CAN  WE  REALLY  BECOME  RIGHTEOUS?

Part 3 – All Has Been Provided For Our Salvation

Last time we learned that after we have confessed and repented of all our sins, God freely forgives us, we then become justified and clothed in the righteousness of Christ by faith alone, and then we are accepted as being the sons or daughters of God as if we had never sinned at all.  We are also given the grace and strength and the shining armor of God to use in standing and fighting the good fight of faith by fending off all the attacks of the Devil, and are then to walk forward and upward, not backward and downward, in the newness of life and in the process of sanctification and righteousness through faith and works.  We are also to walk after the Spirit, and not walk after our old life in the flesh with our habits of sin and character defects.  And you cannot both walk in the Spirit and fulfill the lusts of the flesh at the same time!
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would....Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:16 -17, 19-25.

And how many victories over the evils of our past life in the flesh can we obtain as we walk and advance forward in the truth and commandments of God through faith?
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23.

So how many victories can we obtain over evil through our faith?  Victories over all kinds of evil: not just against those evils that are weak which constantly beset us, but we can even gain the victory over the great and powerful things of evil that we have fallen for again and again.

Now last time we mentioned a tremendous and often overlooked truth in this plan of our salvation.  How much does God the Father and Jesus want you to be saved?  Well, how much has God and Jesus provided to help you in this fight against evil so that you can be saved?  All of your confessed and forsaken sins are forgiven for free!  You are given the precious robe of Christ’s righteousness as a gift!  You are freely accepted and embraced by God as being His real sons and daughters!  You are provided without cost all the grace and strength in Christ necessary to successfully fight against all sin and evil!  You are also freely given all the armor necessary to successfully fend off all the attacks of the enemy!  And God even prevents the Devil from overwhelming you with too many attacks all at once so you will not be overwhelmed and defeated!  So how much does God the Father and Jesus want you to be saved?  A tremendous amount – They have provided everything necessary for you to be saved and not lost!  And why?  So that you can be together with Them, and then together you can enjoy all the joys of heaven, all the pleasures of the new earth, and all the wonderous things throughout the entire unfallen universe for eternity!
But as amazing as all this is which has already been provided to you for free just so that you can be saved, yet there is more that God and Christ have provided you through this glorious plan of your salvation!
When a baby first begins to stand up, do they immediately jump up upon their feet?  No, they go through a period of learning how to stand proficiently without wavering. And they do not give up trying their best until they have mastered how to stand!  Those who have children know what I’m talking about.  Now, after learning how to stand up, do they immediately walk across the room?  No, they again go through a period of learning how to walk proficiently without losing their balance.  And again, they do not give up trying their best, no matter how many times they fall, until they have mastered how to remain standing while walking forward.
But even though their early attempts at either standing or walking were far from perfect in the beginning, yet they were putting forth their best efforts to accomplish the difficult task before them, and they didn’t give up until they finally perfected each task as they matured.  Since we, as parents, could not take their place to either stand or walk for them, we understood their weakness and accepted their imperfect efforts as the best they could do at the time in their particular stage of development and growth, and we were continually helping and encouraging them to put forth more efforts until they finally got it right.  This same process of development and growth occurs with those who are born again and have become new creatures in Christ Jesus!
After we have been covered with the precious robe of Christ’s righteousness and stand perfect before God as if we had never sinned at all, our first attempts at standing, or walking, or fighting this good fight of faith in our new born again life will be far from the perfect example of what Christ revealed when He was on the earth.  Then does God disown us because we are not yet living up to the perfect example of what His sons and daughters in Christ should reveal?  No, not at all.  God mercifully understands that we are still babes in Christ, and as long as we put forth our best efforts at obeying His will, then, even though we may come short of the standard of perfection, yet God accepts us as still being perfect in the particular stage of development and level of growth we are at in our Christian walk.
But how could God accept us as really being perfect when, after we did the best we could, we still came short of perfection?  Amazingly, because we put forth our best efforts and could do no more, then God accepted Christ’s perfection on our behalf.  Or in other words, Christ made up the difference between where our best efforts ended and what the standard of perfection is!
“For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.” Psalms 18:30-32.

“...their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17.

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.” Jude 1:24-25.

So on a scale of 1 - 10, if 10 was the standard of absolute perfection, and our best efforts at the time only made it to a 4 on this scale, then Christ’s perfection would make up the difference, making us a perfect 10 through His imputed righteousness.  How?  Because we are clothed in His righteousness, and the Father mercifully does not investigate beneath this covering of the Lamb, but accepts us as being faultless and perfect in Christ “with exceeding joy”!
“The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness...” Jeremiah 51:10.

“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever...” Psalms 138:8.

Now this is not talking about someone who stops the warfare, refusing to advance upward, and instead has chosen to sin, because Christ’s robe of righteousness will never cover anyone who practices a known sin.  But this is talking about advancing upward on this straight and narrow pathway, not walking in our flesh, but doing our best to walk in the Spirit and working to overcome our defects and faults of character.  And then, if we should come short of perfection, Christ will make up the difference with His precious righteousness!
“Who shall ascend [advance upward] into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” Psalms 24:3-5.

When we were justified, Christ’s righteousness was imputed to us by faith alone.  But during the process of sanctification, where we are learning by experimentation and experience how to walk and grow more into a mature and perfect man or woman in Christ, Christ’s righteousness is imparted to as through faith as we put forth our best efforts to obey the will of God towards perfecting our characters in all areas.  And after we have done our best, if we still came short of perfection in any area, God understands where we are in our growth process of sanctification, and He mercifully accepts us as being perfect in our beloved Saviour.
As this amazing truth is so important to understand, and since the Spirit of Prophecy can make things so very plain, let us quote some from the Testimonies about this truth:
“Talk of His love, talk of His goodness, talk of His power, for He will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able to bear. In Christ is our righteousness. Jesus makes up our deficiencies because He sees we cannot do it ourselves.” Manuscript Releases, vol 4, p 179.

The grace and perfection of Christ make up for our deficiencies; his character and righteousness are imputed to his believing, obedient children.” Youth’s Instructor, May 14, 1884.

“Jesus loves His children, even if they err. They belong to Jesus and we are to treat them as the purchase of the blood of Jesus Christ. Any unreasonable course pursued toward them is written in the books as against Jesus Christ. He keeps His eye upon them, and when they do their best, calling upon God for His help, be assured the service will be accepted, although imperfect.
“Jesus is perfect. Christ's righteousness is imputed unto them...Jesus makes up for our unavoidable deficiencies. Where Christians are faithful to each other, true and loyal to the Captain of the Lord's host, never betraying trusts into the enemy's hands, they will be transformed into Christ's character. Jesus will abide in their hearts by faith.” Selected Messages, Book 3, p 195-196.

And just as amazing, this making up of our deficiencies in our walk with God on this straight and narrow pathway, even includes any deficiencies in our work and service for God.
“...wherein you are too feeble to do the work as thoroughly as if you were well, Jesus' precious mercy and merits supplies the deficiencies on the part of His repenting, humble ones.” Ellen G. White in Europe 1885-1887, p 89.

“Many feel that their faults of character make it impossible for them to meet the standard that Christ has erected; but all such ones have to do is to humble themselves at every step under the mighty hand of God. Christ does not estimate the man by the amount of work he does, but by the spirit in which the work is performed. When He sees men lifting the burdens, trying to carry them in lowliness of mind, with distrust of self, and with reliance upon Him, He adds to their work His perfection and sufficiency, and it is accepted of the Father. We are accepted in the Beloved. The sinner's defects are covered by the perfection and fullness of the Lord our righteousness. Those who with sincere will, with contrite heart, are putting forth humble efforts to live up to the requirements of God, are looked upon by the Father with pitying, tender love. He regards such as obedient children, and the righteousness of Christ is imputed to them.” Manuscript Releases, vol 11, p 284-285.

Do you realize what this means dear ones?  This means that all the way along this straight and narrow pathway which you are walking and advancing upward on, you can indeed be perfect in and through Christ Jesus as you continue to grow in grace!  So you can have the assurance that you are accepted of God as His perfect son or daughter all along this straight and narrow pathway because you are doing your best to obey His will!  This should then give you the assurance and confidence that you can indeed come directly before God at any time of need without having any fear of being rejected because you couldn’t do a better job at walking at that particular time!
“For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more....Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” Hebrews 10:14-17, 19-24.
Do you now understand better the statement of Paul to the Colossians about Christ?  He plainly stated:
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him...” Colossians 2:6-10.

The Greek word for “complete” means “to level up or fill up or to perfect” (Strong’s #4137).  So dear one, you are complete, leveled and filled up to the standard of perfection and righteousness in Jesus Christ at every step in this Christian walk if you do your best and not give in to your past life of sin!  The Lord Jesus Christ is your Helper all along that narrow pathway, and He will continue to make up your deficiencies of character each and every step of the way until you become “a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” growing “up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” (Ephesians 4:13, 15).
Remember Christ told us that “first [comes] the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come” (Mark 4:28-29).  Thus at every step you take up this straight and narrow pathway, at every stage of growth and development in your Christian walk, you stand perfect and righteous and complete before the Father in Jesus.  Just like with the corn in the husk: while it was growing towards becoming that perfectly formed full corn in the ear, it was perfect at each stage of development because it was following the will of God!  The same with our growth and development towards becoming that perfectly formed man or woman in character, we are perfect in Christ at each stage – if we do the best that we can do in following the will of God.
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth [up that straight and narrow path], and grow up as calves of the stall.” Malachi 4:2.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17.

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18.

So in the beginning of our Christian life and walk with God we do not start out on this straight and narrow pathway with a character that is fully formed in perfection and righteousness.  But we start out as “calves” or young children of God who are to learn to first stand, fight and then “go forth” in walking forward and upward on this “path of the just”, and as we advance we also grow and develop “from faith to faith” and “more and more unto the perfect day” until we finally become a fully mature Christian man or woman who represents Christ perfectly in character.  Then Jesus no longer has to make up any deficiencies in us!  And all this is only made possible through the glorious plan of our salvation!
All I can say dear ones, is what an amazing and glorious plan that God has developed and Christ is carrying out just so we can be saved!

So again, how much does God and Jesus want you to be saved?  All of your confessed and forsaken sins are forgiven for free!  You are given the precious robe of Christ’s righteousness as a gift!  You are freely accepted and embraced by God as being His real sons and daughters!  You are provided without cost all the grace and strength in Christ necessary to successfully fight against all sin and evil!  You are also freely given all the armor necessary to successfully fend off all the attacks of the enemy!  God even prevents the Devil from overwhelming you with too many attacks all at once so you will not be overwhelmed and defeated!  And we just learned that Christ even makes up for our deficiencies and defects of character with His righteousness as we do our best to deny our habits of sin and defects of the flesh while obeying the will of God.
So how much does God and Christ want you to be saved?  How much do They love you and want you to be with Them for eternity?  More than just a tremendous amount – it is truly a stupendous amount!
But dear ones, as amazing as this plan of our salvation is and all that God and Christ have already provided for each one of us, it even goes beyond this.  They have provided even more to help each one of us to be saved and not lost!
How many of us can overcome by ourselves in our own strength and gain salvation?  Not one.  Now how many of us can overcome by ourselves in the strength and power of God and gain salvation?  Again, not one!
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13.

Now lets just think about this for a moment.  Since God has spent so much time, sacrifice and effort to provide you with justification and righteousness by faith, then do you think that He would just abandon His now newly justified and righteous young child to battle it all alone against sin and the Devil?  No way!  He loves you too much, and cannot sit on the sideline watching!  Also, do you think that Christ, after all the time, pain and sacrifice that He endured to provide you with His precious robe of righteousness, that He would just abandon you to battle it all alone against sin and the Devil as well?  No way.  He also loves you too much, and also cannot sit on the sideline watching!
“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21.

So both God the Father and Jesus Christ are actively working for our perfection and salvation.  But after all that we have done to both God our Father and to Jesus our Saviour, and yet they still love us enough to sacrifice so much in order to save us, is indeed a mystery!
“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” Colossians 1:26-29.

Now we read that God “worketh in you” to do His will.  But just how is God in you?  Through Jesus Christ who is the connecting link or mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).  And we also read that Christ is “in you, the hope of glory”.  But just how is Jesus Christ in you?  Through the Holy Spirit of truth, His representative.

“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name [including helping us to overcome all sin and character defects], that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  If ye love me, keep my commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you [so how does Christ come to us?  Through the Holy Spirit]. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” John 14:10-20.
“Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.” 1 John 4:13.

“...the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.” 2 Timothy 1:14.

So God the Father works in us through His Son Jesus Christ.  And Jesus Christ works in us through the Holy Spirit.  And the Holy Spirit works in us through the truth and word of God.  So all 3 mighty powers and Beings in the Godhead are not just sitting on the sidelines and watching us battle alone, but They are actively working in us so that we all can fight this battle together against sin and the Devil!
“The Godhead was stirred with pity for the race, and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit gave themselves to the working out of the plan of redemption.” Review and Herald, May 2, 1912.

So it is not just our Father and Jesus that are working for our salvation, but the Holy Spirit as well!  And as long as you continue to walk and advance forward in the armor of God working to please Him through faith and continue holding on to and retaining the righteousness that was given to you by faith in the beginning, how can you fall or fail to gain the victory?  That is why we are to be baptized in the name of all 3 of these Mighty Gods so that each One has our permission to help us all along this pathway (see Matthew 28:19-20)!
But without the Holy Spirit being in us, then we would not have either Jesus or our heavenly Father in us as well.  That is why the Holy Spirit is called another Comforter besides Christ, and amazingly He is also given to us as a free gift without cost from the Father!
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11:13.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38.

Now what kind of power do these Gods have as They work in us?  They have Divine power!  So since we have this direct connection to Their divine power working in us, then how many times can we gain the victory over sin and the Devil?
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9.

     And what represents this seed?
“And I will put enmity between thee [the serpent] and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15.

Who bruised the head of the serpent or Satan?  Jesus Christ – He was superior to Satan in everything because He never gave in to any of Satan’s temptations.  And who bruised the heel of Jesus?  Satan – by crucifying Him on the cross.  So who represents the seed that is given to us when we are born again?  This seed represents Jesus Christ
“...thy seed, which is Christ.” Galatians 3:16.

Now before we were born again, we were clothed in what kind of garments?  We were clothed in filthy and sin-stained garments of unrighteousness.
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags...and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6.

Now please bear with me here.  The Hebrew word for “filthy” means “menstrual flux” (Strong’s #5708), and the Hebrew word for “rags” means “clothing or garment” (Strong’s #899).  So “filthy rags” literally means clothing or garments that have been soiled by the menstrual flux of a woman’s monthly cycle, and in Leviticus it mentions that this menstrual issue of blood defiles and makes unclean everything that it comes in contact with (see Leviticus 15:19-27).  This is a very descriptive picture of someone contaminated with sin, and thus any good deeds of righteousness which they might do could not be accepted by God because it was done while their garments were contaminated by filth.
But once we are born again, these filthy garments are removed from us, we are then cleansed and clothed in Christ’s robe of righteousness, and the seed or Jesus Christ is now planted within us.  Now when a women becomes impregnated with seed, what happens to her menstruation cycle?  It ceases, and so there is no more blood to defile her garments.  So in this born again condition, we become, as it were, impregnated with the seed or we have Christ living within us.  Or in other words, we are united with Divinity.
Now what happens when humanity and Divinity is combined?  “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin”!  So once our weak efforts to obey God combines with the Divine strength and grace of Christ, what happens?  We will not sin, but we will do the will of God!  So you can see that we could then do works of righteousness that would be accepted by God since we are no longer clothed in the filthy rags experience we had while living in sin and in fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.
“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:1-4.

So now, how much does God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit want you to be saved?  Well, all of your confessed and forsaken sins are forgiven for free! Christ even makes up for your deficiencies and defects of character with His righteousness as you do your best to deny your habits of sin and defects of the flesh while obeying the will of God.  And, as we just learned, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not abandon you to fight this warfare alone, but They all work together in you providing you with Their Divine power so that you will no longer sin, but will do the will of God in all things!
And as if you even needed further proof of how anxious your heavenly Father is that you become saved and not lose eternal life, He even hears and answers every one of your prayers to Him before you have even finished saying them – especially those prayers where you are asking for help!
“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24.

So how much does God and Christ and the Holy Spirit want you to be saved?  How much do They all love you and want you to be with Them for eternity?  More than just a tremendous amount; more than just a stupendous amount – it is truly an infinite amount!
Now dear ones, if you fully understood, realized and appreciated all that the Godhead have already provided you and all that They are already Personally doing through this glorious plan of your redemption and salvation just so that you could be with Them and together enjoy eternal life, what will you be led to say and to do?
“My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.  I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.” Psalms 71:15-16.

“The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.” Isaiah 33:5.

“The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.” Jeremiah 51:10.

So knowing this glorious plan of your salvation, and knowing all that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are Personally doing so that you can be saved, what are you to do?  “I will go in the strength of the Lord God.”  But how?  Just by taking one advancing and upward step at a time!

This then brings us to the final part in this Series of Can We Really Become Righteous?, or part 4 – What More Can God Do?  It Is Now Up To You!

In the past couple of our Newsletters, we have been studying into the Bible subject of Christ and His Righteousness.  We decided to combine all of this material together into a booklet called “The Precious Covering of Christ”.  This booklet brings before the reader this glorious and amazing gospel subject of what Christ went through to provide sinners with His precious robe of righteousness and thus save them from sin and death.  It is all written strictly from the Bible and thus would be an excellent evangelistic tool in reaching out to the world.  If you would like to have a complementary copy of this booklet, please write us.

We would also like to encourage our readers to check out a website that is dedicated to providing a “voice” to the people who have joined the separation movement out of the SDA church, as well as out of all the other churches of Babylon.  The website is www.SDRVoice.org.  This site also publishes an excellent Magazine called “The SDR Voice”, and on the site you can view past articles of interest, and can also request to be added to their mailing list to receive future copies for free.

For those who are not able to have a home church to attend and who miss the benefit of fellowshipping together with others of like faith, there is an on-line Home Church which meets every Sabbath at 12:00 noon Central Time.  This is a live broadcast of one of our separated Home Churches in Indiana which is pastored by brother Nicholas Patula.  Please feel free to come and fellowship with others of like faith and enjoy the spiritual uplifting experience.  You can also stay after the church service and be able to chat with brothers and sisters, as well as visitors, from around the world.  Many come away with their questions answered, their hearts uplifted and filled with gratefulness for all that God has and is doing for His people!  If you would like to fellowship with us, go to www.RemnantofGod.org/pogmchat.htm.

TO OUR SUPPORTERS: Please know that "Let There Be Light" Ministries is not using your support to build itself up into a kingdom, nor are we trying to acquire expensive video, TV or shortwave facilities.  But we are trying to spread the truth as quickly and economically as possible.  Please also know that you have played an important part in helping spread the Present Truth into various parts of this world, including through the printed page, through the living full-time workers and ministers we sponsor, and also through our Web Sites on the internet.  This is how the Loud Cry of the third angel will be spread, and is now being spread!  If the Lord impresses you to help in these endeavors, your donations and prayers will be greatly appreciated, and not just by this Ministry.  MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU!

MINISTRY NEEDS

"Let There Be Light" Ministries is committed to the spreading of the full present truth gospel message worldwide, and has been doing so since 1986.  This Ministry has operating expenses covering the areas of: printing, publishing, and writing of present truth books, booklets, tracts, and other literature; DVD, video and audio taping, production, and distribution; supporting several ministers and workers in foreign Countries; mail order – both domestic and foreign; traveling to hold meetings – both locally, nationally, and internationally; answering correspondence and questions regarding the message of truth; offering National and International Bible studies; sending free present truth literature to contacts in many poor Countries; etc.
Your gracious prayers and support is greatly appreciated and needed.  Without the Lord's guidance, blessings, and your support, this Ministry could not continue to reach out worldwide with the precious message of Revelation 14:6-12 & 18:1-5.

May our God and Saviour continue to lead and guide all those who have helped us reach souls who sit in darkness with the precious light of gospel truth.  May our supporters remember that they share in each and every soul who has been reached by this Ministry and converted to the Lord and His present truth!

GENERAL FOREIGN MISSION WORK NEEDS

We are currently supporting several workers in many different Countries on a monthly basis.  We check into the economy of each area and supply a base support which is adequate depending on their situation, but not extravagant.  This base support is to ensure that the monthly needs of each worker and family is met for that month so that the worker may devote full time to the ministry work.  In addition to this, we are sending extra materials for evangelism, and money for printing, publishing, holding meetings, traveling, and other necessary areas in spreading the Present Truth in their Country.  And as the work extends, especially will the expenses for evangelism expand.  Whatever you can send to help in this necessary and vital area is greatly appreciated.
The work of spreading God's present truth is not to be limited, but must extend world-wide to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people before our Saviour can come (Matthew 24:14).  What better way of spreading the Present Truth Gospel than by having workers who speak the native language, who reside in that particular Country, who can live and preach the truth, visit the interests in their homes, and spread the printed truth translated into their native language!
"Our publications should be printed in other languages, that foreign nations may be reached.  Much can be done through the medium of the press, but still more can be accomplished if the influence of the living preacher goes with our publications....The Lord has moved upon men of other tongues and has brought them under the influence of the truth, that they might be qualified to labor in His cause." Testimonies, vol 3, p 204-205.

Please financially help us to continue supporting our current ministers and workers on a consistent basis, so that the spreading of the truth will not be interrupted but can quickly lighten this dark world with the glory of God.

"Every opportunity should be improved to extend the truth to other nations.  This will be attended with considerable expense, but expense should in no case hinder the performance of this work.  Means are of value only as they are used to advance the interest of the kingdom of God.  The Lord has lent men means for this very purpose, to use in sending the truth to their fellow men."  Testimonies, vol 3, p 208.

LETTERS to "LET THERE BE LIGHT" Ministries

(Combination of 2 letters) Elder Robert Sessler,
Many Christian greetings from Tanzania. I take this moment to write an e-mail. I hoped to write about three weeks ago updating you on what was going on. Unfortunately, I had had a limited time even to eat. I have been too busy than I expected to.
Dear Sessler, sometimes I have been too busy working on the translations without knowing how these messages will go to all Tanzanians. In my last e-mail I told you that the sanitarium that has been established had opened the way for printing books/booklets. I told you that I could update you in a two weeks time. Unfortunately, I failed badly due to my hectic schedule. Sometimes, speaking is easier but when it comes to practice it is always the opposite. You told me not to overwork myself and I had followed that since I discovered that staying on a computer screen for many hours can cause pre-mature death.
Dear Sessler, when I read your newsletter, bi-monthly, I am moved as I see the work spreading in other countries. I requested some funds back in 2006 after translating for few months. The response was negative since there were no enough funds. You only advised me to print the manuscripts of which I did. These manuscripts were always photocopied and have brought in many souls. In 2007 I was doing the same work of translating and photocopying the manuscripts and giving them to people who in turn encouraged me to keep on. At last, there were many supporters of these messages where there was only one. From being alone in worship, we were 4 and today there are more than 20 every week in a place of ____.
Dear Sessler, in 2008 we went to the ____ part of Tanzania where we spent 2 weeks with good results – more than 20 souls who accepted these messages. I had printed about 20 copies for each title and when they were read they brought good results – some cursing us while others asking us why we did not come earlier. One business man volunteered to print 500 copies of the book: Abominations of Desolation. Although I did not tell you, when the work had begun, it was interfered since his business collapsed. Some told him that it was because he had believed these unpopular messages. He has continued to be our supporter with what he had. We never managed to produce 500 copies but we photocopied about 70 copies of the book and more than 100 copies for each title of the booklets. These messages are in circulation all over Tanzania and there are many souls in many places even where I have never gone.
In the beginning of July 2009, as a result of an Arab who was healed of cancer, he pledged to assist us in meeting our visions. I told you previously that God had brought in different talents especially in the sanitarium. Complicated diseases which modern hospitals have failed to handle were healed through simple remedies. I know some of you may not believe. But I have seen with my own eyes a cancer victim coming back to life, not to mention diabetes and HIV/AIDS. This man brought in many relatives from outside the country. He offered to order the publishing press worth Tshs 1.3 billion (US $ 1,000,000). I was called to ____ city (____). I went there in the beginning of July. To my surprise, I found that the publishing press is big and modern one for us. It needs a minimum of 20 working staff. Besides, it needs specialists in graphics and designing. Such a press, even the SDA Church in Tanzania does not have. After having a meeting with the people; I was advised to begin by bringing all books and booklets to be printed there and when I am used to running some of the things then they will order one for us in about a year from now. I had to get into another school of which I did not plan to attend in my life.
Dear Sessler, when typing all these booklets and books I did the job as a layman. When these individuals accepted to print these booklets/books; I was told to set margins, edit every booklet/books. I could not do that job for one day. I spent 4 days reading and setting margins. However, the job was too big for me. Reading more than 4000 pages and editing is not an easy task. I failed to finish in four days regardless of going to bed late and getting up early. I had to travel back to ____ and do it at home. I did for only a part. I had to travel back to ____ and submit what I had done. They helped me. I thought I could be through before July 20th. As of today only 23 booklets can be printed and the book Abomination of Desolations. They gave us the total costs which amounts Tshs 70,000,000/= (US $ 53,846.15). The work is not for one month, it will be a continuous one. Each title of the booklet 5,000 titles (copies) will be printed. The book Abomination of Desolation we will begin with 1000 copies. And we expect that if we can distribute all of them by November; we shall add 5000 copies by December. Apart from these booklets/books containing the Present Truth; we have also other extra 6 titles of the books to be printed. Do not wonder at the price. This is an offer. (Editor’s Note: May God be praised for His merciful kindness!)  The quality produced is excellent. Already they have printed each manuscript using their own printers. I have to go through and sign for the final copy. They burn the plates and print out of those. The plates will be kept at the press.
Dear Sessler, we always think of one way to get through but the Lord has a thousand ways. It came as a miracle. Nobody did it but God did it. I have read too much and overworked myself until I detected that a computer can kill you mercilessly. Even though I am tired, let us pray that the light will shine all over Tanzania when these books/booklets will be out of the place for the people to read. I am fully convinced beyond doubt that if these books come out of the place the kingdom of Satan will be shaken here in Tanzania. My dear I am very tired of editing and reading. I fell sick twice this month. The shoulders and neck are aching. We hope to get the first products next month (August). I have edited and read everything of what I have translated....
Next month (September 13, 2009) we shall begin a three week evangelistic campaigns to extend the Present Truth in the ____ parts of Tanzania. We hope to be moving there from next week – four of us. This will be the first large meeting to be conducted in open place (public). Pray for us....
More people have joined the movement through printed pages and still more orders are coming. The printing of books is going on and we hope to have the first stock in the Mid-
September, 2009.
Yours in the Blessed Hope, T.K., Tanzania.

Dear Elder,
     Heb. 6:10-11.
     Christian greetings from ____....
We have just ended a camp meeting in ____ with many blessings....
We reached a remarkable agreement that we must register as SDR church movement.  So we shall resume this process soon.
B.J., Uganda.

Hello and greetings Elder Robert,
I hope this finds you and the family well. We are fast heading on towards Spring, it is such a lovely time of year. It always reminds me of Baptism and the coming up from immersion, a new birth experience spiritually. Springs new birth of nature in the physical sense....
Your sister and friend, S.L., Australia.

Hi brother Bob,
This is brother ____, I attended the camp meeting in ____, Philippines last August 9-15,2009. I met brother ____ and ____ and his wife sister ____....
Brother Bob, I discovered that the name SDR is not being used here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, sad to say that there was an instance in ____, one of our province here that our brethren and sisters joined another home church which is a time setting home church there in their place because they believe that all home churches are the same. There was also an instance that when I gave a Bible study one Sabbath the brother and his family was not informed that we are a SDR and they were still expecting and believing that we are still an SDA.
I don't really understand why some of our ministering brethren here would not like to use it as our identity to distinguish us from other home churches to avoid confusion....
I am totally in favor of us having the name SDR to distinguish us from other home churches and to avoid our newly converted brethren and sisters from being confused. I know that this is still a part of the Gospel Order to hedge God's people from the outside....
God Bless. B.S., Philippines.

CORRESPONDENCE FROM FOREIGN WORKERS

FROM KENYA, EAST AFRICA

Dear Bro. Bob,
     1Jn 3:1.
Thanks for your constant touch with us. It is very encouraging. We are fine here with all the burden of the work. There are challenges however as the burden rests on fewer everyday. Even so others are embracing the message.
Bro. ____ is coming back. He called a few days ago, but am yet to meet him; may be in August with availability of funds.
The local centre for which money for a shade was sent managed to get a piece of land enough for a small house for worship, and it was thought wise to secure this, as worship in someone's house has proved inconveniencing....
We are still in need of outreach materials - tracts and booklets, especially in the new ____ field. God's abundant blessing, we all greatly appreciate donation toward printing these. At the same time, there is great need for a computer to help in the preparation for this printing to avoid the inconvenience of hiring for every small typesetting. I hope God will provide for every worthy cause.
B.I., Kenya.

FROM THE PHILIPPINES

(Combination of 2 letters) Dear Bro Bob,
     1 John 3:1.
Hi! We are doing fine here as we continue on serving the Lord and doing His work. We are having several schedules of Bible studies and church visitation. Last July 4 we held our ____ fellowship. And we were very happy to see once again all our brethren here in ____. After our fellowship, I had to visit the next Sabbath one of our home church here who was not able to attend to know the reason why they was not able to come. I'm glad to see them and to know that reason. Also, me and bro ____ are doing visitation and giving Bible studies to our nearby neighbor and also to other places here. We'd been sharing to a couple who are born again Christian but very interested about the Sabbath. They said that they are questioning their pastor about the Sabbath but they are not contented with the answer of their pastor. So we shared to them all the truth about the Sabbath. These people are very religious and honest people. We had regular schedule of Bible study with them now. Also, we'd been sharing and giving Bible studies to some young people and we're doing tracts distribution. We hope that God will bless and convict all these people to receive the truth and stand firm for it.
This coming Aug 9-15, our own present truth brethren under the Gospel Order in the whole ____ will be having a camp meeting which will be held in ____. Our brethren there told us that they invited our Filipino brethren in America to come and also Bro ____ and company. You know Bro Bob, we really wanted to attend there but its really hard fo us because the fare going there is so expensive. The support money that I received from you, I already used it for our missionary effort here, for helping those in need and some for personal expenses. Though there’s some amount left but it will not be enough for the fare going there. It will really be good if we can go there for the double purpose. First for helping our co-workers there in organizing the camp meeting, uniting with their efforts in establishing churches there and encouraging our brethren and also be encourage. And second, to visit this pastor of other group of church that you said and we will try with the help of other co workers to talk to him about the truth. We are praying that God will provide and help us our need in attending the camp meeting there. Please pray for us also....
We thank God that we arrived home safe from attending camp meeting in ____, in ____ Island. Though its really a long travel but we went home spiritually refreshed. We really tried our very best and really stretched our budget just to be able to get there. We all were satisfied especially when we saw our brethren there especially Bro ____. Its been 13 years ago after that we saw each other again. Its really a great experience and encouragement to see him and talk with him again after very long years. I'm happy and grateful that I saw him again. I will be very much happy if we will see you too Bro Bob. During one long week of being together, we discussed and tackled about Gospel Order and Unity. All of us help to present to the brethren the need of having Gospel Order and to reach the Unity that Christ is praying for His disciples. We also need to maintain the order and system that was maintain in the time of the disciples and was set forth in the New Testament order. There was also a time given to youth and family. We discuss and study some basic principles which will guide our youth and about family. At the end of the meeting, some decided to be baptized and re-baptized. May this new members continue to walk in the light of present truth and may we all be ready for the near appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Till here for now, Bro Bob. May God continue to bless each and every one of us and may God continue to guide us as we are engage in His work. Please extend our warmest greetings to all our brethren there. God bless!
In Christian love, s.b., Philippines.

FROM UGANDA, EAST AFRICA

Dear Elder Sessler.
Christian greetings from this way, in the saving name of our blessed Saviour even Christ. All things work for good to them who love the LORD. It is my earnest prayer that our heavenly Father restrains me from the spirit of complaining, but in things that I should learn to thank Him who endured all things, that is to say weariness, sorrow and want.  Our thorns are roses in comparison with the suffering of Christ. And those who are without help/assistance or relief, live under a burden of afflictions infinitely greater than mine.
I would have written way back, but the trials that God’s remnant are going through have been much. It is a month plus since I visited ____ Church only to find that due persistent spoiling of the place of worship by unknown persons.  Every morning they would find human refuse and urine, so they decided to stop fellowshipping (there).  I encouraged them to begin meeting in the homes, it may not be that simple having began in public place, (and now) to get down to their homes will take them time to gain momentum.
Br. ____ also has a home problem which may threaten the home church that side, we are set to still visit and counsel them.
Fanatical group which also have their meetings in homes, but with a rigid belief on (not) taking medicine, one of their members died because of negligence and not allowing any person whomsoever, be it a relative or close friend, it is only the members of that group who comes near. They have attitude problem of holier than thou.  This conduct is out of the common culture, (also) it was in the wee hours of the night that they brought dead body at around 3am in the night and dumped it at the door (of his relatives) and they drove off.  As the morning broke the home people were greeted with a casket!
Some (as) this strange happenings may be associated with small groups which may threaten the very existence of our fellowships, like the fanatical work of Dr. Eck during the reformation times. One of our ____ newspapers Bukedde Ssande, 2nd/08/2009, in the middle page carried another group who do not eat cooked food, no salt, no going to the hospital, no vaccination, no going to School, running during the night hours (and) all is claimed that it is the true teachings of Ellen G. White. The worst part of this group is stealing people’s food during night hours, the leaders of this group are by the names Matayo Kiggundu, at Nakaseke, the second is Kusasira Aaron at Entebbe he is said to be head leader.
Back to (discussing of the) work, brother ____ an elder of ____ SDA Church has promised to join us.  He has already than (done) so, by fellowshipping with us.  We have encouraged him to pick up the Christian guts and live for Christ and His glory alone.
We did a evangelical work at ____’s home.  The parents gave their lives to Jesus and promised to be faithful to Him as they await to born (join) in the Church, save ____ has been unstable. We did this with ____ who has been this side for almost month.  Even other souls have promised to join in fellowship.
I called ____, he hails from ____.  He told me he was doing translation on World Last Chance which is of the group which left us, and that he was remaining with three pages to go.
Lastly, thanks a lot for the support, though I have mounting problems, beyond the support, the Lord is still our refuge.  I have a double orphan who lost mother and father due Aids/H.I.V way back in the late 1980’s. He has finished Advanced level (of schooling, and is) set to go to the University (and) this requires over 1.5 million U.shs. for self-support scheme. We have stood with him since that time to date. If there would be a Good Samaritan, it will for of our joys and great relief (to receive their help).
I lost a maternal Uncle on 11th Aug, 2009. And was buried on the 12th Aug, 2009.
There is preparation for a camp meeting on 23rd Aug 2009. It will run for whole week....
We had planned a camp meeting which did not work out the way we thought it would, it was quickly sifted to another place.  First it was to be at ____ Home Church, (but) the host church excused itself, hence it was moved to ____. Members of this church said they wanted to have the blessing of meeting together at least once a year with brothers and sisters from this points of our nation.
But as for me I had malaria attack which delayed me to get to the Camp in time, but I thank God the camp was running smoothly.  Brothers of ____ and ____ Home Churchs were ministering (taking charge, and) as for ____ he did not appear, and ____ just appeared there on Saturday and left that same day, yet we had informed him of the meeting in morning.  Their care for this work is fast waning as if they have lost interest in the work.
For in this meeting we’re to meet and hear from different places (of) their challenges and several difficulties that the people of God are facing.  I pleaded with ____ to remain and stay over, instead he joined his worldly friend other than being with the people of God like our brother Moses Hebrews 11:24-26 “By faith Moses, when he become of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked for the reward.”...We stayed in an open place, a class without windows and make shift door is where (we) lodged.  It has been in accordance with commemoration of Israel in the wilderness.
His going dealt a big blow, because we had lots of things to share, the issue of the Godhead was again appearing, save the brethrens were firm to repulse it.  The issue of translation was tackled, where by three persons were chosen to make certain (the truth, and) we come out with clarity in the matter produced.  It was decide upon that we start with tracts, which we can easily produce with minimum funds, and later we shall tackle the booklets and God willing S.O.P. Brothers sighted some problems found while reaching out, i.e. brothers and sisters who have not been faithful in faith (and) the people (we) reached out (to) always point at them to excuse their responsibilities towards God; (the) Language problem which we shall tackle as we print out tracts; travel expenses and up-keep as we gather to reach out; for drought or climate change has caused famine in different places, hence prices for food stuffs have gone high and other expenses too.
We thank the good Lord that a lot of good report from those areas was also shared, (such as) a recent effort at ____ (where) the Lord brought 12 new souls, and at ____ new souls have been registered. And even in other places.
On the final day we had the Lord’s supper and it (was) good that we have in commemoration of our Lord’s death and resurrection and the promise (of) His return which we eagerly await.
I moved to ____ where by good grace I was able to share the Gospel with ____.  I told him of Jesus the Nazarene whom many think his looks were admirable (but) which prophecy clearly states there was no beauty of comeliness in him (in) Isaiah, (which states) that he is the Jesus of the Bible whom we worship and call our Redeemer.  He appreciated (what I said, and) I (also) counseled him (against) of taking opium and other destroying drugs (that) will hurt him (and that) God created him with a purpose of being a blessing to others. He gave his phone number. He talked (to) a lady who (then) attacked him (and) abused him, made him look so evil beyond the mercies of the Lord. We need to always pray that God gives us the best ways to approach souls for Christ Jesus.
Issue of land still stands, the time given expired (and thus) we are living on borrowed time.  We (ask) your humble input since we getting to Church capacity (and) we seriously need this land. Please come to the help of the Lord’s work.
We appreciate all your prayers, efforts and financial support given to uphold the work of Him who lives for ever and ever. God bless you and entire family of all His people across nations.
Yours in Christ Jesus, H.K., Uganda.

FROM ZAMBIA, CENTRAL AFRICA

Greetings to you in Jesus's name.
The great Lord is always good for us all.
The work in this country has reached at a time when many are ready to hear from our truths. Truly, the field is ready to be harvested. After visiting many of our new and old members in the new and old home churches last month in July, the good big week of gathering together for a camp meeting came from 09 to 16th Aug, 2009. If ever there was a year from the history of home churches in Zambia when the Lord has appeared to us openly, this year had great experiences....
It was almost very hard for the people to come to the camp, and the camp started on Monday the 10th Aug, 2009 in the evening.
On a Wednesday, a big fire came up at the camp almost wanting (to) sweep (away) all the structures.  We struggled by trying to put off the fires, (and) we praise the great Lord as He was in full control. We managed to put it off though after every item was removed from the rooms to safe places which was cleared. My daughter ____ was the one who drove the little car while I was away fighting the fire. It was an amazing thing that the Lord showed to us.
On Friday before the last Sabbath at the camp we received a message that sister ____ passed away in ____ 430km away from where we were camping, and that all the leaders were to travel for this funeral programme. We called them back and told them we were to start off after the Sabbath programmes, in the morning from 10hrs to 12hrs (as) I was give a time to conclude the camp programmes on this Sabbath. I praise the great Lord because He spoke through me and more than 20 people rose and gave their life to Jesus by starting a new life with Him. In the afternoon it was the last programme for baptism and we had more than 15 members who got baptized. The devil was again injured, what followed was that as the brethren where baptizing, a snake was in the very pool and only a child and I noticed it, and so I told the boy to keep silent (and) not to alarm the people but was just praying, till I saw the bunch of weeds where this snake was being taken by current of water (away) from this pool.
Later in the evening 6 of us leaders got into a 5 seater car and left for the funeral and arrived around 04hrs in the morning of Sunday. There we found the SDAs ready to take up the programme since the father to the late (sister) is an elder there and the mother is our strong member together with the late. There was again a little struggle till we were given the first chance to take all the preaching programmes.
The great Lord again spoke through me, and the following day after burial we where called to assemble not knowing what agenda some of the family members had. The meeting started with strong questions to us to explain what home church was. The situation was very hard, (accusing us) that we had brought confusion in this family because these old parents where in separate groups.  A man who was a br. to this mother was so bad in the discussion and stood up to chase us, and went (to) his van to pick up a pistol and threatened to shoot us, and so many joined him saying we should stop preaching to this family and going there, and threatened to check with the Ministry of Home Affairs if our church was registered or not.  Many things came up, but the great Lord protected us and so we drove off the place. They told this mother and all family members who had joined our church to stop attending services and go back to SDA.
(But) Praise God, yesternight I received this very mother at our house and she had a night with us as she has traveled to ____ district for another funeral. Please pray for this mother.  She told me last night that she had her Sabbath worship in a craw of cattle. And she also said the husband told her that she must continue with us again, but she what him to put it in writing as the man is good and (at) changing (his) statements.
Brethren, when I write you like this I do this with great tears in my eyes because it really happened. This is why we are saying kindly help us with all the requested means so that we can get our certificate as soon as possible so that we do the work in (proper) order while time allows. When I see the condition of my family, again (I) am given another hard picture to whether I am working for the church or for God as we are soon to leave the house (as) the owner will put it (out to the public) on rent. We do not have money to rent. The land (we already have) is ready for building, but no means. Please brethren across (the world, hear and accept) this message (and) help me to be settled (with enough means) for me to do my mission work in a peaceful way.
I will wait for the Lord to help, and please the good Lord has given us a big field to labour in, but means of movements are becoming hard again due to use of public and small car transports....
God be with (you) till I hear from you again....

FROM ZIMBABWE, SOUTH AFRICA

Greetings.
I have experienced a technical problem with my (computer) machine since I last sent to you my report as the mass storage device I used has introduced a certain virus which has disturbed the proper working of my computer. At the same time, even though I have managed to service the machine, I have also accidentally lost that device. Therefore, I am no longer able to send in my report this month as I shall be working to find another one. However, I have in the mean time translated an additional 5 tracts, which means by the end of September I might be sending a total of 10 fully translated tracts. I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused....
I am very much pleased to hear that you received all my translated tracts and my reports squarely well. My spirit is now consoled. May God who abounds in all spiritual riches bless you according to His will. Thank you for a quick response.
Your brother in Christ.  B.K., Zimbabwe.
