THE  HEAVENLY  SANCTUARY  AND  TEMPLE  OF  GOD,  part 5 quotes

1)     The Heavenly Angels
In the earthly Sanctuary there were angels embroidered into the curtains that covered both the ceiling as well as the walls of both apartments, and were also embroidered on the inner veil going into the Most Holy Place (Exodus 26:1, 31, 36:8).  And in both apartments of the heavenly Sanctuary there were depicted to be millions of heavenly angels that were all waiting before God (Revelation 5:11 in First Apartment, and Daniel 7:9-10 in Second Apartment).  But what exactly are all these angels waiting before God for?
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1:14.
All these angels are waiting for God to give them specific instructions and commands which deals directly with the individual lives of each and every one of God’s followers!  So the great and vast majority of all the heavenly angels are being specifically sent from God Himself to the earth so that they can then directly minister in the lives of God’s followers – in your and my life dear ones!
This ministration of heavenly angels to us covers many different areas: anywhere from simple watch care (Psalms 34:7; Matthew 18:10), to actual deliverance from destruction (Genesis 19:15-17; Daniel 6:22; Acts 12:7-11).  But especially do these angels help us grow in grace and remain faithful to God so that we can indeed be saved! (Psalms 91:11; Luke 2:9-14, 15:10; Acts 10:3-7).

2)    The heavenly Sanctuary and Temple of God is actually the central location from whence all communication between heaven and earth originates from.
“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.” Psalms 11:4.

“When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.” Jonah 2:7.

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears....He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. ” Psalms 18:6, 17.

The heavenly Sanctuary is the central hub from whence all communication occurs between heaven and earth – between God and His people, and since the Almighty never becomes weary (Isaiah 40:28) and never needs to sleep (Psalms 121:4), then this communication center never ceases to be intensely active every moment of every day (Revelation 4:8).  This heavenly Sanctuary will remain intensely active all the way up until Christ finishes His atoning work, probation closes and He comes for His people, and then finally the Sanctuary will be without any activity and thus totally silent for just a short while!
“And when he had opened the seventh seal [the sixth seal brought us to the closing of probation and the falling of the plagues], there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” Revelation 8:1.

3)   As we by faith remain connected with Christ and through Christ to God, then we are directly connected with the Almighty who is sitting on His great fiery throne in this Sanctuary!  As long as you keep a firm hold upon God through Christ then He will provide you with all the light and divine power from the Sanctuary necessary to keep you steadfast and immovable in the faith as it is in Jesus Christ.  This means that you can pass securely over the steepest hills of difficulty in any of the trials of life; you can walk through any and all barriers that appear so large as to prevent you from advancing upward; you can overcome any and all sin in your life; because you are directly connected with the all powerful, all wise and all merciful miracle-working God!  So then as long as you remained connected with God through Christ, and fully trust in Them, then you really have nothing to fear!
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.  My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” Proverbs 3:5-12.

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalms 37:3-11.

4)    If you have given into doubt and have lacked faith in God, or have allowed sin and selfishness to take the place of Christ ruling in your heart, then sincerely repent and confess these things, and if Christ is still interceding before God at that time, then you will be forgiven, you will be reconnected with Christ and God, and then you will again have the strength and grace to stand back up and continue forward in the gospel warfare and will surely gain the victory through Christ!
“But when he [Peter] saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?  And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” Matthew 14:30-32.

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world....If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 2:1-2, 1:9.

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:4-11.

5)   The Sea of Glass like Crystal
Why there is a Sea of Glass like crystal in the heavenly Sanctuary itself (Revelation 4:6)?  This Sea of Glass was not depicted in the earthly Sanctuary!  So then why is it depicted in the heavenly Sanctuary?
The primary components of glass is just sand.  Sand itself is mainly composed of tiny grains or particles of the most common and abundant mineral on this earth – which is quartz.  If you were to magnify sand 250 times or more you would see that each individual grain is unique, are very irregular in size and shape, and they can differ greatly from one another.  You would also see that some individual particles have a very rough and sharp edge to them, while others are seen to have a more tender hearted shape.

Glass itself is formed when a sufficient amount of these unique grains of sand are first carefully selected, then washed and screened from all impurities.  Then these individual particles are all grouped together in a crucible and then subjected to an ever increasing amount of fiery heat until it becomes very intense.
The heat required to make glass is about 4,200 degrees Fahrenheit or 2,300 degrees Celsius, but if soda is added the fiery heat can be reduced to around 2,700 Fahrenheit or 1,500 Celsius – which is a whopping 35% reduction in temperature (see Article on How To Make Glass, from WikiHow website, at http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Glass, accessed 6-6-13).  This intense heat begins to melt these individual particles of sand until they begin to lose their unique rough and irregular shapes and instead begin to blend together into one united and solid mass of glass.  The glass formed under this fiery process is clear and transparent, and you can also see right through it without spotting a single one of the many unique individual particles of sand that went in to compose it.

Why is there a crystal Sea of Glass within the heavenly Sanctuary and directly before the throne of God?  Because it is a symbol of what God and Christ and the Holy Spirit are trying to do with each and every one of their followers through this glorious plan of salvation.
We each are like these individual particles of sand.  Each one of us are unique; we each have our own peculiar shapes and defects in character; we each have our own particular habits and selfish characteristics, and many of us have some very sharp and rough edges to us.  But when we choose Jesus Christ as our Saviour, repent of our sins to our Father, and allow the Holy Spirit to work the will of God in us, then just like the grains of sand we are carefully chosen, then washed and screened from all our impurities, and we are also led to find others with whom we can fellowship with in worshiping our loving God together in spirit and in truth (Hebrews 10:19-25; John 4:23-24).
It is at this point that God allows an ever increasing amount of fiery trials to come to us individually from all quarters, and many of these trials originate from our enemies.  These fiery trials will continue to increase in intensity until our own peculiar selfish individual habits, characteristics and defects in character are gradually melted away and are all overcome until finally nothing of self remains to be seen.  This whole process of the continuous crucifixion of self until it is forever dead is only possible through Christ – the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)!

6)     This whole fiery process we are and will have to endure through is being carefully and closely watched and monitored by God our loving Father.  He is allowing these trials to help us perfect our characters by denying and crucifying self more and more until the final goal is reached where self can not be seen in us at all!  And if at any time during this fiery purifying process we should reach a point that we believe we just cannot take the intensity of the heat any more, then our loving Father mercifully supplies us with an extra measure of His grace through Christ which, just like the added soda, will greatly reduce the intensity of the heat until we can bear it!
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

No matter how many temptations will come to us, and no matter how intense and fiery the trials applied to us, yet we know that Christ is close by our side, and we also know that our tender loving Father will not allow us to bear more than we are able to endure.
But it is not just God and Christ who are involved in this purification process, but also the Spirit!  The Holy Spirit works to comfort us while we are going through all these fiery trials.  He also encourages us with the truth, and continues to point us away from self, away from our circumstances and to look up to Christ so that then we can be able to endure through any and all trials without giving up the warfare!
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you....when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” John 14:15-17, 26, 16:13-14.

7)    It is just like the experience with Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo in Daniel chapter 3!  Each one of them were placed in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace that was heated 7 times its normal range until it was very intense.  Yet all through that fiery process and intense heat they were not harmed at all, but the only thing that was burned away from them were those needless confining ropes that had once bound them.  And after their ropes had completely burned away and they were set free, then what did other people notice when they looked directly at them while in this fiery furnace?  They clearly saw the Son of God revealed!  So instead of the intense fire working their destruction, it is what actually set them free!  But the only reason why these followers of God were able to endure all this fiery intense heat without being destroyed was because the Lord God Jesus Christ the Son of the Almighty was actually in their midst all the time!  And the exact same experience will be with each one of us dear ones!
“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:12-19.

Just as Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo remained in the fiery intense heat until all their needless confining and binding ropes were completely burned away and they were now fully set free in Christ, so then let us all remain steadfast through any fiery intense trial or circumstance that we may find ourselves in, realizing that it is this very fire that is necessary to burn away all our needless selfishness that actually confines and binds us all to Lucifer, and once it is completely crucified and destroyed then we also can be set fully free in Christ!
This intense fire is not for our destruction, but instead it is what actually sets us free and allows us to be saved -- which is a cause for rejoicing!  And just as these three followers of Christ remained united together as one in Christ during their fiery trial, and just as the tiny individual particles of sand remained united together as one as they allowed themselves to be melted and combined into one solid mass of crystal clear glass, so then let us determine that no trial or temptation – no matter how fiery and intense it might be – is going to cause us to separate from our Saviour or to separate from one another.  But instead let all these fiery trials and temptations work to press us closer into union with Christ and into union with one another until we all become fused together into one solid mass of crystal clear glass.  Then when anyone looks at any of us as individuals, or even at our united church group, it will be like they are looking through transparent crystal glass, where nothing of self can be seen, but only Christ instead will be revealed in us as well as in our midst!
“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:2-4.

Why do these redeemed of God stand on this crystal Sea of Glass mingled with fire?  Because they allowed themselves to become fully purified by intense fiery trials until all self was melted away and only Christ was unitedly seen through them!

8)    “For to me to live is Christ”. Philippians 1:21.

Is this also your goal as well?  If it is then no longer cling to self, but work in harmony with what God, Christ and the Holy Spirit are doing for you in the heavenly Sanctuary so that you can become purified from all self and sin and be saved.  Work in harmony with all of the heavenly angels that are sent from God directly from the heavenly Sanctuary to minister to you for your salvation.  And how are you to indeed work in harmony with all that God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and all heavenly angels are trying to do for your salvation?
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:6-11.

9)    “To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts” (Hebrews 4:7), but instead deny self and come into complete harmony with what God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the heavenly angels are doing for you right now within the heavenly Sanctuary in order to fulfill the whole plan of salvation for you.  That way you can indeed be privileged to stand on that crystal Sea of Glass and forever more live in the everlasting and completely sinless kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!  And Christ is right by your side and is actually with you to help you endure through all the intensity of every trial.  So you need not fear that there will ever be a trial or temptation that will become so fiery intense that it will ever separate your Saviour from you, not even those truly painful trials that come from your supposed brethren or friends that have turned into your enemies!
“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?  It is God that justifieth.  Who is he that condemneth?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:33-39.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.  Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.  Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.  Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 41:10-14.

“...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6.

“Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.

10)    "Submit yourselves therefore to God" (James 4:7-8) in whatever fiery trial He allows to come to you by working in harmony with what is taking place in the heavenly Sanctuary for your salvation, and then go to work in spreading this saving knowledge and light to all others who will listen!
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20.

“Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?” Psalms 77:13.

And we have indeed seen the true, loving, merciful, compassionate and self-sacrificing way or character of our God plainly revealed in this series on the heavenly Sanctuary!
