CATHOLIC ADVENTISTS?

As unbelievable as this may sound, it is becoming very obvious that SDA people and churches are becoming Catholic! Seventh-day Adventists are not only being conditioned to accept Catholic thought and beliefs, but are even being openly told that they are Catholics!

In the Spring of 1992, members of the Smithers SDA church in British Columbia, Canada, were engaged in a question and answer period with their Conference president Ron Watts. During this period Harry Kurulak quoted two Spirit of Prophecy testimonies warning against Catholicism. Harry relates what Conference president Ron Watts stated in response:

"He attacked me by saying I was treading on very dangerous ground to go against the Catholic Church or its system.

"He told us the word Catholic means universal, and then told us he was also a Roman Catholic and that we all are Catholic." Signed Statement by Harry Kurulak and Curtis Kurulak.

This is not only happening in Canada, but especially in the United States. On Sabbath, November 9, 1991, in the LaGrange SDA church in Georgia, pastor Gale Gabbert stated during his sermon:

"But just think: if you were a Catholic, what time does Mass begin? What? 6:00 a.m. And Catholic means universal. So you really are a Catholic--Adventist Catholic, a Roman Catholic..." Transcript of Taped Sermon by SDA pastor Gale Gabbert, November 9, 1991, p 1.

Not only are SDA members being told that they are really Catholic, but the SDA church itself is being called Catholic as well! In 1981 then President of the General Conference, Neal C. Wilson, stated:

"There is another universal and truly catholic organization, the Seventh-day Adventist Church." Adventist Review, March 5, 1981, p 3.

But this great change of the SDA church to image the Roman Catholic church should not be a great surprise, because we have already been warned of this very thing occurring!

Sister Ellen White warned that the General Conference leadership were "pursuing a similar course to that of the Roman Catholics" (Manuscript Releases, vol 9, p 179--Letter 53, 1894); that they were trying to make the General Conference "like Rome, the great head of the work" (Manuscript Release #133, p 27--Letter 71, April 8, 1894); and that they were already "following in the track of Romanism" (Testimonies to Ministers, p 362).

Not only was Sister White sounding the warning, but so did other faithful brethren--such as Percy T. Magan. During the General Conference Session of 1903, before the new constitution was officially adopted, brother Magan obtained the floor and warned:

"The proposed new constitution reverses the reformatory steps that were taken...in the constitution of 1901....but I want to say to you that any man who has ever read Neander's History of the Christian Church, Mosheim's, or any other of the great church historians...can come to no other conclusion but that the principles which are to be brought in through this proposed constitution, and in the way in which they are brought in, are the same principles, and introduced in precisely the same way, as they were hundreds of years ago when the papacy was made." 1903 General Conference Bulletin, p 150.

For those who find this a little hard to believe, Sister White clearly wrote that "Our religion would be changed....A new organization would be established" (Selected Messages, book 1, p 204-05). She also issued a warning to every SDA about the great changes that would take place in the SDA church.

"I am charged to tell our people, that do not realize, that the devil has device after device, and he carries them out in ways that they do not expect. Satan's agencies will invent ways to make sinners out of saints.

"I tell you now, that when I am laid to rest, great changes will take place.

"I do not know when I shall be taken; and I desire to warn all against the devices of the devil.

"I want the people to know that I warned them fully before my death." Last Day Events from the Letters and Manuscripts of E.G. White, p 60 (Manuscript 1, February 24, 1915).

Have these "great changes" taken place yet? Has this "new organization" already been established? Most definitely!

In order for the SDA church to catholicize our people, they must adopt the same type of Catholic church organization--or a hierarchy. Has the SDA church adopted this Catholic hierarchy or "new organization" of apostasy? We will let the leaders of the SDA church themselves answer this question so that there will be no possible doubt.

"The Seventh-day Adventist Church is essentially a hierarchical system..." Record, June 23, 1990, p 2.

"The session [55th General Conference Session in 1990] has demonstrated the hierarchial nature of the church's administrative structure." Record, August 4, 1990, p 2.

"Others have so identified structure with policy and the official hierarchy of the church that change is often viewed as unfaithfulness." Adventist Review, Special Edition, October, 1994, p 51.

And Walter Scragg, president of the SDA South Pacific Division, admitted:

"...the structure of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is essentially hierarchical...The pyramid of church organization maintains equilibrium and sustains growth as it reflects the people who comprise it." Record, June 23, 1990, p 4-5.

But not only did the leadership admit that the SDA church structure is definitely hierarchical, but they also finally admitted that it resembles Roman Catholicism!

Douglas Devnich, president of the SDA Canadian Union, stated:

"The Seventh-day Adventist Church follows a model of organizational order in the church which is modified from the orders of Roman Catholicism, but it retains the same notions of clerical order which separates the members of the Church into two classes--clergy and laity." Messenger, December, 1993, p 2.

But how could such a specious apostasy and departure from God be allowed to take place in a church which was one of the greatest "protesters" against Catholicism and the man of sin?

"Although it is true that there was a period in the life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church when the denomination took a distinctly anti-Roman Catholic viewpoint, and the term `hierarchy' was used in a pejorative sense to refer to the papal form of church governance, that attitude on the church's part was nothing more than a manifestation of widespread anti-popery among conservative Protestant denominations in the early part of this century and the latter part of the last, and which has now been consigned to the historical trash heap so far as the Seventh-day Adventist Church is concerned." Equal Employment Opportunity Commission vs Pacific Press Publishing Association and General Conference of SDA, Civil Case #74-2025 CBR (1975), Reply Brief for Defendants, p 4.

Has the SDA religion been changed since 1915? Very definitely! Every major principle of truth contained in the three angel's messages of Revelation 14 and 18 have been changed by the SDA church! For proof of this amazing fact, please read the booklet Transmutation of the Three Angels. Or for a more in-depth study examining the history of the SDA church from its inception to the present day, including Spirit of Prophecy warnings of what the church was doing and would continue to do, please read the book The Abomination of Desolation and Church History: Second Edition.

This changing of the SDA church system into another "catholic organization" and its membership into "Catholic Adventists" has been going on, slowly but surely, for decades. And it is now to the point that even Catholic priests recognize the similarities!

On September 14, 1996, "father" Benedict O'Cinnsealeigh presented a talk on Sabbath morning to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kettering, Ohio. His talked centered on and was titled "The Similarities of Adventism and Catholicism."

Not only do Catholic priests recognize that the SDA church is "another universal and truly catholic organization" but so do the people of the world!

Judge William T. Hart handed down a decision against Derrick Proctor and in favor of the SDA church. He stated:

"Church documents that prescribe the church's structure and governance confirm that all parts of the church are parts of a single entity. Next to the Roman Catholic church, the Adventist church is the most centralized of all the major Christian denominations in this country." Derrick Proctor vs General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, case #81 C 4938, Findings of Fact, Section B, Church Objectives and Structures, p 22.

In fact, this Ministry has compared the Roman Catholic Church with the Seventh-day Adventist church and has found 40 major similarities, which were published in the booklet Image of the Beast. Also, in a joint effort with Presents of God Ministry, we produced a DVD showing 10 of the most claring similarities entitled Roman-SDA. (Note: both the booklet as well as the DVD are still available from this Minstry). Truly, "as is the mother, so is her daughter" (Ezekiel 16:44).

The Seventh-day Adventist church is no longer the same church that it was raised up to be. It has been taken over and changed into an image of the Roman Catholic Church--in fact the closest image of this beast of any church in America! And God, ever merciful to His people, has already revealed this astounding possibility over 100 years ago! Please read this amazing vision in Testimonies, vol 1, p 578.

If the SDA church members cannot realize that their beloved SDA church is no longer the true church of God in any way or sense, but has become an image of the Catholic church, and if they don't do all they can to distance themselves from this corrupt apostate church, then they will be lost within the church they love and worship more than following the will of God!

As every Catholic owes their spiritual allegiance to the Vatican and the Pope and not to Christ--by virtue of the fact that they belong to the Catholic church as members; and since the SDA church has been formed into "another universal and truly catholic organization," then every member of the SDA church owes their spiritual allegiance to the General Conference and not to Christ--by virtue of their continued membership in the church! You say "impossible." Yet read closely what your SDA church and General Conference leadership states under oath:

"The General Conference, then is the Seventh-day Adventist church....the embodiment of the remnant church as a Christian denomination, in a unified worldwide organization, to which all baptized Seventh-day Adventists owe spiritual allegiance." EEOC vs PPPA, Civil Case #74-2025 CBR, p 17, Opening Brief.

Why can't our people realize that their beloved SDA church is no longer the church God raised up and established in the beginning? Why can't our people realize that their SDA church has apostatized and is working against God and the kingdom of heaven? Why can't they realize that the leaders of their church have shut God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit out of the entire church (see Testimonies, vol 8, p 250; Battle Creek Letters, p 55-56)! And why can't they realize that the church is just another deceptive Catholic system with the name Seventh-day Adventist on it?

The third angel's message warns ALL people on the earth--including SDA's--not to be connected with the Roman Catholic church or any image of this beast, or they will "drink of the wine of the wrath of God," being a "partaker of her sins," and receive "of her plagues" (Revelation 14:9-11, 18:4). And if any church members, especially SDA's, believe that they can remain connected to and part of their apostate church and yet still make it to heaven, they will find themselves suffering the plagues of the wrath of God, and thus wake up when it is too late for salvation! Why? Because God will never take to heaven those who rebel against His will because they stayed connected with sin--whether personal or corporate!

Any who refuse to disconnect themselves completely from any Romanist church, whether the beast itself or one of its images--including the SDA church--will fall with their harlot church into the lake which burns with fire and brimstone suffering the second death! While any who choose to separate from their harlot Romanist church will be gathered into the loving arms of Jesus who waits outside and calls His own sheep to Him (see Hebrews 13:12-13; John 10:4-5; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Isaiah 52:11).

"The first, second, and third angel's messages are to be repeated. The call is to be given to the church: `Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird....come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.'" Review and Herald, October 31, 1899 (vol 4, p 109, col 3).

There are only two paths to choose from: the path of compromise and death with the apostate church, or the path of the cross of separation and eternal life with Christ.

The choice is up to you and you only.

The Lord is continuing to bless our TrueChurchofGod.info Web Site. In the month of January we had 7,511 hits, which were generated by 1,529 visitors. In these Visitor Sessions, 5,060 documents of Present Truth were viewed, and 288,729,000 bits of information were downloaded.

In the month of February we had 5,918 hits, which were generated by 1,276 visitors. In these Visitor Sessions, 3,717 documents of Present Truth were viewed, and 173,680,000 bits of information were downloaded!

So for these 2 months, over 462 million bits of information were downloaded from our Gospel Truth Web Site by over 2,800 visitors!

The Lord is also abundantly blessing our LightMinistries.com Web Site! In the month of January we had 123,684 hits, which were generated by 25,867 visitors. In these Visitor Sessions, 58,918 documents of Present Truth were viewed, and over 11.3 billion bits of information were downloaded.

In the month of February we had 107,298 hits, which were generated by 22,248 visitors. In these Visitor Sessions, 48,211 documents of Present Truth were viewed, and over 7.7 billion bits of information were downloaded!

So for these 2 months alone, over 19 billion bits of information were downloaded from our Present Truth Web Site by over 48,000 visitors! PRAISE GOD'S HOLY NAME!

We are currently supporting several workers in many different Countries on a monthly basis. We check into the economy of each area and supply a base support which is adequate depending on their situation, but not extravagant. This base support is to ensure that the monthly needs of each worker and family is met for that month so that the worker may devote full time to the ministry work. In addition to this, we are sending extra materials for evangelism, and money for printing, publishing, holding meetings, traveling, and other necessary areas in spreading the Present Truth in their Country. And as the work extends, especially will the expenses for evangelism expand. Whatever you can send to help in this necessary and vital area is greatly appreciated.

The work of spreading God's present truth is not to be limited, but must extend world-wide to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people before our Saviour can come (Matthew 24:14). What better way of spreading the present truth gospel than by having workers who speak the native language, who reside in that particular Country, who can live and preach the truth, visit the interests in their homes, and spread the printed truth translated into their common language!

"Our publications should be printed in other languages, that foreign nations may be reached. Much can be done through the medium of the press, but still more can be accomplished if the influence of the living preacher goes with our publications....The Lord has moved upon men of other tongues and has brought them under the influence of the truth, that they might be qualified to labor in His cause." May I greet you once again in His wonderful name and may His peace, love and joy be with you always. Greeting to a New Year, and praise God for the life He has given us so that we can begin another year, and who knows what this year is going to bring us?...Should we join Isaiah 40:31?

I thank you for the LAWS RESTORE HEALTH Newsletter. This is one thing that I know that I am always lack of. Me and my family are enjoying it now.

Two souls have been baptized. They are husband and wife, they were joining ____ Bible Study group. I thank the Lord almighty! Now that this translated booklet of the "Latter Rain" is been moving the hearts of the people when they read it. ____ has taken about more than 80 copies to where he is teaching since school is starting again. People are desperate to know about the Truth. I have been distributing booklets and tracts (as well). Fiji is a Christian country but what they really need is the Present Truth and that's what this Ministry is providing.

It's been 1 year now since my husband has left us, but I thank the Lord for the Truth He has taught us so that we still can carry on. We are witnessing here in Fiji that every thing what the Bible has predicted is happening. Prophecy and events are happening, time is short.

We keep praising the Lord for giving us strength to be able to do His will here on earth. So brother we do need your prayers and words of encouragement.

I thank you once again for the supports and prayers. May the Lord continue to bless you and the Ministries.

I thank God very much once more in giving us this opportunity to continue doing His work even though under tough circumstances. Our country now is under a problem since election that so many things are at stand still. Most of the people are staying in their home areas not able to travel to other tribes because of tribal crisis. Due to that even the prices of things have gone so high so that I can not estimate what you asked me about the prices of the Bibles and Spirit of Prophecy. But soonest I will give you the answer.

The work here is very hard, but the workers are still working in their home areas. We always communicate through phones how the work is going on in their home churches. We are praying that God may bring His own peace that the work will continue, but if it is His will that the state of things be so, may His will be done.

Pray for us and the work here as we pray for you and the work over there.

Greetings in the dear name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It has been quite a long time since I wrote last. This has been occasioned by restricting circumstances that have seen me out of town that long.

Last year as we were coming to the end, we had an enriching camp meeting based on the righteousness of Christ in the light of present truth as we see signs fulfilling all around us. We had good planning meeting thereafter whereby we considered coming calls. We planed to attend to two coming from Tanzania, one from ____ and another from ____, among others. Two groups were selected where ____ and myself would go to ____ while brothers ____ and ____ would go to ____.

However we have a serious political crisis in the country since the announcement of election results whose tallying has been highly questionable. The damage that been done will take years (if the Lord will grant!) to heal. Travelling from one end of our country to the next, especially inter-province, is highly risky. We are praying that God will intervene to have calm once again. Our foreign mission is scheduled for February 10....We hope calm will return soon to have some luggages held at port.

FROM THE PHILIPPINES

Hi! I hope and pray that you are doing well and in great physical and spiritual condition in the hands of God. I am so sorry that I wasn't able to read and answer your letter as soon as possible because I became so busy for the past month because of my work here and the preparation for the ____ camp meeting. I just came back from there and I just open my e-mail today. I will canvass today of the price of the Bible and SOP books and I will inform you immediately about it.

Anyway, about the camp meeting in ____; its really been a great success through the help and blessings of God. I've met again those brethren whom I've never seen for a very long time because of the separation with Grover's group. All the ____ brethren sided with Grover before, but now God lightened up some of them and they now realized that the position of Grover is really error and deception. We are so very happy to see each other again and to know that we stand (on) the same position and truth, especially those workers who stand with Grover before. These workers are now exposing the false teachings of Grover (especially about disfellowshipping a member without using the Bible rule in Matt 18 and [his teaching that its alright to have a diet today of] flesh eating) and they are laboring (with) those members who were deceived by him.

There are less than 200 person who attended the camp meeting. There are many visitors, both SDA's and non-SDA's who attended the camp meeting. They came from different cities in ____. We focus our studies on the pillars of doctrine. Every afternoon after the study, we gave time for the Question and Answer and many asked questions. During the last day of the camp meeting, 16 souls decided to received Christ and be baptized. Let us pray that these souls will continue to walk in the Lord and in the truth.

We also held a workers meeting there and we tackle some issues and doctrine, and all ends well. Thank God! (Editor's note: Amen, praise God!)

I also met in the camp meeting our Filipino brethren who live there in America, brother ____ and his family. He also gave a studies on Babylon and about health. Our co-worker and some brethren from ____ were also there. It is really a blessed week. I am very happy that we've met and seen each other again and that God united us again in truth.

Bro Bob, our next camp meeting will be held here in ____ which will be in ____ or ____. We scheduled it for the benefit of our brethren here in ____ who are not capable to attend the camp meeting in ____ and ____. But I have also invited our brethren and worker in ____ and ____ to attend here to meet our brethren here. And I am also inviting you and our brethren in America to please join us in this convocation. It will be a great encouragement and blessing to see and hear you.

Greetings from this side. Got some nasty attack by jiggers at the camp grounds. Gave some restless nights until they were plucked out. In all we thank heaven for allowing such experience, for the common people (in the) area can now be helped to overcome the backward infection. I'm getting better, save the wounds are still healing....

Thanks for your letter. I would have answered back, save I suffered poison attack. Some one poisoned my food, reasons are hard to tell, but as you warned to take care while in Zambia those words still ring in mind. I suffered by next day, wounds were in my mouth and stomach disturbance, I could hardly breathe. Thanks be to God that I'm alive today, with pressure of 130/100, the lower is high, should have been because of that saga. Pray for me and I feel weak (and) dizzy. FROM ZAMBIA, CENTRAL AFRICA

Greetings to you in Jesus name.

I praise the name of Jesus for the love that He has shown to me at the beginning of this year. Especially that He has served my life. Again I have decided to add the other knowledge I have acquired after some researches on Herbology and nutrition and diseases. Thank you Lord (as I) am a Certified Nutritionist and was awarded a diploma in this.

Br. Bob, I have come up with a medical missionary programme. I went to the office of the District Director of Health under Ministry of Health to seek permission to allow me to go around their clinics and hospitals to meet the patients, especially the affected ones by HIV and AIDS; to give them lessons on diet or nutrition and the trust in God. The District Director is happy with this programme and he wants me to start it as soon as possible.

But he asked me to tell you so that you can write me an introductory letter to tell them who I am...and what I will offer to the patients.

As said, am ready to teach them on "THE EIGHT LAWS OF HEALTH, ESPECIALLY ON NUTRITION, TRUSTING IN GOD AND HIS COMMANDMENTS AND SIMPLE GARDENING." I am told to target at about 2000+ people, and of whom 1500 are vulnerable children and adults. This programme will be done freely as the Lord provides energy and time, as I told them am always busy within and outside the country. Right now I have already been booked for the whole month of Aug. in Namibia.

Br. bob I thought through this programme. I will reach many people and spread the message. Below is the address for the Director. Please kindly write him directly and drop a copy in my e-mail....Besides am bound to be correct if this programme may not be in accordance with the gospel work (as it definitely is).

FROM ZIMBABWE, AFRICA

It's a warm welcome into this new year and I am happy to give you an update of the work here in Zimbabwe. This year is "full of marrow and fatness" as so many goals are targeted to be fulfilled and as such I am so full of activity to an extent that I hardly had one Sabbath to attend to my family. Soon after my return journey from a missionary tour in Namibia I had received a call from a family in the capital who had lately separated from the SDA and wanted to be helped....

I set to traverse a 20 km road on foot to attend to these brethren only to fail to reach them due to much rains, as all the rivers were full of water. However, that same Friday night I had the privilege to be with one family which I am studying with the truth for this time, and I am pleased that at least I managed to lay an anchoring wedge in their hearts in the message for this time. The week that followed, I then went to meet that family in ____. It was our first time to meet and at least I needed to be acquainted with them, so I had not much to present to them and I did much of listening to what they believe and truly speaking, they embraced the separation message in that they believe that the SDA and the Reform Movement are both part of Babylon fallen. It is a family of 6 members which joined the Reform Movement since 1958, though they had went back to the SDA. But to my surprise, they hold also to some various fanatical doctrines...(which I will have to endeavor to correct). My brother, I saw as never before how great a work is to be done, and feel I need help in the form of prayers to undo all these (fanatical) ideas. Currently we have set the 1st week of February as a date to address some of these doctrines and shall be accompanied by Elder ____.

Finally, by the end of this month, I then managed to reach those brethren in ____, though I had to use the farthest way and I had to walk for over 40km on foot. I praise the name of the Lord that I found them still holding onto the truth.

Thanks so much that you sent me those tracts which I most needed to progress with the work of translation and I promise if the Lord opens the way to get enough means I shall be sending them to you soon. Thanks also with the information concerning Bibles and SOPs. Hope to furnish you with the information as to their costs soon.
