THE  HUMAN  SANCTUARY  AND  TEMPLE  OF  GOD,  part 2  quotes

1)     “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. Proverbs 23:7.

2)    While we were unconverted, what was our mental processes and character like?
“But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him”. Daniel 5:20.

“...vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind...” Colossians 2:18.
“The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?” Proverbs 21:27.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” Romans 1:28-32.

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind...because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness....corrupt according to the deceitful lusts...lying,...steal[ing]...corrupt communication...bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking...” Ephesians 4:17-19, 22, 25, 28-29, 31.

Who is the source of all such wickedness in mental processes as these?
“And you...who were dead in trespasses and sins: Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” Ephesians 2:1-3.

So what is the mind of the unconverted like?  It is proud, puffed up, vain, boastful, fleshly, unclean, unrighteous, wicked, lascivious, corrupt, covetous, greedy, malicious, unmerciful, envious, hateful, deceitful, spiteful, wrathful, angry, bitter, disobedient, implacable and reprobate.  The unconverted mind loves to debate, gossip, backbite, and invent evil things.  It will have no problem lying, stealing, breaking promises, cussing, cursing, and fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.  It lacks understanding, as well as natural affection and love for others.  This is all because the unconverted mind is given over to Lucifer to dwell and rule in as his synagogue and temple, and thus you will view things the same way he views them, and act the same way that he acts.

This unconverted mental condition is even found among those of us who profess to know God!
“...unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” Titus 1:15-17.

In this unrighteous defiled and Satanic condition, the unconverted mind is alienated from God and is actually His enemy!
“...walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God...” Ephesians 4:17-18.

“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works”. Colossians 1:21.

3)   What must we do in order to cleanse our mind from being under the control and rulership of Lucifer and then from being connected with all these wicked things, so that we are no longer alienated from God as His enemies, but can then become a proper Sanctuary and Temple for God to dwell in?
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 2:5.

What was the mind of Christ like?
“And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.” 1 Samuel 2:35.

“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:7-8.

All of this cleansing of our mind can not be completed overnight, but at least the process of cleansing can indeed start, and then it will be finished and completed over time.  This means that this mental cleansing is a continual process of allowing your mind to be transformed from how Lucifer had you thinking and acting, into now how God wants you to think and act.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2.

And please realize that what God requires of His sons and daughters to do, He will divinely help each and every one of you to perform!
“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel”. Colossians 1:21-23.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6.

So with these precious promises and assurances that each and every one of us are being reconciled through Christ unto God, and are being given a sound mind as well as divine power, then you really have nothing to fear or worry about as this cleansing process of your mind continues forward to completion.
“And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23.

“And Jesus said unto them...verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.

4)    All of your wicked habits, even those habits which appear as large as mountains, can indeed be resisted, overcome and fully removed, and you will achieve a full and complete cleansing and renewal of your mind through Christ which strengthens you!  This is because God Himself promises it!  So then if you realize this, go forward in faith and work in harmony with God to cleanse and renew your mind from all wickedness to holiness!
“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk...That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness....speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption....And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:17, 22-30, 32.

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:13-16.

“Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:1-2.
“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful....And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:12-15, 17.

It is indeed possible for you to have your mind cleansed from all filthiness, evil and wickedness, because your Great miracle-working God is working in you to do so!  If you really put forth all your best efforts towards being cleansed, then God will work in you to do the rest, because you have performed all that you could do and could do no more!
“Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.  For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.” 2 Corinthians 8:11-12.

5)   Exactly what kind of information is best and good for you and for all of God’s children to allow into our mind and memory while it is being cleansed to become a proper Sanctuary and Temple for our holy God to dwell in?
“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire [or in the very presence of God]? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.  Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.” Isaiah 33:14-17.

This shows us that we are not to be watching, reading or listening to anything that deals with bloodshed or evil.  This fact of truth alone eliminates most all TV programs and movies, as well as most books and magazines from being good informational material for the followers of God to be involved with.  So what type of informational material will be good for you to be involved with and allowed into your mind and memory?
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:20-23.

“Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.  For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.  That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.  Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Proverbs 22:17-21.

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11.

“The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.”  Ecclesiastes 12:10.

After cleansing the informational materials that is allowed to inter into your mind, then what should you then be spending the majority of your free time thinking on?
“...thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these...years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.  And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live....Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.  Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.  For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills”. Deuteronomy 8:1-7.

“Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.  My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.  This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.  The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” Lamentations 3:19-26.
“I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself....I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law....I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.  I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.” Psalms 119:52, 55; 59-60.

“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.  Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”  Proverbs 4:26-27.

“We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.” Psalms 48:9.

This reveals that the best informational materials to be read, studied, listened to and daily allowed into our mind and memory is the inspired word of God, as well as subjects and sermons on the truth.  And that it is also good to be spending time remembering how God has mercifully led and guided us one step at a time from how we once were to now how we are living a much better life, and all because of His love, tender kindness, and divine strength!  And if we do these things, then what will happen?
“...a book of remembrance was written before him [God] for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.” Malachi 3:16-17.

6)     What music and radio programs are good to listen to?
“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”. Ephesians 5:17-19.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16.

We are to be listening to and singing music or songs or hymns that are spiritually attuned to praising God and Christ, and that will lift up our heart and spirit with grace and joy in the Lord.  This fact of truth alone eliminates most all music and songs as being totally unfit for any of the followers of God to be listening to or singing.

7)     All these things shows us that we need to first prove and test all of these types of things, and then only allow to have access to our mind and memory that particular type of informational material which is good!
“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21.

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5:8-11.

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.  Let your moderation be known unto all men.  The Lord is at hand.  Be careful for nothing [don’t worry]; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things [only allow these types of information access into your mind and memory].  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9.

8)     After complying with all this cleansing and renewing process of your mind, then what does this show?
“And thou, Solomon my son [or each individual follower of God], know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.  Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.” 1 Chronicles 28:9-10.
