebellion against God, and stating that God is less than perfect. Thus it is clear that those who are under the control of Satan repeat Satan's words that no one can keep God's law today. Please wake up from the deception that you are under if you believe such a hellish doctrine, because in stating that no one can keep God's law today, you are actually condemning God whom you profess to serve!

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?...Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him...Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:1-2, 6-9, 11.

So if we abide IN Christ, if we have the fear of God before our face, if we have confessed our past sins and allowed Christ to heal us from that past life, if we have chosen to be in Christ and to live through him and to be dead to sin because our past "old man" is crucified with Christ, then we will no longer commit sin! So it is possible for you and me to no longer commit sin. But Satan leads people to believe that it is not possible to cease from sinning, and so they choose to continue living in sin when they could actually be freed from it.

So what is the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan centering on? It is the choice to either follow the will of God or follow the will of Satan. It is either being hid in Christ, overcoming all sin, or it is being hid in Satan and continuing in sin. Who are we going to follow? Who are you going to choose to be your general? Who's servant are you? These questions we need to ask and answer ourselves, and it will be by our fruits or actions that we are known (see Matthew 7:15-20).

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed (Christ) remaineth in him and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." 1 John 3:8-10.

"The gift of God in his beloved Son was the expression of an incomprehensible love. It was the utmost that God could do to preserve the honor of his law, and still save the transgressor. Why should man not study the theme of redemption? It is the greatest subject that can engage the human mind. If men would contemplate the love of Christ, displayed in the cross, their faith would be strengthened to appropriate the merits of his shed blood, and they would be cleansed and saved from sin. There are many who will be lost, because they depend on legal religion, or mere repentance for sin. But repentance for sin alone cannot work the salvation of any soul. Man cannot be saved by his own works. Without Christ it is impossible for him to render perfect obedience to the law of God; and heaven can never be gained by an imperfect obedience; for this would place all heaven in jeopardy, and make possible a second rebellion." Signs of the Times, December 30, 1889 (vol 2, p 345).

If we continue to choose to sin and break God's law we will never make it to heaven. If we did, it would make possible a second rebellion, and God will never permit this. That is why God sent Christ to become our Saviour from sin, our Redeemer, Substitute, Surety and Sacrifice for sin. That is why Christ came down and took our fallen, sinful nature upon Himself, choosing to live in sinful flesh and thereby feel all the inward downward pulls, all the inclinations and desires to commit sin, but He resisted them all. So there is no excuse for sin, because our Savior showed us--in the same nature we possess--that it is possible to serve God perfectly. By choosing to unite with Christ, we can also have divine power to follow Christ's example perfectly and do the will of God in keeping His commandments without sinning.

"What more could he have done for his vineyard than he has done? God has made provision to supply his rich grace, to give divine power for the performance of his work. Nothing is wanting on the part of God; the lack is on the part of the human agency, who refuses to co-operate with divine intelligences. Through the plan he has devised, nothing can be done for the salvation of man save through the co-operation of man. Sinners who have been blessed with light and evidence, who know that through grace that can be supplied to them, they may meet the conditions upon which salvation is promised, and yet who decline to make the attempt, have but themselves to blame for their own destruction. We feel that of such it may be said that Christ has died for them in vain." The Home Missionary, April 1, 1895.

Praise God, that we do not have to remain bond-servants to sin, but we can be freed from past sin through the blood of Christ, and from future sinning through the strength of Christ (see Psalms 97:10, 24:3-6; Proverbs 3:7, 4:26-27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 3 John 11). But if we choose to continue to be evil, wicked, impure, unholy and ungodly, then we will never see the Lord (see Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 3:1-3; James 4:8-10; Matthew 5:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:22-24; Hebrews 12:14).

Although some will admit that it is indeed possible to be changed from sin to holiness by being united with God, they do not yet understand that it is impossible for any of us to be pure in God's sight while we willingly remain connected to corrupt churches or wicked organizations or groups. As long as we continue associating with corrupt and apostate churches; as long as we are willing to keep our connection or membership with unclean corporate bodies; as long as we refuse to willingly separate our presence and membership from these harlot churches, we will never become pure and clean and holy in God's sight. Why? Because we become partakers of her sins, and are held guilty. This is called corporate responsibility.

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." 2 Cor 6:14-18, 7:1.

When do we become God's people and He becomes our Father? Is it while we are in union with corrupt churches? No! Is it while we are associating with the impure and unclean? No! It is only after we have broken our connection with sin and wicked churches; it is only after we have separated from sin and sinners--not before but after! So as long as we remain connected with apostate, corrupt groups, churches, or organizations, which are full of darkness, and who are following Satan, then we will be held responsible for her sins and thus we will never perfect holiness in the fear of God. Which means we will never make it to heaven because we would be touching the unclean thing, and thus we would be unclean by this connection!

It is in loving mercy that God tells His people to come out of every unclean, apostate, corrupt, and wicked church; that we must separate our presence and membership from every harlot church of Babylon, from every church that is following the devil, from every group and organization that is showing fruits of unrighteousness, wickedness, sin, apostasy and rebellion against God. And if we refuse to come out, then we are a partaker of her sins--meaning that we share in these sins, and thus we would receive the same punishment and destruction that the church receives--which is the plagues of God, and we are lost!

So those who believe that you can remain connected to, and a member of, an unclean church, and that you will still go to heaven; those who believe that we have nothing to worry about because God will save your soul, while He destroys all the sinners all around you out of the corrupt church, are resting their salvation upon false hopes and erroneous beliefs. Just as God could told Lot and his family to flee out of Sodom and Gomorrah or they would be destroyed right along with it, so God is warning His people today to flee from the wrath to come, or they will be destroyed along with the church!

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh...Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:16, 19-25.

This has to do with our freedom of choice: to choose to no longer allow our character defects and habits of sin to be brought forth. It is choosing to be dead to self and alive in Christ--following not the carnal law, but the spiritual law and walking in the spirit so that we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. In constantly doing this we would not exhibit any character defects. But this takes a determined choice. Are we going to live in the old man, or are we going to live in the new man through Jesus?

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God....Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him...Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness." Colossians 3:1-3, 9-10, 12-14.

"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

"Brethren, be no longer slothful servants. Every soul must battle against inclination. Christ came not to save men in their sins, but from their sins. He has made it possible for us to possess a holy character; do not, then, be content with defects and deformities. But while we are to seek earnestly for perfection of character, we must remember that sanctification is not the work of a moment, but of a lifetime. Said Paul, `I die daily.' Day by day the work of overcoming must go forward. Every day we are to resist temptation, and gain the victory over selfishness in all its forms. Day by day we should cherish love and humility, and cultivate in ourselves all those excellencies of character which will please God and fit us for the blessed society of heaven. To all who are seeking to accomplish this work, the promise is very precious, `He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.'" Historical Sketches, p 181.

"Overcoming, means much more than we realize. It means resisting the enemy and drawing nigh to God. It means taking up the cross and following Christ, doing cheerfully those things that are contrary to natural inclination. Christ came from heaven to show us how to live a life of self-sacrifice. In His strength we are to gain perfection. He has made it possible for us to do this, and when He comes the second time, He will ask us why we have not fulfilled His purpose for us. Day by day, hour by hour, we are preparing for the judgment, deciding our eternal destiny. We are trading on our Lord's goods. When He comes, He will reckon with us, to see how we have improved His goods. Results proportionate to the talents entrusted will be required, and to every faithful, self-denying Christian will be given a reward proportionate to his work. Nothing that is done in sincerity is in vain. Everything is accurately weighed in the golden scales of the sanctuary." Signs of the Times, July 17, 1901 (vol 4, p 189).

"We can never see our Lord in peace, unless our souls are spotless. We must bear the perfect image of Christ. Every thought must be brought into subjection to the will of Christ. As expressed by the great apostle, we must come `unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.' We shall never attain to this condition without earnest effort. We must strive daily against outward evil and inward sin, if we would reach the perfection of Christian character." Selected messages, Book 3, p 148.

"Before the world, God is developing us as living witnesses to what men and women may become through the grace of Christ. We are enjoined to strive for perfection of character. The divine Teacher says, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matt. 5:48). Would Christ tantalize us by requiring of us an impossibility? Never, never! What an honor He confers upon us in urging us to be holy in our sphere, as the Father is holy in His sphere! He can enable us to do this, for He declares, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth" (Matt. 28:18). This unlimited power it is our privilege to claim." That I May Know Him, p 131.

What kind of power can we have in overcoming sin and perfecting our characters from wickedness and evil into being pure and holy? An unlimited power, brothers and sisters! And where do we find this infinite power? In only one place, and that is through Christ. Through Jesus we have an unlimited power to use in working out our own salvation (Philippians 2:12-13), which means there is unlimited results that can be obtained. Thus perfection of character is possible!

Thus God is telling His people that we can have all the power that is necessary to become perfect--just like Jesus. God points us to the Saviour and says; "See what My Son was able to accomplish with the very same nature you have? And you can do the same if you will but trust and believe in me." So if we do not overcome all sin; if we do not perfect our character, if we do not become pure, holy and perfect; if we do not separate and break all our connections with apostate and corrupt churches and wicked organizations, then it shows us that we dis-believe God when He tells us it is possible. This would show a lack of faith in God on our part, and whatsoever is not of faith is sin (see Romans 14:23; Hebrews 11:6).

Oh, brothers and sisters, do not fall into that snare because you will never get out of it. It is a snare that leads to destruction. God clearly tells, commands, and requires all of His people to gain the victory over every temptation, over every sin, over every character defect, and to be perfect as Christ was perfect on this earth. But how? How can we accomplish all this and become spotless and perfect? There is only one way. And this one and only way is not found on earth. Nor is it found inherently within our own hearts. This one and only way is found in Jesus Christ!

Many will declare; "Well, that is very easy to say, but how do we perform it?" So, what is the practical process in which we can overcome all sin and perfect our characters in righteousness? This then brings us to the fourth in this issue of salvation, or the issue of How to Overcome. What is the practical process in which we may be perfect through Christ? That is what we are going to examine in our next Newsletter (November - December).

God has allowed us to shift our Ministry outreach program more towards those of the world and of other churches, than we have ever done before! About half of our current outreach efforts are aimed at presenting the present truth message of the Three Angels' to non-SDA's! This outreach is not only through tracts and booklets, but through personal communication. Three or more nights each week are devoted to witnessing to people. Of course, most of this personal outreach is planting seeds of truth which will sprout later, yet these seeds must be planted before an harvest can take place! Please keep all of our evangelistic efforts in your prayers, as well as the evangelistic efforts of our united Ministry partners -- Gary and Elizabeth Cain of Warning! Last Call Ministries. Also see what you and the Lord can do to spread more seeds of truth in your area, so that the world can be warned, decisions made, and our Lord's return hastened.

Many of you are aware that the Lord impressed several of our fellow separated brothers and sisters to donate their time and money to enlarge our Ministry office! It fails us to find the words to express our thankfulness and joy in having the extra office space to carry on the work of the Lord! Even though there is still a little outside work left to finish up before Winter sets in, we are so very grateful to God and also our fellow brothers and sisters whose self-sacrificing efforts made this project a reality! May God's richest blessings be upon you all in great abundance!

Our co-worker in Fiji has translated another one of our booklets into the Fijian language called "The Last Message of Mercy". The Lord graciously blessed us with the extra funds to send him so that 1000 copies of this translated booklet could be printed there. He is already busy translating another of our booklets, and I pray that many more Fijian souls can be awakened and garnered into God's kingdom of righteousness. Our worker in India has also finished translating "The Last Message of Mercy" into Tamil, and has used the extra money we were able to send him to print 5000 copies! He has also translated our booklets on "The Golden Calf Apostasy" and "The Issue of Tithe" into Tamil, and is overseeing the ongoing translation of "The Golden Calf Apostasy" and "The Abomination of Desolation Stands" into the Indian language of Hindi. Also our worker in Malaysia has finished translating the booklets "Why Are We Held Responsible for Personal, Social, and Corporate Sins?" and "The Wheat and Tares" into Chinese! Please keep all of our co-workers, and especially this vitally important translation and publishing work, in your prayers. These silent messengers are indeed helping to accomplish a great work for God and the upbuilding of His kingdom of righteousness!

The Lord is also continuing to bless our Web Site. In the month of July, we had 9,459 hits, which were generated by 1,687 visitors, who stayed an average of 16:50 minutes each. In these Visitor Sessions, 2,047 documents of Present Truth were viewed. While most of these visitors were from America, we also had visitors from 14 different Countries which included Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. All our visitors downloaded over 8300 files, which totalled 283,213,000 bits of information!

In August, we had 9,383 hits, which were generated by 1,982 visitors, who stayed an average of 13:26 minutes each! In these Visitor Sessions, 2,175 documents of Present Truth were viewed. We had visitors from 14 different Countries, which included Austria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom! Over 8,000 files were downloaded from our Web Site, which totaled 329,829,000 bits of information! So the combined total for these past two months is that over 600 million bits of information were downloaded from our Web Site of Present Truth materials by those who visited! Brethren, we continue to marvel at how God is greatly blessing our efforts at spreading His Present Truth all over the world. MAY GOD'S HOLY NAME BE PRAISED FOR EVER!!

We are currently supporting several workers in many different Countries on a monthly basis. This base support is to ensure that the monthly needs of each worker and family is adequately met for that month so that the worker may devote full time to the ministry work. In addition to this, we are sending extra materials for evangelism, and money for printing, publishing, holding meetings, traveling, and other necessary areas in spreading the Present Truth in their Country. And as the work extends, especially will the expenses for evangelism expand. Whatever you can send to help in this necessary and vital area is greatly appreciated.

The work of spreading God's present truth is not to be limited, but must extend world-wide, to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people before our Saviour can come (Matthew 24:14). What better way of spreading the present truth gospel than by having workers who speak the native language, who reside in that particular Country, who can live and preach the truth and visit the interests in their homes, and spread the printed truth translated into their common language! Please financially help us to continue consistently supporting our current ministers and workers, so that the spreading of the truth can quickly lighten this dark world with the glory of God.

In your last Newsletter that was titled From Uganda East Africa, it told of a boy (12 years) who lost both of his parents by AIDS and he and other similar children needed money for food, etc. Out of the money order that I have sent please give $38.00 to these needy children (thank you also for this gift, it will be sent to our worker for this purpose)....Hope to meet you some day.

Pastor ____, a senior pastor in SDA church retried from work about 2 years ago. About six months ago this pastor had an argument with me in the City area. He raised his voice very high and as a result a lot of people were attracted to us. I politely asked him to sit down and we can discuss this issue about the church in a civilized manner. It took about an hour before I can cooled him down. After a long discussion I gave some quotations from the Spirit of Prophecy to dig out for himself and come back to me in 3 weeks time. When I met him after 3 weeks, he was full of praises and admitted that for the past 30 years he worked as a pastor, he was blind all the time and now his eyes is open. He met me again last week and he has ask me for booklets, tracts, etc. He has told me that he will help me to give the loud cry message in the vast ____ Area where he is farming now.

Last Sabbath I went to ____ Prisons and also joined Bro ____ and our Brethren and Sisters in the Home Churches in ____ Area where I taught them whole day on Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. Bro ____ mother was very much against our ministry from the beginning, but I was glad on Sabbath that she was amongst the Brethren and Sisters in our fellowship last Sabbath. More people are now beginning to know us or the Ministry and when the last message of mercy is given to them in their language they will all come to Jesus Christ. The work is going forward....

I know the Devil has been trying to stop the work here in Fiji, but I thank the Lord for His strong hand in taking care of His work....The second week I dedicated it to giving out tracts, etc., the other side of the Island. ____ Town, ____ City, ____, ____, ____, ____ Area. I made three separate trips to these places and met with some or our brethren there. They are requesting for more booklets....

Please brother Bob, I know we are stretched financially, but our priority in Fiji is a sound system. We do need it urgently. All these years I have been with the brethren from the ____ Ministry because I do not have a sound system. Because some of them to not believe in our message and it is difficult to work with them. I would like very much to have a sound system where I can preach the loud cry message anywhere and anytime I like to without any problem....

You must know one regretful fact about the Global Mission ministry of SDA church at Tiruppatur. The SDA has appointed two Global Mission workers to work along with Brother ____ (SDA church pastor). This two workers are not converted ones and also liquor addicts. This two workers joined their hands with a Pentecostal church pastor and baptized some people on Sunday. For this baptism was given by the President of North Tamil Conference of SDA. Brother ____ and this ____ SDA church members denied to participate (in) this unholy baptism service. This is the starting point for them to approach us to know our separation message. Now Brother ____ (resigned from being pastor and his church membership and) shifted his house from ____ to ____ without worrying about his future feeding (of) his family....

I pray the Lord for giving strength and heavenly wisdom to resist the satanic cunning devices towards the ministry we are doing all over the world. I pray for every one of the workers sanctification beholding the image of Christ. Let us pray to the Lord for forgiveness (of) our past sins, so that (the) outpouring of the Holy Spirit be poured upon us....May the Lord help us to receive the seal of God...

We have translated the booklets of "The Golden Calf Apostasy" and "The Issue of Tithe" in Tamil; and "The Golden Calf Apostasy" and "The Abomination (of Desolation Stands)" in Hindi is almost finished. Please let me know that is it possible for us to print the four booklets both in Tamil and Hindi totalling 20000 copies ($750 for 5000 of each booklet, or $3000 total), or shall we go for printing any one of the language?

Let us thank God for the past one year of (I have been a) co-worker in LTBL Ministry of Present Truth. The mighty works of the God of heaven can't be expressed with human words and it is overflowing with the joy of eternity, in the hearts of the children of God. God has provided all our needs in this ministry for the past year. We have entered into the fifth home church establishment at ____....As passing through the great oppositions and threatens from the camp of SDA we have come across....Our living God is same for yesterday, today and tomorrow for us....

Our ministry became the talk of SDA widely. For last few days I visited some of the SDA members in ____. Some people are cursing us and some people are welcoming us....The Southern Asia Division President D.R. Watts condemned the North Tamil Conference of SDA President for their inability to handle our ministry. So these NTC leaders are entered in to do all their best to resist us....

There are more people seeing and joining with the truth though it is not such an easy thing. We are now a number of workers that we can hold two camp-meetings at the same time to avoid too many workers at one place at the same time....Considering that many are now joining and uniting their efforts in the Lord's work, I think it is needful for to have many of the booklet: "Our Most Important Need Today"....

The end of the world is near and almost everyone is wondering what to do. But we thank God greatly for He has not left us without witness. He has given us the Ministry of reconciliation that the world confused and separated from God might be reconciled to Him. This is, and should be, the burden of every Christian. We must with the apostle Paul say "Woe is me if I preach not the Gospel" 1 Cor. 9:16....

There was a bitter lesson, view that I have learnt over the books of Sister White, especially the original (1844 edition) Great Controversy (4SOP). After my return from Zambia, I brought 96 books and some Sunday Law booklets....For the very first time, that we took this errand of distributing the books. Br, ____ received an extra box, giving us the total of 144 books SOP vl. 4. These books must be sent to all brethren here, to distribute to those who will love to have one....Notice: non SDA members bought these books, while SDA's only complain and criticize. This has taught us a very strong lesson. How others will take the places of those invited. Matt 22:1-14.

On ____, the above named br. was on his way to ____. There is, road blocks in the way. One of these is a veterinary check point between ____ and ____...At this check point no animals, animal products are allowed to cross over Southward. It is at this point where he as asked by the migration officer, which were never before placed there, only the police and veterinary officials. This time all are there with the military. We don't know how long they will be there.

Checking in their vehicle, the lady saw fish, live hen (one) and the box of 15 4SOP (books), 15 National Sunday Law, plus a few of his own. He was told: "He is arrested, for having so many books with him." The first articles were forgotten, as (these were) the sole purpose of the check point. He was asked the following questions: -- Does he have the license to sell books? -- Where did he get these books? -- Where were the books going to? -- Was he a lay literature Evangelist? -- From which denomination?

This gave us a chill in our minds. Yet, an eye-opener too. Why? Did they know, or was it the Devil's hatred of this book that was kindled? We don't know yet what will be the outcome of this move from now on. This was the first of it's kind since this message started in Namibia....We need your prayers over this matter that, these books and the truth spread faster before it will be so difficult for us to do this work.

Brethren in Namibia, and all over the world, we must endeavour to do our best while we still have time to share the word of God, distribute books and write these letters. Soon it will be too late! I believe that, this is an indication that the influence of Satan into Governments is already there. It will only wait a little longer and time will not be on our side. In Namibia there is yet many people who don't know about the Sabbath. Please, brethren, remember the true among them as well as us that we may do our best to keep close to our Redeemer, so, is for all those who are true to the message we have seen, heard, and received. We must not fail at this time, or our experience will be on no use. Keep on the narrow, that steep way, to the close....

At our Country place (sanitarium) we are getting (it) off (the) ground...We are struggling and it's (the Medical Missionary work) an issue around the area and it is waking others to the issue of health reform. Pray for us that we may continue until we are established....Brothers are busy in their individual home churches to share the separation message with those in their areas. Pray for us all here too....

About the progress of the work, we are still in (a) battle. Bro. ____ just came back from ____ with a bad news. He went there to visit our brethren and to be with them for the monthly fellowship. But the sad things is some from the group of Grover are also there. The brethren there became confused again. They (Grover's group) are working on different tactics now and making false statements that (which) the brethren blindly believed. This coming first week of ____ we will be having a meeting with the brethren. We don't know what will be the result of this meeting with them. We are praying that the Lord (will) work and awaken the brethren....Please pray for them and for us also. We know that nothing is impossible with God....

Greetings! I just arrived from ____. Spent the Sabbath with our brethren there. They missed your Newsletters and requested that you send them some...There brethren and sisters stood up against Grover and company in the last "council"...They were cut off immediately...Grover announced that these were no longer recognized as brethren by the worldwide home church movement without consulting the churches he claims he represented....

More places are opening up for the message in response to the simple efforts of humble MEMBERS of the home churches here. I am being invited by some people in ____. Thanks for your counsel! I am going to take these appointments one at a time. Some of these have been postponed once or twice now. I can only do so much....Travel is now more expensive because the price of oil here has gone up several times now and I hear it still is....

Thank you for writing. I am doing fine. I received your message nicely. You wrote at the right moment, I needed to hear from you, for upon hearing from you, I will better direct my next move....From various places I received invitations to visit. Recently I received numerous calls to send the translated booklets inside and outside the Country, especially Cote-d'Ivoire, the Division seat of the S.D.A. church. That Country is like the heart which pumps blood to parts of the body. From there the S.D.A. church works to reach the entire French West Africa (16 Countries)....

For some time now, it seems there is coming among the groups a spirit of extremism or fanaticism. Your booklet "Plague and Fire of Fanaticism" has been for very great help. The issue at stake is about meat-eating....We met yesterday Sunday to discuss this issue. Almost all present accepted the view as presented in the two booklets (of yours) I mentioned up (above)....(We sent some more Testimonies on this issue to help them).

In the afternoon of Saturday, 2nd, I left for the proposed (evangelistic) mission. Met with ____ place, there we laid plans to work on the morrow. The next day we got up so early, moved around several villages giving out tracts door to door. We covered 3 villages an area of around 10 miles. On Monday, we covered other villages (5) in which we had not visited, the interest is so great that even some were promising that we start churches in their areas, but...we were (only) on fact finding mission. Truly the harvest is much but the labourers are few. All in all we footed around 28 miles. Promised to go back after 3 weeks to visit other remaining villages thereafter (another) stage -- open air meetings in those places. Those whom the Lord shall bring, (and then possibly) Home Churches will be opened.

On 29th afternoon, we managed to put-up an open air meeting whereby 3 souls gave themselves to Jesus. On the 30th we continued in the same series, then from the neighborhood they started asking who gave us authority for we did it without requesting anyone except the person who gave us the ground. When the message of the Sabbath was presented, they became so furious and stopped us; hence (only) two people remained behind (as) they wanted to know how these things are so (the Saturday Sabbath).

The person who gave us the place (to hold the meetings) was an S.D.A. church member. So on Monday, the pastor came (and) threatened them and warned them never to repeat it or face disfellowship. These people's testimony is still on Christ, for they said we have not believed men or the church, in case of anything, they are free moral against, no one (human) is to shape their eternal destiny.

The month of July, 2000, has marked the massive second year to work in the Lord's vineyard. The precious work I have ever enjoyed before in my life, though not easy because it requires a lot of patience, faith and overcoming and taking the words of Paul in his second epistle to the Corinthians. 2 Cor. 12:10, for Christ's sake. In these last two months before making two years in the Missionary work with LTBLM, I had received a lot of letters from South Africa (Elder ____) which many brethren need our literature and Bibles. Moreover, Brother ____ and I had a big time of visiting our distant home churches and preparing for correspondence school lessons.

Brethren pray for the work (in) Zambia cause we have a lot of opposition here. Praise God because of this (opposition from SDA church leaders) many SDA's are now coming to understand this separation movement. We have more work at our other home church place in ____ 75km from ____ Town. We have people who need our tracts in our local language. The recent letter I have just received from the same area the Elder ____ reports to say the pastor for Seventh-day Baptist really needs our tracts for his flock and he wants me to visit them so that we can have a series of Bible studies with this flock.

In the first and second week of this month, my wife Joy had a trip to ____ some 350km away from ____ Town for our Ministry work. A couple had called us to go and settle some family conflicts between wife and husband. Praise God the man rang twice and confirmed that through God's grace everything has gone back to normal now. When we arrived back home, again one couple whose husband has been sick for a long time passed away and most of the funeral comforts (costs) were supplied to them (bereaved family) by God through us...Besides this, I have received a letter from ____, our might co-home-church brethrens, requesting us to visiting them and have a three to four days mini-camp meeting. Many letters are also coming from other people requesting for our materials.

The message in Zambia is going on well, though with a great opposition. The funds you are wiring to us are of great help and through this some of our brethren who had no truth have received it. The work in ____ is really spreading especially that I am now working close with some other brothers in the separation message. Thank you for the great Newsletters you are always sending to us to inform us even on how our other brothers are working outside Zambia. I appreciate the encouragements you supplied in the e-mail message...I also want to thank you for the promised tracts and more funds for making us reprint more booklets too. All these I commit in Jesus' name with enough power from God.
