THE  HUMAN  SANCTUARY  AND  TEMPLE  OF  GOD  quotes

1)     God declared that He would do something quite special and amazing in the time period of the New Covenant:
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest [Jesus Christ], who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man....But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry [than the priests under the Old Covenant], by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.  For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.  For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old.” Hebrews 8:1-2, 6-13 (also Jeremiah 31:31-34).

Under the Old Covenant, exactly where were the 2 tables of stone containing the 10 commandment law of God kept in the Earthly Sanctuary?  It was kept within the Ark in the Most Holy Place!  But now in the New Covenant, exactly where did God say that He was going to put His 10 commandment law?  He would place His law in the minds of each and every one of His true people!  This then means that your mind and my mind would become a type of this Ark in the Most Holy Place wherein God’s law would be kept.

Under the Old Covenant, exactly where did God dwell in the Earthly Sanctuary?  He dwelt in the Most Holy Place directly above the law of God in the Ark.  So then since our mind would be a type of this Ark in the Most Holy Place, and God dwelt directly above His law in the Ark, then this means that in this New Covenant period God Himself would dwell within the minds of each one of His true people!

Under the Old Covenant, exactly what was connected with the Most Holy Place of the Earthly Sanctuary?  There was also the Holy Place, as well as the Outer Court whose boundary line was all fenced in with a white linen curtain.  So since our minds are a type of the Ark within the Most Holy Place wherein God dwells, then this fact of truth further reveals to each one of us that in this New Covenant period the remaining parts needed to compose the complete Sanctuary and Temple of God would have to represent the rest of our body.  This means that it would not just be our mind that was to be directly connected with God, but our entire body would actually itself become and make up a complete Sanctuary and Temple of God!
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God...” 1 Corinthians 6:19.

In this New Covenant period, God and Christ do not desire to dwell just within a literal temple building in heaven, but They actually desire to have you and me become Their complete holy Temple in which They can dwell and rule in on this earth!

With these truths in mind, then what would actually represent that white linen curtain fence that completely surrounded the entire Earthly Sanctuary, and thus in this New Covenant period would be completely surrounding each and every individual follower of God?  It would represent that each one of us are actually clothed or surrounded in the white linen righteousness of Christ!
“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness”. Isaiah 61:10.

2)    “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” Colossians 1:26-29.

3)   “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23.

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6.

Since we have all sinned and fallen short of living up to the glory of God, and thus we are all an unclean filthy thing, then is there any way that we can have God dwell within our body Temple while we continue to allow our bodies to remain an unclean and filthy thing for Lucifer to dwell and rule in?  No, not at all!  This is because it is an impossibility to have both God and Lucifer ruling together in one body and both ruling in the same heart!
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” Matthew 6:24.

Our body is either the dwelling place for God or the dwelling place for Lucifer, because we cannot have two masters at the same time!  It is either one or the other, but not both!
We must all ask ourselves: Do I love God enough that I am willing to allow the Godhead to dwell and live and rule in me as Their holy Sanctuary and dwelling place on this earth?  Or do I love the devil more and will continue to allow him to dwell and live and rule in me as his unclean and filthy synagogue and dwelling place on this earth?
“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” Matthew 12:33-35.

"How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him." 1 Kings 18:21.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose ye this day whom ye will serve". Joshua 24:15.

For those who may refuse to decide to either be completely for the Lord or completely for the Devil, please understand that you cannot be saved in such a neutral position!  Your refusal to decide between the Lord or Satan is actually a refusal to follow the Lord by default, and thus you will definitely be lost!
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.

If you are spued out, then you are not directly connected with Jesus Christ, and thus you cannot be saved!
“Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:4-6.

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:11-12.

4)    “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind...and with all thy strength”. Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30.

If we have decided to serve God, then we must serve Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength; or in other words with our entire being!

5)   Since we have already allowed the Devil to dwell and rule in our body temple and life, then is there something else we must do after we have decided to serve the Lord God with our entire body, soul and spirit?

When the children of Israel were living in disobedience and apostasy and were not serving the Lord God, but instead were rebelliously serving strange gods, they abandoned God’s Sanctuary and boarded up the entrance doors into His Temple (see 2 Chronicles 28:24).  And some rebellious Israelites even went so far into wickedness as to bring idols of false gods directly into God’s Temple and were content to allow them to remain there (see 2 Chronicles 34:4-7)!  As a result of all these things, God’s Temple became corrupted and impure, it fell into great disrepair, and thus was totally unfit for the holy Lord God to personally dwell in.
But after many years of living in sin and wickedness, the Israelites became so tired of serving these strange gods and enduring through all the problems caused by their course of rebellion and apostasy, that they finally came to their senses and decided to begin serving and obeying only the Lord God of heaven.

After they had made this important life-saving decision to begin serving and obeying only the Lord God, what did they then have to do next?
“Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old...And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD....He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.  And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street, And said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.  For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.  Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.  Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye see with your eyes.  For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.  Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.  My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
“Then the Levites arose...And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.  And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD.  And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron.
“Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
“Then they went in to Hezekiah the king, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the showbread table, with all the vessels thereof.  Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.
“Then Hezekiah the king rose early, and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.  And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD....And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.  And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped....Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD.  And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings....So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.  And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people”. 2 Chronicles 29:1-12, 15-21, 28-29, 31, 35-36 (see other times of revival in 2 Chronicles 24:2-13 and 2 Kings 12:2-14).

6)     We also must work earnestly to cleanse our body Temple – mentally, spiritually, and physically, until it is completely cleansed and sanctified and fit for our Lord God to dwell in!
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

“...what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial?...And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 7:1.
