THE  HEAVENLY  SANCTUARY,  part  5  quotes

1)     The Heavenly Angels

In the earthly Sanctuary there were angels embroidered into the curtains that covered the ceiling and the walls of both apartments, and were also embroidered on the inner veil going into the Most Holy Place (Exodus 26:1, 31, 36:8).  In both apartments of the heavenly Sanctuary there were depicted millions of heavenly angels all waiting before God (Revelation 5:11 in First Apartment, and Daniel 7:9-10 in Second Apartment).

What are all these angels waiting for?

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1:14.

These angels are waiting for God to give them specific instructions dealing with the lives of every one of God’s followers!  This angelic help includes watchful care over us (Psalms 34:7; Matthew 18:10), deliverance from destruction (Genesis 19:15-17; Daniel 6:22; Acts 12:7-11), and helping us grow in grace and remain faithful to God so we can be saved! (Psalms 91:11; Luke 2:9-14, 15:10; Acts 10:3-7).

2)    The heavenly Sanctuary is the central location where all communication between heaven and earth originates from.

“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.” Psalms 11:4.

“When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.” Jonah 2:7.

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears....He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. ” Psalms 18:6, 17.

The Almighty never becomes weary (Isaiah 40:28) and never needs to sleep (Psalms 121:4).  This means that this communication center never ceases to be intensely active every moment of every day (Revelation 4:8), and will continue to be until Christ finishes His atoning work, probation closes, and He comes for His people.  Then the Sanctuary will finally be totally silent, at least for just a short while!

“And when he had opened the seventh seal [the sixth seal brought us to the closing of probation and the falling of the plagues], there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” Revelation 8:1.

3)   Being directly connected with the Almighty through Jesus Christ means that you can pass securely over the steepest hills of difficulty in any trials of life; you can walk through all barriers which try to prevent you from advancing upward; you can overcome any sin in your life without fear!

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.  My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” Proverbs 3:5-12.

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalms 37:3-11.

4)    If you have given into doubt and lacked faith in God, then sincerely repent and confess these things, and if Christ is still interceding before God at that time, you will be forgiven, reconnected with Christ and God, and will surely gain the victory through Christ!

“But when he [Peter] saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?  And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” Matthew 14:30-32.

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world....If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 2:1-2, 1:9.

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:4-11.

5)   The Sea of Glass like Crystal

Why there is a Sea of Glass in the heavenly Sanctuary (Revelation 4:6), but not in the earthly Sanctuary?

The primary components of glass is sand.  Sand itself is mainly composed of tiny grains or particles of quartz.  Magnifying sand reveals that each individual grain is unique, irregular in size and shape, and can differ greatly from one another.  Some individual particles are very rough and sharp edged, while others can have a more tender hearted shape.

Glass itself is formed when a sufficient amount of these unique grains of sand are first carefully selected, washed and screened from all impurities.  Then these individual particles are grouped together in a crucible and subjected to an ever increasing amount of fiery heat until it becomes very intense.
The heat required to make glass is about 4,200 degrees Fahrenheit or 2,300 degrees Celsius.  If soda is added then the fiery heat can be reduced to around 2,700 Fahrenheit or 1,500 Celsius - which is a 35% reduction in temperature (see Article on How To Make Glass, from WikiHow website, at http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Glass, accessed 12-19-22).
This intense heat begins to gradually melt these individual particles of sand until they lose their unique rough and irregular shapes and blend together into one united and solid mass of glass.  The glass formed under this fiery process is clear and transparent, and you can see right through it without spotting a single one of the many unique individual particles of sand that went in to compose it.

This crystal Sea of Glass within the heavenly Sanctuary and directly before the throne of God is a symbol of what God and Christ and the Holy Spirit are trying to do with every one of their followers through this glorious plan of salvation.  Each one is like an individual particle of sand.  Each of us are unique; have our own peculiar shapes and efects in character; have our own particular habits and selfish characteristics, and some of us have very sharp and rough edges.  But when we choose Jesus Christ as our Saviour, repent of our sins to our Father, and allow the Holy Spirit to work the will of God in us, then just like with the grains of sand we are carefully chosen, washed and screened from all our impurities, and are also led to find others with whom we can fellowship with in worshiping our loving God together in spirit and in truth (Hebrews 10:19-25; John 4:23-24).

It is at this point that God allows an ever increasing amount of fiery trials to come to us individually.  These trials will continue to increase in fiery intensity until our peculiar selfish individual habits, characteristics and defects in character are gradually melted away and overcome until finally nothing of self remains to be seen.  This whole process of the continuous crucifixion of self until it is forever dead is only possible through Christ – the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)!

6)     God carefully and closely watches and monitors these trials in order to help us perfect our characters by denying self until the point where self can no longer be seen in us!  If at any time we should reach a point that we just cannot take the intensity of the heat any more, then our loving Father mercifully supplies us with an extra measure of His grace through Christ which, just like the added soda, will greatly reduce the intensity of the heat until we can bear it!

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in (your) weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

No matter how many temptations will come to us, or how intense and fiery the trials applied, we know that Christ is close by our side and that our tender loving Father will not allow us to bear more than we are able to endure.

7)     God and Christ are not the only Gods involved in this purification process, but so is the Holy Spirit!  The Spirit works to comfort us while going through these fiery trials.  He encourages us with the truth, continues to point us away from self, away from our circumstances, to look up to Christ so that we can then be able to endure through any and all trials without giving up the warfare!

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you....when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” John 14:15-17, 26, 16:13-14.

8)    Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo were each placed in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace that was heated 7 times its normal range (Daniel chapter 3).  Yet through all that fiery process and intense heat they were not harmed at all.  The only thing that was burned away from them were those needless confining ropes that had once bound them.  After their ropes had burned away and they were set free, then people clearly noticed the Son of God revealed!  Instead of the intense fire working their destruction, it is what actually set them free!  But the only reason why these followers of God were able to endure this fiery heat without being destroyed was because the Lord God Jesus Christ was in their midst all the time!  This same experience will be with each one of us!

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:12-19.

The intense fire is not for our destruction, but it is what actually sets us free and allows us to be saved!  Just as Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo remained united together as one in Christ during their fiery trial, and just as the tiny individual particles of sand remained united together as one to be melted and combined into a solid mass of clear glass, so let us determine that no fiery trial or temptation is going to cause us to separate from our Saviour or from one another.  Let these fiery trials and temptations work to press us closer into union with Christ and with one another until we all become fused together into one solid mass of clear glass.  Then when anyone looks at us, or at our united church group, they will look right through us and see only Christ revealed!

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:2-4.

9)    For to me to live is Christ”. Philippians 1:21.

Is this also your goal?  Then no longer cling to self, but work in harmony with what God, Christ and the Holy Spirit are doing for you in the heavenly Sanctuary so that you can become purified from all self and sin and be saved.  Work in harmony with all of the heavenly angels sent from God to minister to you for your salvation.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:6-11.

10)    “To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts” (Hebrews 4:7).  Instead deny self and come into complete harmony with what God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the heavenly angels are doing for you in order to fulfill the plan of salvation for you.  That way you can also stand on that crystal Sea of Glass and forever live in the sinless kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!  You can know that Christ is right by your side to help you endure through all the intensity of every trial.  You need not fear that there will ever be a trial or temptation so fiery intense that it will separate your Saviour from you!

“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?  It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:33-39.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.  Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.  Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.  Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 41:10-14.

“...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6.

“Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.

11)    There is no need to be afraid of any fiery trial, because God will help you to overcome and gain the victory in Christ Jesus.

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:7-8.

12)    “Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?” Psalms 77:13.

"Submit yourselves therefore to God" (James 4:7-8) in whatever fiery trial He allows to come for your salvation during His closing work within the heavenly Sanctuary, and also spread this saving knowledge of truth to all who will listen!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20.
