Many of our dear brothers and sisters have been taught that they must continue to cling to the name “Seventh-day Adventist” after they have chosen to completely disconnect themselves from the SDA church denomination. Even though Bible and Spirit of Prophecy evidence has already been given in our last Newsletter (July-September) showing that we are in a new Movement, that it is God’s will for His people to distinguish themselves in name from past churches of apostasy, and that God will call His servants today by a different name, yet many may still be confused. It is for their sakes that we will now address some of the major objections raised against calling ourselves “Seventh-day Remnant” instead of “Seventh-day Adventist”.

The first major objection to calling ourselves by a different name other than “Seventh-day Adventist” is because many have been taught that the name “Seventh-day Adventist” appears on the banner of God which He commands is to be lifted up and borne before the unbelieving world till the end.

“The banner of the third angel has inscribed upon it, ‘The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’ Our institutions have taken a name which sets forth the character of our faith, and of this name we are never to be ashamed. I have been shown that this name means much, and in adopting it we have followed the light given us from heaven...The Sabbath is God's memorial of His creative work, and it is a sign that is to be kept before the world.

“There is to be no compromise with those who are worshiping an idol sabbath. We are not to spend our time in controversy with those who know the truth, and upon whom the light of truth has been shining, when they turn away their ear from the truth to turn to fables. I was told that men will employ every policy to make less prominent the difference between the faith of Seventh-day Adventists and those who observe the first day of the week. In this controversy the whole world will be engaged, and the time is short. This is no time to haul down our colors.

“A company was presented before me under the name of Seventh-day Adventists, who were advising that the banner or sign which makes us a distinctive people should not be held out so strikingly; for they claimed it was not the best policy in securing success to our institutions. This distinctive banner is to be borne through the world to the close of probation. In describing the remnant people of God, John says, ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus’ (Rev. 14:12). This is the law and the gospel. The world and the churches are uniting in harmony in transgressing the law of God, in tearing away God's memorial, and in exalting a sabbath that bears the signature of the man of sin. But the Sabbath of the Lord thy God is to be a sign to show the difference between the obedient and the disobedient. I saw some reaching out their hands to remove the banner, and to obscure its significance....

“When the people accept and exalt a spurious sabbath, and turn souls away from obedience and loyalty to God, they will reach the point that was reached by the people in the days of Christ....Shall anyone then choose to hide his banner, to relax his devotion? Shall the people whom God has honored and blessed and prospered, refuse to bear testimony in behalf of God's memorial at the very time when such a testimony should be borne? Shall not the commandments of God be more highly esteemed when men pour contempt upon the law of God?--Manuscript 15, 1896.”

Many individuals believe that in this testimony Ellen White was warning us to beware of giving up the name “Seventh-day Adventist”. That the name “Seventh-day Adventist” is written on a sign or banner that God commands to be kept before the unbelieving world to the end. That some would seek to hide and lower this banner, haul down their colors, relax their devotion, no longer bear testimony about God’s Sabbath to an unbelieving world; and all because they refused to identify themselves as “Seventh-day Adventist”.

But when one closely examines this testimony, not a single one of these beliefs are clearly advocated! In fact, not a single one of these beliefs can be found clearly taught anywhere throughout the entire Spirit of Prophecy writings!

In forming a belief, we must gather and examine all the inspired statements of truth on any particular subject BEFORE we make our decision, take our stand upon, and advocate this belief to others. In examining all that God has to say on any subject, we will be able to see the complete picture of truth, make a clear decision, and then take a solid stand upon and advocate this belief to others. But if we try to do this with just one or two unclear or uninspired statements, then we are wide open to taking an extreme position and deviating from solid truth. This we must avoid at all costs, especially because we do not want to bring reproach upon God’s cause, nor lead anyone astray!

So let us follow this safe advice and examine exactly what the Spirit of Prophecy has to say about this banner of God. Is the name “Seventh-day Adventist” really written on this banner which God commands us to bear throughout all the unbelieving world till the end?

“The banner of the third angel has inscribed upon it, ‘The commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’” Manuscript Releases, vol 13, p 68 (also Selected Messages, book 2, p 384; book 3, p 42; Testimonies, vol 5, p 501; Youth’s Instructor, August 3, 1887; Manuscript Releases, vol 9, p 133).

“...the banner on which are written the words: ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they which keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’ Revelation 14:12.” Testimonies, vol 8, p 153-154 (also Counsels to Writers and Editors, p 102).

“...a banner on which is inscribed the words ‘The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’ ‘Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’” Manuscript Releases, vol 4, p 246 (Letter 95, March 14, 1905).

So this banner of God has the following words inscribed upon it: “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they which keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” Revelation 14:12. “Which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Revelation 12:17. “Purity and holiness unto the Lord” 1 Timothy 4:12; Exodus 28:36; 2 Corinthians 7:1. And the precious name of “Christ.” No where are the words “Seventh-day Adventist” to be found written on this banner. But this is not all to this subject.

“A large company of heathen idolaters bore a black banner, upon which were figures of the sun, moon, and stars. This company seemed to be very fierce and angry. I was then shown another company bearing a pure white banner...” Early Writings, p 211.

“Satan has called this world his territory. Here his seat is, and he holds in allegiance to himself all who refuse to keep God’s commandments, who reject a plain, ‘Thus saith the Lord.’ They stand under the enemy’s banner; for there are but two parties in the world. All rank either under the banner of obedience or under the banner of the disobedient.” Bible Commentary, vol 5, p 1119.

“Everywhere the people are taking sides; all are ranging themselves either under the banner of truth and righteousness or under the banner of the apostate powers that are contending for the supremacy. At this time God’s message to the world is to be given with such prominence and power that the people will be brought face to face, mind to mind, heart to heart, with truth.” Testimonies, vol 7, p 150-151.

This banner of Jesus Christ–the Prince of light, is pure white, is blood-stained, and is a banner of obedience, of truth, and of righteousness. Thus this banner is a symbol representing our stand for God, Jesus Christ, purity, righteousness, our obedience to God’s commandments and His truth–especially in keeping His Sabbath day holy!

So all of God’s true people are commanded to enlist “under the banner of the Prince of Light”, and not under the literal name of “Seventh-day Adventist”. They are commanded to stand under the “blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel”, and not under the literal name of “Seventh-day Adventist”. They are commanded to stand under the “banner of obedience”, the “banner of truth and righteousness”, and not under the literal name of “Seventh-day Adventist.”

To further substantiate this fact, God did not give this banner into the hands of the SDA people after they chose the name “Seventh-day Adventist” in the 1860's, but He gave this banner to them many years before they chose this name!

“The passing of the time in 1844 was a period of great events, opening to our astonished eyes the cleansing of the sanctuary transpiring in heaven, and having decided relation to God's people upon the earth, [also] the first and second angels' messages and the third, unfurling the banner on which was inscribed, ‘The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’ One of the landmarks under this message was the temple of God, seen by His truth-loving people in heaven, and the ark containing the law of God. The light of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment flashed its strong rays in the pathway of the transgressors of God's law. The nonimmortality of the wicked is an old landmark. I can call to mind nothing more that can come under the head of the old landmarks.” Counsels to Writers and Editors, p 30-31.

So this banner of God’s truth was already in existence by the year 1844! Thus some 16 years before the literal name of “Seventh-day Adventist” was thought of and then chosen by our people, this banner of God was in existence and was already afloat before the unbelieving world!

This clearly reveals to all who desire to see that the literal name “Seventh-day Adventist” figures nowhere in the subject of God’s people taking His banner and bearing it before the unbelieving world to the end. And those who continue to believe or advocate such an extreme idea are but misinterpreting and twisting inspiration to teach what it does not.

Dear ones, I hope you can clearly see that this banner represents our message of present truth, and not the literal name of a people or of a church who follow this truth–even if they consider themselves to be the true “Seventh-day Adventist” people of God!

“A banner has been placed in our hands, upon which is inscribed, ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they which keep the commandments of God, and have the faith of Jesus.’ This is a distinct, separating message, a message that is to give no uncertain sound.” Counsels to Writers and Editors, p 102.

So with this clear definition, that God’s banner has written upon it our distinctive separating message of Revelation 14 and 18–especially the Sabbath of God, let us re-read an important paragraph from the opening testimony and apply this correct understanding to it.

“A company was presented before me under the name of Seventh-day Adventists, who were advising that the banner or sign (our present truth message–especially the Sabbath) which makes us a distinctive people should not be held out so strikingly; for they claimed it was not the best policy in securing success to our institutions. This distinctive banner (our present truth message–especially the Sabbath) is to be borne through the world to the close of probation. In describing the remnant people of God, John says, ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus’ [Rev. 14:12]. This is the law and the gospel. The world and the churches are uniting in harmony in transgressing the law of God, in tearing away God's memorial, and in exalting a sabbath that bears the signature of the man of sin. But the Sabbath of the Lord thy God is to be a sign to show the difference between the obedient and the disobedient. I saw some reaching out their hands to remove the banner (our present truth message–especially the Sabbath), and to obscure its significance.”

It is this banner–the banner bearing God’s message of present truth, especially the Sabbath, which was given into the hands of Seventh-day Adventists to bear to the world, and not that Seventh-day Adventists were to bear their own church name to the world as this banner. Please understand this difference.

“I saw you holding up the banner on which are written the words: ‘Here is the patience of the saints: here are they which keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’ Revelation 14:12. Several men, some of them those with whom you are connected in the Sanatarium, were presenting to you a banner on which was a different inscription. You were letting go the banner of Seventh-day Adventists, and were reaching out to grasp the banner presented to you....

“I was instructed that you and your fellow laborers were in danger of hiding the principles of our faith in order to obtain large patronage. Every jot done in this line, instead of extending the influence of truth, will hinder its advance.” Testimonies, vol 8, p 153-154.

“Those who act as managers and overseers in our sanitariums are not to make the world's policy their criterion; for the sign of God, as defined in Exodus 31:12-17, is to be revealed in all its comprehensive meaning. The proper observance of the Sabbath day by all connected with our sanitariums will exert an untold influence for good. Every medical institution established by Seventh-day Adventists is to bear God's sign before the world prominently, without disguising the facts in any way. We are to voice the message of the third angel flying in the midst of heaven with the everlasting gospel to proclaim to the world. We are to bear aloft the banner on which is inscribed, ‘The Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’” Medical Ministry, p 164.

So the banner given into the hands of Seventh-day Adventists to bear to the world, is not their own church name, but it is the principles of truth contained in God’s inspired word–especially the Sabbath. The individual mentioned was letting go of the banner containing the messages of truth, and not letting go of the name “Seventh-day Adventist”. It was also the proper observance of God’s sign–the Sabbath day--by all connected with the sanitariums, that would exert untold influence for good, and not the fact that all the patients were told over and over again that the name of the sanitarium was “Seventh-day Adventist”.

Thus if we should not identify ourselves as “Seventh-day Adventist” today, we would not be lowering the banner of God into the dust, because this literal name is nowhere to be found written on this banner. “We are to bear aloft the banner on which is inscribed, ‘The Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus’”, not “The Seventh-day Adventist” name! But if we should rebel and refuse to stand for God’s commandments, or if we hide, compromise, give up, or reject God’s truths, then, regardless of what literal name we identify ourselves by, we are indeed laying down our arms, hiding our true colors, lowering God’s banner into the dust, and we become the captives of Satan.

“Our work is an aggressive one, and as faithful soldiers of Jesus, we must bear the blood-stained banner into the very strongholds of the enemy....If we will consent to lay down our arms, to lower the blood-stained banner, to become the captives and servants of Satan, we may be released from the conflict and the suffering. But this peace will be gained only at the loss of Christ and heaven.” God’s Amazing Grace, p 333.

By lowering God’s banner, and becoming the captives of the Devil, we are then standing under Satan’s banner of error and no longer under God’s banner of truth–even though we may call ourselves “Seventh-day Adventist”! This is because there are only two banners we can stand under.

Remember “there are but two parties in the world. All rank either under the banner of obedience or under the banner of the disobedient” (Bible Commentary, vol 5, p 1119), and “all are ranging themselves either under the banner of truth and righteousness or under the banner of the apostate powers that are contending for the supremacy” (Testimonies, vol 7, p 150-151).

So it is by our words, actions, and the character which we reveal to others, that we clearly show which of these two banners we stand under and herald, and not by the church name we identify ourselves by. This principle is clearly presented in the following testimony:

“It was presented before me in the following manner: A large company of heathen idolaters bore a black banner, upon which were figures of the sun, moon, and stars. This company seemed to be very fierce and angry. I was then shown another company bearing a pure white banner, upon which was written, ‘Purity and holiness unto the Lord.’ Their countenances were marked with firmness and heavenly resignation. I saw the heathen idolaters approach them, and there was a great slaughter. The Christians melted away before them; and yet the Christian company pressed the more closely together, and held the banner more firmly. As many fell, others rallied around the banner and filled their places.

“I saw the company of idolaters consulting together. Failing to make the Christians yield, they agreed to another plan. I saw them lower their banner and then approach that firm Christian company and make propositions to them. At first their propositions were utterly refused. Then I saw the Christian company consulting together. Some said that they would lower the banner, accept the propositions, and save their lives, and at last they could gain strength to raise their banner among the heathen. A few, however, would not yield to this plan, but firmly chose to die holding their banner rather than to lower it. Then I saw many lower the banner and unite with the heathen; but the firm and steadfast would again seize it and bear it on high. I saw that persons were continually leaving the company of those who bore the pure banner, and were uniting with the idolaters under the black banner, to persecute those bearing the white banner. Many were slain, yet the white banner was held high, and believers were raised up to rally around it.” Early Writings, p 211-212.

Brothers and sisters, this above history has been repeated over and over again in the history of God’s church. Each and every time a chosen church of God has decided to lower God’s banner of truth, it was not because they refused to identify themselves by their God-chosen name of Israel, or by the name of Christian, or by any other church name. But it was because they compromised God’s truths, lowered His standard of purity, and rebelled against His will. By doing this, they were lowering the banner of Christ, dishonoring and rejecting Him, and leaving His banner of truth to trail in the dust–even though they still clung to their church name. This rebellion led to God calling His people out of their apostate church, and to identify themselves by a different name. It is the same today.

We leave God’s banner to trail in the dust when we no longer stand for or advocate God’s truths, not because we do not uphold the name “Seventh-day Adventist.” Words are cheap, but actions reveal what is really in the heart.

“I am instructed to say to those who endeavor to tear down the foundation that has made us Seventh-day Adventists: we are God’s commandment-keeping people....He calls upon us to hold firmly with the grip of faith, to the fundamental principles that are based upon unquestionable authority.

“God has placed in our hands a banner on which is inscribed the words ‘the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’ ‘Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’ He declares, at all times and in all places we are to hold the banner firmly aloft. God’s denominated people are to take a firm stand under the banner of truth....Those who have arisen to question and overthrow the principles of present truth, have been sternly rebuked.” Manuscript Releases, vol 4, p 246 (Letter 95, March 14, 1905).

“There are only two parties upon the earth–those who stand under the blood-stained banner of Jesus Christ and those who stand under the black banner of rebellion. Those who stand under Christ’s banner bear the sign of obedience spoken of in Exodus 31:12-18.” Manuscript Releases, vol 14, p 161.

You will clearly notice that no where in this testimony was it mentioned or insinuated in the least degree that we were to take a firm stand under the name of “Seventh-day Adventist” as our banner; or that we were to hold the name of “Seventh-day Adventist” firmly aloft with the grip of faith; or that there would arise individuals who would question and seek to overthrow the name of “Seventh-day Adventist” who must be rebuked because we must stand under this literal name as a sign of our obedience. Yet this is the very position that many have taken and advocate in this banner issue.

Each and every person, regardless of what name, or lack of name, they may use to identify their religious persuasion, will clearly show and reveal to all the world exactly what banner they stand under and advocate. This is because “by their fruits ye shall know them” Matthew 7:20. By understanding this pure principle of heavenly truth, it then does not matter what church name you may use to identify yourself by, no matter how exalted this name may be, because it is by your fruits that you reveal which of these two banners you are standing under, and whom you are servants of and working for–either Christ or Satan.

Thus if we bear the banner of God and of Christ, we are to raise this banner in the name of God; we must conquer in the name of Jesus; we must magnify the name of Christ, and not to raise in, or conquer in, or magnify, the name of any church–including Seventh-day Adventist!

“We are standing under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel. As faithful soldiers of the cross we are not to fight against principles and powers, but against spiritual wickedness in high places. We are to meet Satan and his hosts. In this warfare there is no rest, no release. We must conquer in the name of Jesus, or be conquered.” Signs of the Times, May 10, 1903.

Therefore, in these last days of earth’s history, it is by showing and proving our loyalty to God by keeping and exalting His commandments–especially His Sabbath day, and refusing to give it up–regardless of the consequences or punishment heaped upon us, that we show to all the world that we stand under the banner of God. And it is not that we stand under God’s banner by showing and proving our loyalty to God by clinging to the name “Seventh-day Adventist”, refusing to give it up–regardless of the consequences or punishment heaped upon us. It is the truth of God’s word which we are to fully avow and boldly proclaim to the world, not a literal church name!

“It is at this time that the true Sabbath must be brought before the people both by pen and by voice. As the fourth commandment of the Decalogue and those who observe it are ignored and despised, the faithful few know that it is the time not to hide their face but to exalt the law of Jehovah by unfurling the banner on which is inscribed the message of the third angel, ‘Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’ Rev. 14:12. . . .

“All who proved their loyalty to God by observing His law, and refusing to accept a spurious sabbath, will rank under the banner of the Lord God Jehovah, and will receive the seal of the living God. Those who yield the truth of heavenly origin and accept the Sunday sabbath, will receive the mark of the beast.” Bible Commentary, vol 7, p 976.

“The Sabbath keepers at Seven Hills are intelligent, excellent people, but they are all poor. They have lifted the cross, separating from opposing friends and relatives, and have taken their stand under the blood stained banner of Christ, to be loyal to all the commandments of God.” Paulson Collection, p 134.

I sincerely hope and earnestly pray that all can understand that the foundational support given for the belief that the name “Seventh-day Adventist” is written on the banner of God, is not in agreement with the weight of evidence provided by a “Thus saith the Lord.”

This article was written not to cast down, or to needlessly cause any embarrassment or pain to, anyone who chooses to call themselves “Seventh-day Adventist” and thereby be identified with this apostate and corrupt church. But to show all those who have completely disconnected themselves from this Babylonian church that there is no command from God, nor is there any directive from the Spirit of Prophecy, that they must continue to cling to and identify themselves by the name “Seventh-day Adventist”.

Brother Cain and myself recently went to Africa, and we had a wonderful time. The Mission Trip was definitely blessed of the Lord, and He performed two mighty miracles while we were there. It took awhile to get there and it took awhile to get back, but it was definitely worth the trip!

We were met by Brother ____ who was the director of the International camp meeting that we were going to attend. We took a motel for the night, and then on Wednesday, the sixteenth, Brother ____ chauffeured us by taxi to the bus station. We had a five hour bus trip to ____. Then there was another two hours by car to Brother ____’s home where we spent Wednesday night. On Thursday we traveled about four hours by truck to where the camp site was being held. This camp was held out in the sticks in a beautiful area, there was a valley to the East of us with a nice flowing creek.

The theme of this International camp was “The Night is Far Spent,” subtitled, “Come out of Her, My People.” There were seven different African countries that were sending representatives and workers to this camp – including Zambia. There was two home churches represented from Namibia, two from South Africa, two from Kenya, two from Uganda, two from Zimbabwe, one from Malawi, and, sixteen different home churches from Zambia. On Friday we set up our tents and had our workers’ meeting in the afternoon.

In the workers’ meeting, with the representatives and workers of the seven different African nations Brother Cain and I wanted to make sure that they were grounded on the issues of present truth. We found that all of them were grounded on the truth of the SDA church being Babylon, the necessity of breaking membership connection with Babylonian churches, except for one individual who was still studying the issue on membership.

We also went over the need for Gospel Order to be implemented in the home churches. Many, especially in Zambia, had already established gospel order, and they were making sure that the pulpit was guarded by knowing beforehand what the speaker believes before you allow them to take the pulpit.

The particular time chosen for this Camp was in the coolest time of the African year – which is August and September. But in September Zambia was going to have presidential elections. And about a month or so before the elections, all public meetings are cancelled unless you gain a special permit, and you can’t have this special permit unless you are registered with the government. But Brother ____ and our other home churches are not registered with the government, they don’t have a particular name representing their organization, they just basically are spreading the gospel and holding meetings. Yet because Brother ____ is well known in several of the communities and is friends with some of the chiefs of police, they basically allowed him and the home churches to meet in peace, because they recognize that they are not terrorists or out to disrupt the government.

But the only reason we were able to hold this camp meeting during this particular time with elections drawing near was because the territory where the camp was being held is governed by a tribal chief. This one particular tribal chief granted permission to use his land for the period of this camp meeting because a couple of his tribal members were part of the home church. The chief was somewhat familiar with the tenants of our faith because they had held the camp meeting there two times previous. Even though meetings like this were banned throughout Zambia until after the elections, and even though the chief of police could not grant a permit to Brother ____, yet because the chief granted his permission, the camp meeting was allowed to take place in his territory.

In Zambia the tribal chiefs are held in great respect because they are not elected to their office, they’re born to their office, whereas the president and members of parliament are elected. You would have political candidates visiting the chiefs of the different areas where they were campaigning, and they would go up to them and would bow and show respect to the chiefs because they are held in much higher regard than even the president.

When the chief granted Brother ____ permission to hold the camp meeting on his territory no one in the government would be able to say much about it. And we were able to meet there in peace although the devil tried his best to come in and disrupt the camp through wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Throughout the course of the camp we had close to 300 individuals attending. Each of the meetings generally had 100 or more adults and children. It was not just a small little gathering that could get away without notice. There was a lot of people there. Without the chief’s permission it would not have taken place.

On Sabbath they asked me to present the talk on “Let There Be Light” from 9:30 to noon. Then we had lunch, then from about 2 to 4 we had a question and answer session. I was expecting the question and answer session to be surrounding the topic of separating from light and darkness but the questions that came from the African brethren were dealing with problems in their home churches, such as who performs the baptism, who performs the funeral service, etc.

Saturday evening we continued with the workers’ meeting from about 8 pm to 11 pm on the subject of Gospel Order. It was a very good surprise for Brother Cain and myself to find these African brethren not just sitting around waiting for someone to tell them to do something. They were actually taking hold of the work and accomplishing it in their home churches.

Just briefly, Gospel Order is basically organizing your home church under the simple rules laid out in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. It’s making sure that the door is closed so that the devil cannot get in. It’s not organized under any type of hierarchy where man rules over man. You can go through the book of Acts and find this order laid out very simply and effectively. It’s designed especially to shut the devil and his agents out from gaining control of the church by making sure that the only individuals who preach from the pulpit are those that are one hundred percent in the truth.

We’ve seen, over and over again, in America and elsewhere, that a traveling minister visits the Home Church who speaks well or maybe plays the guitar and has a good voice. Soon they are allowed to sing up front, and even allowed to take the pulpit before anybody knows exactly what he is going to say or what position he holds. Pretty soon he starts introducing fanaticisms or other false doctrines that cause the church to study it out. Half of them ending up going along with the fanaticism, and the other half don’t believe it. Then a division occurs in the church. Whereas in Gospel Order, that would not be allowed to take place. Before anyone is allowed to take a leadership role up front and stand before the people you have to know exactly what they believe, what they stand for. So that’s just one aspect.

Another aspect of Gospel Order is that the church is turned into a working church. It’s not allowed for one or two people to do all the work in the church, but everyone is put into their particular area of gift, or expertise, or whatever talents they may have. Thus the church becomes alive. Everybody is interested in helping every other member to move forward in Christ and to spread the gospel to others. That’s basically what we were going over with the African brethren. They were already well along in implementing Gospel Order in the home churches.

Gary and I finished up talking about organizing the home churches themselves individually, making sure that God is allowed to rule in the local home churches. Then we talked about once Gospel Order is established in the local home church, then there is to be a uniting together with other home churches that have already established Gospel Order. It goes from the local home church being organized, to branching out to other home churches in the area that are organized, developing a working relationship with all the other home churches. This simple organization is for the purpose of establishing the missionary work, and it’s not for the purpose of controlling people like you see in a hierarchy.

After the local home churches are all united and working together, then it branches out where all the home churches throughout the country are united and working together. From there it branches out to other countries throughout Africa and around the world. Thus all the home churches are in communication with one another, they’re all in unity with one another, and they’re all helping one another spread the gospel. This is what we went over with them, and they were right with us every step of the way.

The last thing that Brother Cain and I addressed the brethren on regarding Gospel Order was what name do we call our organized home churches by? Do we cling to the name Seventh-day Adventist? Do we call ourselves Historic Adventists? Or do we choose a different name? As we discussed through this issue, the representatives from the different African home churches had already received the Seventh-day Remnant Voice magazine. These magazines had already addressed these issues, including a new name, and had already caused a lot of discussion in the various African countries among the home church brethren. Some were saying we must continue to call ourselves Adventists, while others were saying why not choose a different name to show ourselves distinct and separate from those corrupt churches. So this discussion had already taken place and they were pretty much comfortable with the issue of choosing a new name.

When Gary and I were presenting this, and because they had already gone through the issues and had studied it out, they said, you know, we don’t want to call ourselves Seventh-day Adventists because that would connect us with the corrupted church that we left, that name has been pulled down from its high and sacred standing which it once had, and now is connected with apostasy and corruption with the Adventist church and all the mess that’s going on there.

As we talked about what name would be best to identify and call ourselves by, all the home churches represented from the seven different African nations, chose the name Seventh-day Remnant. This was about 10:30 pm. Most people had already gone to bed, but Gary and myself wanted to leap up and shout Hallelujah! Yet we contained ourselves. It was such a wonderful miracle and blessing!

Towards the end of the camp, 34 different representatives of the home churches throughout Africa signed a covenant called the “African Home Church Covenant, Solwezi, Zambia”. They signed their name as representative, what country they were from, and what home church they were representatives of. Over 34 different home church representatives, representing 21 different home churches from seven different countries throughout the continent of Africa, signed this covenant which states: “We, the undersigned, having fully separated from all the corrupt churches and following God’s will on gospel order, have covenanted to identify ourselves and our home churches by the name Seventh-day Remnant.”

Of these 21 different home churches represented on that paper: ten different home churches were from Zambia, two home churches were from Namibia, two from South Africa, two from Kenya, two from Uganda, two from Zimbabwe, and one home church from Malawi. Twenty-one home churches in seven different African countries have all covenanted to call themselves and their home churches Seventh-day Remnant!

When these representatives returned home they were going to work to bring the rest of the home churches in their particular country to understand the importance of what had taken place, and to also covenant to identify themselves and their home churches by the name Seventh-day Remnant. Praise God, brothers and sisters! That was the first gigantic miracle that took place in Africa.

I pray that our home churches and brothers and sisters here in America, Australia, Canada and elsewhere can come together and discuss these same issues so that we can also covenant together to call ourselves Seventh-day Remnant so that we don’t get left behind. Our African brethren are moving forward and they’re being blessed tremendously by the Lord. It’s time that we come up to the help of the Lord against the mighty foes as well and establish Gospel Order in our ranks and further distance ourselves from all the Babylonian churches. It is time we recognize that God is calling all His chosen people by a new name, as we’re told in Isaiah 65, and that this new name is already given us in scripture in Revelation 12:17, the “remnant” who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. This is our prayer that here in America and other countries we can come together and discuss these issues, and then move forward in doing what God would have us do. Let us show our African brethren that we are just as determined to serve the Lord as they are.

The camp meeting started on Sunday, the twentieth and basically all the people had arrived by that time. As I said, we had close to, if not over, 300 people there. We were out in the middle of the wilderness. There were no stoves, everybody cooked their food in a fire pit in pots and pans and so on. There was a generator, but that was only for lighting the camp at night, especially when the evening meeting was taking place.

On Monday, the twenty-first, I presented “Corporate Responsibility” from 9 to 12 in the morning, then from 2 to 4 there was questions and answers. Again, the majority of the questions were dealing with the practical areas which they wanted instruction or help on from the Bible of Spirit of Prophecy. But to God’s glory, that one brother and sister that were part of the workers’ meeting, but who were still studying this topic, towards the end of the camp decided that they, too, would remove their names and join fully with the remnant. That was a great blessing.

On Tuesday, August 22, Gary presented Gospel Order organization showing the difference between a hierarchy in a corporation, where you have a CEO or the CFO and all the way down the line – just like a pyramid. You have a man at the top and the authority flows downward until you get to the members or employees of that corporation. In regards to a religious hierarchy like in Catholicism or Seventh-day Adventism, you have the same type of corporation set up where you have the General Conference President or the Pope at the top and authority flows down that pyramid all the way down to the very bottom – which is the membership.

Then Gary presented what the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy termed Gospel Order organization, in which you don’t have a pyramid, you have basically a rectangle set up on end. At the very top is God and Christ, next comes the members, and at the very bottom you have the leaders of the organization or the ministers and the elders and so on. In other words, at the very top closest to God you have the membership, and at the very bottom you have the ministers and the leaders. Why is that? Because, the ministers and leaders are servants to the body of Christ, which is the membership. Whereas in a hierarchy you have the members at the very bottom that are servants to the president and the other leaders.

Gary’s sermon seemed to have a tremendous impact upon the listeners because they could clearly see that the Adventist church is not set up on Gospel Order as depicted in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, but they were set up as a worldly corporate business, which shuts out the working of the Holy Spirit because man was controlling man and taking orders from man. They clearly saw which organization God would have His people adopt and follow.

On Friday Gary gave a talk on Signs of the Times dealing on the Investigative Judgment. On Monday I was supposed to give a talk on God’s True Church but I was asked by the Zambian home church representatives to hold off because the chief of the territory had expressed interest in that particular subject. He wanted to know who and what was God’s true church, and he was planning on coming to the camp meeting. What a pleasant surprise that was to us. On Sabbath the chief said he was going to come, and he was going to bring some other visitors along with him.

At about 10 in the morning on Sabbath the chief came along with his wife and several other women from the palace. There was a special seat for the chief and his wife, and the first two rows were taken up by the entourage that came with him. I spoke until noon on God’s True Church and who makes it up – which is individuals. I dealt upon how do we become a part of it, which is by recognizing that we are sinners, that we’ve broken God’s law, and that we need to connect ourselves directly with Christ, becoming justified and then receiving grace and strength to keep God’s law in the process of sanctification.

It was interesting that during the sermon his wife began to take notes and the chief looked like he was sleeping. But a little while later I noticed that the wife wasn’t taking notes anymore, the chief was! My heart leaped for joy when I saw that. After the sermon we broke for lunch. Then we came back for questions and answers.

During the lunch hour, the chief met with myself and Gary and the other representatives from the African continent. He spoke English quite well. He was an elderly man, at least in his seventies if not early eighties, very pleasant.

Gary can tell you a little more, he had a private meeting with the chief about health. Gary was able to share some health principles with the chief that we are hoping he follows. He had a serious illness that almost killed him some months prior, and he was continuing to recover.

The chief and the women that were with him were religious, in fact over 90 percent of Zambia is religious. They’ve had Christian influence in their country for many, many decades. The chief and most of the women that were there were Sunday keepers.

Since they were Sunday keepers, that, of course, brought up the issue of God’s law and the Sabbath. The first question that came from the women was a need to explain Colossians 2 dealing with the sabbaths, and the new moons, being nailed to the cross. They, of course, were connecting the fourth commandment with that text as having also been nailed to the cross.

The brethren in the camp meeting were praying that the Lord would grant the right answers to their questions because if the chief could be converted, or even his wife or some of the women there could be converted to the present truth, what an influence that would have to spread the message throughout the rest of the chief’s territory, as well as through the other territories.

Then there was another question that came up, but before I could answer, Brother ____ stood up and mentioned that since we had just a limited time for questions and answers it would probably be better if he or another worker would come and study personally with them on these issues of Sabbath versus Sunday. They said that they were willing.

Then the chief raised his hand, and his question was quite interesting. He said, We’ve heard from the speaker that the original Sabbath was on Saturday, the seventh day, then sometime after Christ was resurrected it got changed from Saturday to Sunday, from the seventh day to the first day. What I want to know is who made the change and when did the change take place? What a loaded question from the chief! This powerful question showed that his mind was very sharp, and that he really wanted to know the answer.

As the chief asked this question the Lord instantly took my mind to Daniel chapter 7. I then opened the scriptures to Daniel 7 and invited them to follow along with me. I showed them the history of those four different beasts that were portrayed there. The first was Babylon, the next was Medo-Persia who conquered Babylon, the next was Greece who conquered Medo-Persia, and then Rome who conquered Greece. A little farther down it brings up a little horn who speaks great things, having a mouth and eyes, and then he uproots three of the ten horns.

I pointed out that when Rome fell in AD 476 it was divided into the ten different European countries that made Rome what it was. That there was one power, and one power only, who after the fall of Rome uprooted or basically took over three European countries, who were the Heruli, the Vandals, and the Ostrogoths. The only power that uprooted those was the Roman Catholic Church, and she used the civil power at the time to conquer these three nations because they refused to recognize the authority of the pope in religious matters. This history shows that it was the Roman Catholic Church who was represented by this little horn, who speaks great things against the most High. The pope wants to be worshipped as God, in fact he claims the title of being god on the earth, the vicar of Christ.

I then asked a question, As the pope wants to be worshipped as God, and it says in Daniel 7:25 that this little horn will seek to change times and laws, whose law do you think that the pope would want to change so he could be worshipped as god and not the God of heaven? What’s the only commandment in the Bible that specifically lists God as the Creator of heaven and earth and that we are to worship Him? It’s the fourth commandment, and the Pope has sought to change God’s law from Saturday to Sunday, and he has been deceiving the rest of the world to follow him in like manner.

I then paraphrased the Roman Catholic church’s challenge to Protestants where they state, that as the Protestants claim to follow the Bible and the Bible alone as their rule of faith, but yet they keep Sunday holy which is a commandment of the Catholic Church alone, so the Protestants need to go back to following the Bible and the Bible alone and thus give up Sunday and start keeping Saturday as God’s Sabbath, or they need to come back to Rome and continue to keep Sunday and follow the pope as their leader.

That seemed to catch the chief and some of the others somewhat by surprise. I continued and said, You know, I have many other statements where the Roman Catholic Church claims the authority to change God’s law from Saturday to Sunday, and I can send those to you if you’d like. The chief and the other women there said Yes, please, do. In fact the chief gave Gary his direct mailing address so we could send him these materials, and other materials on health. That was the second tremendous miracle that God worked out while Gary and I were there. The chief left about 5 pm or so Sabbath afternoon.

Later Sabbath afternoon, we had a baptism of three people. A man and his wife, who I mentioned before were having trouble with the corporate responsibility issue, had now embraced it and were going to remove their names from the church and join our group. They were baptized along with another sister from Malawi. After that we had the Lord’s supper. It was just a wonderful Sabbath!

The camp meeting ended on Sunday. After we departed from the camp, Brother ____ took us into ____. We also visited church members and other family members of Brother ____, and then we traveled back to his house where we said some goodbyes to some brethren from Namibia and South Africa who were heading back home. Then we slept.

On Monday, the 28th, we said more goodbyes to the Kenyan brethren, the Ugandan brethren, the Zimbabwian brethren, and Malawi as well. Then we took that notorious bus ride six hours from ____ back to Lusaka. We were supposed to meet with another home church there, but we got in late and were tired. Yet we were still able to meet briefly with some of the representatives and members from that group. We are going to be sending them some more material, and I think Brother ____ is planning on visiting them, trying to get them to embrace the present truth, and then to join along with the rest of the sixteen home churches.

All in all, the Lord worked wonderfully at this camp meeting in Africa. Gary and I over and over again thanked and praised the Lord for arranging for us to travel to Africa for such a time as this, and then for all the wonderful blessings and miracles that He worked out while we were there.

About a week after we got back home, I received an e-mail from Brother ____. Brothers and sisters, the Lord is continuing to work tremendous miracles in Africa, because the message I received was that the chief had embraced the message of present truth! God is so wonderful!

We were told that there is several different Sunday keeping churches which are meeting in the chief’s territory, but he has not visited a single one of them. Even though all the time the chief has been living there, and all the different times these churches have had their services, he has not visited a single one. But when it came to our camp meeting, the Lord worked upon his heart and he was willing to come and visit. He was willing to listen. He was even taking notes! And now after we have left he has had a chance to study it out, I’m sure either Brother ____ or Brother ____ who are members of his tribe and who live in his territory, have had a chance to come and personally study with him. Now the chief has embraced the message.

God is working indeed, brothers and sisters. But our African brethren are leaving us behind. They’re moving forward in following God’s will. They’ve embraced Gospel Order and chosen the name Seventh-day Remnant. What are we going to do in our countries?

I believe it’s time for the different home church representatives here in America, in Canada and elsewhere, to come together in our countries and discuss these issues, and hopefully we can unite together as home churches in Christ calling ourselves Seventh-day Remnant. Let’s show our African brethren that we’re just as serious in following the Lord as they are. I hope we can meet together soon and discuss these issues and move forward. Look at the wonderful blessings that God’s doing in Africa! He’s willing to do it here in our home country as well.

Overall this was a marvelous experience that God has given Brother Cain and myself. I thank you for all of your prayers and the well wishes that you’ve granted to us through all of this experience, as I know that it definitely helped in making things move smoothly and in accomplishing the many wonderful miracles that God worked out and is continuing to work out in behalf of His people. I also thank our supporters, especially some special ones (you know who you are), who have made this trip possible with their donations, without which this trip would not have taken place. We ask for your continued prayers, and may God help us all to come together in unity and fulfill His prayer of John 17.

The work of spreading God's present truth is not to be limited, but must extend world-wide to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people before our Saviour can come (Matthew 24:14). What better way of spreading the present truth gospel than by having workers who speak the native language, who reside in that particular Country, who can live and preach the truth, visit the interests in their homes, and spread the printed truth translated into their common language!

Much can be done through the medium of the press, but still more can be accomplished if the influence of the living preacher goes with our publications....The Lord has moved upon men of other tongues and has brought them under the influence of the truth, that they might be qualified to labor in His cause." "Every opportunity should be improved to extend the truth to other nations. This will be attended with considerable expense, but expense should in no case hinder the performance of this work. Means are of value only as they are used to advance the interest of the kingdom of God. The Lord has lent men means for this very purpose, to use in sending the truth to their fellow men." And it's a problem for my friends...too, and I do not feel comfortable by going to other churches and the corrupt Seventh Day Adventist church on the Sabbath day because I don't want to fellowship with them (The SDA church and other Sabbath keeping denominations) and ____ believes that we (go there and) must keep witnessing to them and awaken members to the truth until the police escort us off the church....

(Note: This letter was not directly sent to me, but was forwarded to me from another brother, but we decided to place it in here anyways. It reveals a deception that many are under -- that of believing that you must stay in a corrupt church until that church forces you to leave, while God says "Come out of her, My people").

Pastor, we are writing this letter to express our great appreciation and thanks for the wonderful parcel contain 10 booklets you sent to us. These materials arrived in good condition a couple of days ago, really these materials are very great help to our missionary work here because they help us to reach the unreached souls and win souls to prepare them to meet their Lord and Master Jesus in the sky in His second coming....

We have given out tracts at the bus station where people takes something with them home. We have given out tracts to the SDA people and as well as the outside people, and we also give them answers to their questions. We have also giving out translated books and booklets to the people, and lot of them still asking for it. I am sure that they will like these translated books. We are dealing with now, as a lot of them now came to believe that this is the real truth. House to house visitation is still going on....

For the Methodist, the first day of the week is Monday, not Sunday as we all know, that is why Sunday is very important to them, they said that Sunday is the seventh day of the week, and when we show them (what) the Bible (says), they were shocked to learn that the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. I am trying to tell them properly about the Sabbath, it is important that they keep the real Sabbath and not Sunday. Some of the people are beginning now to keep the true Sabbath, and I will be preaching more about the real Sabbath.

We have given out tracts at ____ bus stand and other places. We answer questions from people, some of them is about Sabbath. We always sit down and open our Bible and show to them what the word says. We came across two couples who agrees with us that the true Sabbath is Saturday, although they know the truth but they were keeping Sunday according to what they believe in their church. They are now keeping the true Sabbath....

Seventh Day Adventists are preaching (only) the Third Angel's Message nothing more than that. They said that why are we preaching the 3rd and the 4th angels message? They believe that it is not yet time for what we are preaching now. The S.D.A. church is in a very sad situation today. Their President Mr T. Osborne (overseeing Fiji) is forced to resign, and he will be finishing off in November. It seems that the prophecy about this church is fulfilling.

Thanks be to God for all His goodness. We (____ and me) arrived home on Friday after such a long, long journey (from Zambia). We are still nursing the weariness. However remembering the fellowship we had, we are more comforted. We are looking forward to meeting other brethren this weekend to share with them the package (truths) of the trip.

Wonder of wonders! Praise God for His mighty work He is doing. Many more calls will be coming in now. Thanks for quick response. If (I) tell you I thought I would rest after the meeting, will you believe it? But how can one lie down seeing the calls that are coming in?

I think with the current trend, $200 may cater for these calls; if more will be required, then we shall know. Remember some of the places we are being called to are new, never been visited by us before. (Editor's Note: Praise God for His merciful kindness!) Looking forward to meeting with these truth-yearning souls!

I thank God for the honored position that He has given to do in His behalf. The letters you lately forwarded seem to be bearing fruit fast. The brothers have responded, requiring our quick response. There is one call from Nairobi, and another from Western Kenya. Especially from Bro. ____, it appears it is a big Church, (but) yet to be known if Adventist or Protestant. It may require somebody going there to ascertain as Barnabbas was sent to Antioch.

The work of presenting Christ to the world is going ahead though with uneasiness. In ____ the Lord has blessed me and His work, for now a good team of workers is going to be formed. The Lord has brought in ____ who has been the Elder of one of the Churches of SDA ____, he is very strong in faith and determined.

Secondly, I met Brother ____, who had been a Communication Director in ____ District. I talked to him about the present truth, how to be joined to Christ, but not be joined to the Apostate Church. He declared that he had been in search for the group who are determined to walk the old paths and (now) he had found it. He has willingly separated, and we are together crying aloud in ____. Soon ____ and some (other) parts of Kenya are going to be shaken. Please pray for us to be strong in the Lord.

In ____, great work has been done. We have a structure where members assemble to worship God. I used my own money to buy metals and posts to make it, and besides that, last month on 23rd I baptized six souls in the name of Christ. (Editor's Note: Wonderful!) Remember this Centre in your prayer because to have even one member to church it is the act of God not of man. Praise God we have six souls of men and women from the community. Besides that, soon God is going to bless us in ____ (where) a Centre will be opened. I am having a talk with members of one of the SDA who have learned that their church has been sold.

The problem facing us is that most Kenyans are poor, from this poverty I am working. Traveling is a problem to us here, fares do rise abruptly, which means things are uncontrolled. We need money to work hard. Besides that, I am requesting for Bibles to provide to those in these new Centres and new members. Some new Centres you can preach to people seated like Catholics, without Bibles or SOP books. In my day to day work may you send me separation video tapes part one, it can do tremendous work....

The report from here ____ is that new souls are joining in the church. The number is increasing as members of the SDA are disfellowshiped from their Church, because they are inquiring to know what they have learnt from our booklets whether they are true or false. They have known that abomination of desolation has stood in the holy ground. For that reason ____ now needs three supported workers to gather the great number pushed out of SDA. Bear in mind that in ____ there are over three million population staying in it. The city needs (those) who can stand to defend the faith, men of wisdom and humble spirit. Men like George Ombati should not be encouraged, he has nothing to do with (our Home Churches because of) his false doctrine that the Holy Spirit is not God. He has no Centre, (and) I have made people to know (about) him.

____ camp meeting ended on 22 October successfully, and after that I went to the border between Kenya and Tanzania where a great number attended. When the call was made, about 15 new members joined the church. After that I got an invitation from Tanzania where I presented the message on how the church SDA has been married to Catholic and it is now worshiping the cross. They requested me to give them SOP books like, PP, GC, PK, etc., so as to learn the truth by themselves that they may build a strong foundation and make mass exodus. The group was of teachers, business men, church elders and youths -- they were 20 in number.

(One of) the questions they asked me is if I can put a structure where they can gather to worship. I answered them (that) their question I will present it to the church....My request is (that) brethren in faith (will) help Africa (where) many souls are perishing in want of the truth, to effect (build up) the ministry here. First the ministry needs wise, meek, tactful workers; secondly these men needs the following to provide Bibles, both English and Kiswahili, SOP books, putting up shelters for worshiping in, PA systems, vehicles to carry workers and apparatus for the work. May you keenly look to those needs in your prayers. God has opened ways already.

I thank Him for His hand which gathered us to Zambia Camp meeting this year. I also thank Him for the word of truth which His Spirit led us to and even His giving us of another name or a new name according to Isaiah 62:2, Rev 3:12 and Isaiah 65:15.

Once more l can say thank you for granting our request which we (the supported workers) discussed on support when we were in Zambia Camp meeting. May our God also bless the supporters so much and give the Holy Spirit which can make them do much more.

There is positive danger that some who profess to believe the truth will be found in a position similar to that of the Jews. They take the ideas of the men they are associated with, not because by (themselves) searching the scriptures, (but) they conscientiously (and foolishly) accept the teachings (of other men) in doctrine as truth. We are to be ever searching for the truth as for hidden treasures that Jesus will reveal to us precious old truth in a new light, if we are ready to receive them, but they must be received in the way in which the Lord shall choose to send them (This Day With God, p 314).

General christian greetings in Jesus' name. How are (you) in getting on since your left the Zambian camp? I hope your journey back was fine. Our brothers ____ and ____ reached here well and gave us all the information in regards to the camp you had. We were so much happy for the information and we pray the God may help you to accomplish that which is in accordance with His purposes.

The work here is extending, although there are some controversies on some issues. God is helping others to see, and new people are seeing and coming to the truth. So there are so many calls which need our attention, pray for us that we may be able to fulfill those details.

As I have been mention in some of the previous newsletters about the public street evangelism -- it's one of the simple and most effective area to teach and convince the multitudes about the 3 angels' message, Sabbath truth, and finest to distribute the printed materials. And other side of it, is very risky to be in public to rebuke and call the people to come out of Babylonian churches.

Next day on the 14th we began the public street preaching. We choose the best location which people usually crowded during the lunch hours. Sound systems and prophecy charts (were) set up with the printed theme: "Come out of Babylon", and we started off with the introduction message about antichrist of Rev - 17. And this is an eye opening subject to the listening crowds.

After preaching, I announced to public that we are continuing whole of next week on this subject, please don't miss this message. I paid the N.B.C. local radio with announcement note, and they aired in radio about the topics for each day, location, time and our Ministry. When people received the announcement from radio, hungry souls changed their directions from private businesses and rush in town to receive the final warning message. (Editor's Note: praise God!)

Attendance of people, young and old, from far and near, all classes of people from different denominations all through the weekdays really challenged me that PNG badly hungry for the End-Time message before probation closes. Time is a right time, we have to move from place to place with the call-out message.

The message during the week hit the hearts of the SDA Conf. organization and revealed her sins and apostasies from the top of GC down to the local churches. Apostate ministers were challenged to come out with members from the Babylonian system.

A young graduate minister, been in gospel field for last 6 years, responded to the call out message and came forward, and confirmed all the apostasies creeped into Adventist organization. He came with few questions...It took 2 1/2 hours to discussed further until he promised to join the forces to work for God independently from the Conference organization. He confirmed the first meeting to hold in his village...Before he leave us, he pleaded saying, "Please uphold me in your prayers. I know I'm going to face a big challenge from my organization, and from my own families."

Pr. ____ of Nazarine Church, serving the church as church pastor and a lecturer for ____ for 6 years, came forward and held my hand, humbled himself as a simple man, just after attending 4 days preaching. He admitted, "I have a diploma certificate to teach the Bible! It last (took) me four years to learn from the college which I attend. I thought I was fully educated, I got enough to teach others, but it is God who brings me here to show me the full truth. I am really ashamed because the biblical truth is too far (beyond) for me to reach (understand) yet. I know where the great mistake is, the church which I belong to is not God's church. I need to move out."

He continued saying, "Thank you pastor ____ for the final truth you present. Your presentation is extreme and beyond what I learned from the college. May God protect you and bless your ministry to call the people out from the Babylonian churches to God's true church."

840 pieces of "Image of the Beast" (booklets were distributed), 305 pieces (of) "Church of God", 97 pieces (of) "Jeremiah", and 13 "WPBT (Why Are Protestants Bowing to the) Pope?" (booklets were passed out). Total of 1,255 booklets given away with few Pidgin tracts and booklets.

After the conclusion message on Friday 21st of July, a SDA conference minister with few elders from the Hagen Town church set their loud speaker in front of us, not to preach the word of God, but to debate with us concerning on the point which I said in sermon "SDA Conference is Babylon, Come Out."

When they switch on the speaker and start speaking to attack us, a huge group of young men rush (forward) and shout to them and threatened them to put off the speaker and moved out. The crowd said, "Where have you SDA Conference been since we were here roaming around the street? These boys came from another Province as our visitor with the truth. They are presenting the truth, we accepted as a truth". Angry multitudes from different denomination forced the SDA conference church leaders to withdraw and moved out so in just 10 minutes time they walked away.

I share the revival topics with my boys (workers), and we run the revival program in our home church night and morning. During my spare hours, I teach young laymen about the leadership quality and art of preaching. 10 days of our stay in ____ was a great blessing in our lives. It's unforgettable blessings we enjoyed. We praise God...

On the 9th of August, 2006, more than 80 angry assaulters from the SDA conference church of Biolla District been mobilized by District Director pastor Alois M. Siegert and attack Silary laymembers home church group at evening hours. This terrible attack was unexpected and (brought) panic.

Eye witness said, angry mobs rush in from all directions with knives, stones and sticks. They shout angrily, punching, kicking and beaten. 8 laymen and 3 ladies were wounded with knives. Some were struck unconscious. Little children was lifted and thrown them outside from (the top of) 1-2 meters high buildings.

Next day, 10th of August, those angry mobs returned aiming (to attack) the (home) church (building) and houses (of its members). Church doors, louvers, benches and the Sabbath school table (were) smashed down. Every house and gardens are totally under ruin. All their clothings, beddings, cooking utensils, working tools and other properties were also destroyed, and some stolen away. Victims spend few nights in jungles under big shady trees, caves and abroad. Nobody was seriously hurt, but they lost all their properties and houses and gardens.

The week before this evil attack occurred, all of New Guinea Island laymembers (were) hosting a mini-camp from 30th July to 06th August. Report says, during the camp some local leaders and members from the SDA conference churches were attending the camp just to observe, but at the end of meeting they decided and took their stand because the truth arrested them. Other conference folks heard the story as the news spread out from the Laymen camp. Been (because of) fear of losing his other leaders and members, he (District Director) organized this evil plan and demons in human form marched against God's church and flocks.

(On the) 16th and 17th of August, I travelled on ship with other fellow worker to visit our brethrens and (see the) destructive site. During the 2 days of our visit, I encouraged few members to stand and (be) unmoved on this plain truth. I couldn't visit all the members because most of our members still dwelled in (the) bush and some scattered and stayed with friends.

Their priority needs are: clothings, cooking utensils, beddings, gardening and building tools and nails for building proper houses, and renovating the church again. I send the urgent bulletins in all our churches in PNG to contribute funds to support our suffering members. I was invited to run one week program in ____. We began the meeting with 120 believers and some (other) people joined us in weekdays and weekend. I spoke about "Unity Among Believers in Sound Doctrines of Faith" and "No New Organization." Also brother ____ took extra session on Health Message. During the week (at) mid-day (noon) we really enjoyed our market preaching...

I would like to praise the Lord God Almighty and His wonderful holy name for always new souls are accepting His present truth and coming to join our faith. When we run every evangelistic camp or street preaching program, new members are adding into God's church.

Hello brother! How are you there? I pray that our loving (God) is always with you, your ministry and your family. Now because I work also on medical lines I can say that it more laborious work than a plain giving Bible study. Because I focused my radio program in medical lines so I have some whom I visited for this work and it is really more taxing because you know I should often visit them if they have followed your counsel, but I am happy doing this with our Lord Jesus, more if you see that they are cooperating with you and is getting well through the help of God. I hope and pray that may God blessed this work and may win souls to Christ. (Editor's Note: Amen).

About my medical work: we have visited a mother who was for almost a year in bed. She cannot stand and walk. When we visited her, instead of giving them a Bible study we counseled and gave her some advice to follow in regard to health and every time we leave we pray for her and for her whole family. We gave her some natural medicine which at first we do not know if it will work for her because her disease is very strange to us. Her muscles were losing their strength, starting with her shoulder and arms then going down to the hips and legs which caused her to become a bed ridden patient.

After a few days we visited her again and told us that her bowel movement was going better, and you know after a week of taking the natural medicine plus change of lifestyle and prayer she can now stand with her feet and her whole family was very thankful to us. She called me doctor, but I told them that I’m not a doctor, (I) am only a medical missionary and that it is God who was doing great for her. Till now am visiting her to watch her as part of my medical missionary work; like Christ, He spent almost 2/3 of His ministry in medical lines. Sister White also said that in these last days medical missionary work will do great things in the Lord’s work. I pray that she may continue going well for her neighbors are watching her physical development through natural way of healing and may this work could win souls to Christ in the end.

There were times that in my visit I am sharing to them little by little the truths of the Bible, like God hates having idols in the house especially if you are knelling to these idols (graven images) and of course the Sabbath of the Lord: they are Catholics.

May God be praised; I was visited by one of the members of the Sunrise Sabbath keepers whom I was giving a Bible studies before. He still longing for the truths we have, in fact he attended our whole Sabbath service and was convinced of the truth that we have. I praise God though I thought before that truth I shared had no effect to them, but I erred in this, the fruit of labor is beginning to appear through the Lord’s direction....

Yeah, I also wish and pray that we may reach the unity of faith and work to all our churches as our African brethren. I was so touched for them and their work. I'm longing for the same spirit (that it) may manifest here in the Philippines. Actually we have experienced that before, but because Satan is at work we are again (back) in the starting point, but still praying and working for this unity. Please send my regard to them. I'm thankful too that God protected you in all your travels....

Grace and peace from our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, (may They) be with you. First I am extending my warmest thanks for all the help financially and prayers that you are continually giving me, thank you so much dear brother. Secondly, I am very sorry that I sent this report too late. We experienced storm that destroys many of our electricity post (power stations) and because of that we suffered for almost a week without electrical energy. In our local area we have at least 28 posts that were damaged aside from other nearby provinces that go through, also the beat (pounding) of (the) storm, and to my knowledge there is still other vicinity that has no power. I am thankful to God that we are now okay.

Last month my work has been confined in these areas; in ____, ____, to the Sunrise Sabbath keepers and in ____. In ____, I met a group of Adventist debaters sent from Philippine Union Mission of SDA church who were to and fro to their churches keeping their members intact with(in) the SDA organization. In our meeting we discussed things, and I stand in this position that the SDA church now is no longer the remnant church; and that church is Babylon and we need to come out; and Christ could not be a Priest here on earth (thus the Atonement could not have occurred on the cross); it is sin to cook on Sabbath day; and SDA’s membership with the WCC etc.

You know brother, they are totally changed in their words and strategies. You will no longer see them as ambassadors of Christ, their volume sounds and their shouting compared to us was too high. Their words like “you’re losers”, “you have found your match”, we have been also declared as group of demons and foolish men, offshoots, with shouting and clapping hands that interrupts my time while giving a message. I know that they were trying to (cause us to) lose our tempers through their ridiculous words, but we’re very thankful to God that through His grace enables us to stand (unmoved) with their strong words (and remain) calmly and easy, praying to God for those honest souls in their net. They were very hot in our discussion, but thanks to God the truth had been lifted and lighted to those who attended the meeting.

Through God’s help we were successful in presenting the strong truths with evidences that they were not able to refute. They stand opposite to that which I have presented, especially in the Babylon issue, because they claim that the SDA church will never become Babylon by using the “1893” quotations that says don’t call the church Babylon. We’re very thankful to God (that) through His grace all questions were answered clearly and with evidences. I can say that pastors I met before is very different from the pastors I met now, because they are getting worse and worse.

On the other hand on the positive side, there was a member of them who after the discussion invited us to her house. She told us that she was not happy to what was showed by her pastors and informed us that she did not participate in their shouting and clapping hands. She said that she was hurt especially when they accused us as (being) foolish men. She said that she is open for the truth and she was happy that she saw us very calm and peaceful and we don’t even retaliated with their words of accusations during the meeting. Though after the meeting she was given a memo that all the members should not receive or invite offshoots in their home, she told us that she was not afraid of that. (May God especially open her eyes to the truth!) Before we leave I gave her our booklet “the WCC and the SDA”. I pray that she will study the wonderful truths contain in that booklet. May God bless her and make her open still! I have promised her that when I visit ____ again I will visit her too.

I’ve been also in ____ City where our dear brother ____ and Sis. ____ are worshipping in there house as I promised to visit them at least once a month. Thanks to God they are going better in truth and more willing to share to others the present truth. Maybe one of these Sabbaths we will be in (visiting) one of his friends in the SDA.

I was again invited to speak in their church of the Sunrise Sabbath keepers. Brother, they are very open to learn the truth; I have a schedule for them this Sabbath. I pray that God use me to explain to them that Sabbath of the Bible starts at sunset and will end at sunset for they are very fanatic in the position that according to them Sabbath only begins at sunrise. I pray that may God give us fruits in this labor for there are honest believers in that church. Please include them too in your prayers.

I attended the fellowship in ____ to meet our old brethren. There are many who where not able to attend because of the storm that affected them much. I was also informed that our wooden church building in ____ have been smashed down by the beat of storm. Though we are only few, we are thankful to God that He blessed us in our meeting. Testimonies were shared that gave encouragement to others and we were blessed in the meeting.

3 John 2. Hi! How are you? I pray that you're fine through God's guidance and protection. About us here, we are fine too through the help of our dear loving Saviour, though we just past from the storm. Our electricity were affected and the communication too. But all is back to normal now. Last sabbath we went to ____ to attend our fellowship. Though just few of us were able to come and a lot of our brethren didn't come because of the storm, still we did continue our fellowship to glorify and praise God.

Thanks be to God, we are home again....(although) I remained behind (because) I lost my travel document Passport. I was retained on the Kenya side until the police cleared me. It was nasty experience (because the bus travel was very crowded and I ended up) standing in a bus for around (a) THOUSAND KILOMETERS! (about 620 miles). Hopefully God gave you a safe Journey back home. Greetings to Elder Gary, hopefully he has recovered (from Malaria) (Editor's Note: Yes, Gary is well!) Thanks a lot for making a visit to Africa, it was a great moment to have you this side....

(Our) the long awaited journey to Zambia was begun on 13th August 2006.... Brother ____ came from ____, met at my place, there after we set off to ____ Boarder where we would get our transport to either Nairobi Kenya or Mwanza Tanzania since there was no transport to direct to Tanzania we decided to get to Nairobi, from thence get to Namanga the boarder of Kenya and Tanzania whereby we got another van to Arusha. We lodged at Arusha, from there very early in the morning started another journey to Darasalem, because of the restrictions in Tanzania we're not able to travel at night. We stayed in DAR (and) we hired guest rooms, from there we set off to Tunduma -- it was early in morning, but got there in the evening when the sun is setting (so) we could not get to another bus for we had booked the same bus to Lusaka. We lodged in this at Tunduma over night until the next day from morning until evening, that is when we got on the bus. We reached Lusaka in the morning (but) we had no idea where we would locate ____, we got on another bus to ____, also (a) long journey of about 9 hours.

But on all our journey the enemy (of) souls set ambushments to discourage us by over pricing most of things, from food stuffs to guest rooms, and the foe went further using those (whom) we travelled with telling us Zambians are not good people. We thank God we found (just) the very opposite; we found them (Zambians) more true and friendly, not for evil purpose like Tanzanians that we come in contact. This journey took us five good days, put lot of stress on us! We got to Zambia on 17th/August/2006.

We were received by Elder ____, his family was hospitable. Here we began to see the same culture back home of ladies kneeling while greeting, which is almost the one (in the same) in our country. The language was also not very far from those back home, we would pick some words. My eyes were blood shot due to travel stress and sleepless moments spent while traveling.

The other team had already reached at ____ at Br. ____ place -- who was the coordinator of the camp-meeting. Late in the evening Br. ____ came and picked us (up, whom) we had never met before, but thanks be to God we had no difficult in coping up with these brothers....Then came the time of travelling through the forest 24 kilometers from ____, this is where the camp site was set. The speed to this place was slow, it took us almost an hour to make it to the set place. Got to the place, we were greeted with thatched tents with dry spear grass which were spread all over the place, which reminds me of the Bible booths that were made out of reeds, which housed the children of Jacob in their sojourning in wilderness for 40 years, they put temporal shelters, even as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob lived in tents....Brothers and sisters from different lands meet (in this camp) for the glory of the Lord. Here we were 8 different Nations, South Africa, Kenya, USA, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Uganda. It was very great gladness that we met for the first time ever since the separation movement started over ten years ago.

Brother Gary was the 1st person to recognize me. He reached out to embrace me there, after(wards) Elder Sessler and then rest of the brothers followed suit, they were sitted at fire to catch some warmth before we would go to the booths. They asked about the journey, we praised God that our humble prayers had been answered for journey mercies had been accorded. It was wonderful to meet after a long time (only through) e-communication. We experience a harsh weather (of) extreme cold in the evening and the morning until the last 2 days when we felt some changes of almost the (same) weather we have at home....

The Lord in mercy was showing us clear signs that He has been in control of His work and soon we shall be called to another level, which may be persecution, because nations are enacting laws towards restricting hate speak or sermons. Before we would say bye we had meeting on organization, our legality and identity, thus we talked over many reasons as to why we need an organization under Gospel Order and some of the threats if this organization get (adopts) a name. We saw (that) the good outweighs the threats, in any case things are given, eg printing machine and many others things, they come in the name (of the) ministry. But formerly some individual would claim and even take that which belongs to the ministry...for personal use and benefit, which dents the work in that area of the world.

We also had meeting as those ministers supported by "Let there be Light Ministries". The issue was on some increase on the support. We prayed over the issue (and) praise be to our heavenly Father, He answered this cry in His own wisdom. It was also decided that those ministries we have been having in different names should remain, but be affiliated to "Seventh-day Remnant" (SDR)....

It was one out a thousand blessings to be in Zambia, we had never dreamt that one day we would be in that great south Africa country. But God in mercy had foreseen it for the excellency of His work. We all heartily thank everyone for the prayers, efforts and financial blessing to enable us get to one accord for the great out pouring of His Spirit. Rev 18:1. God richly bless all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.

It was precious moment to meet with brothers and sisters from all over the nations of the earth, it was encouragement that the Lord had sought to give us, those who have not bowed their knees to beast of prophecy, and many who want to be pure for translation to be transported alive to mansions above....

Back home some brothers had prepared a camp meeting which was to start on 10th/09/2006. But since I had helped brother ____ on travel expenses from Tanzania, it was hard for me (to) save anything for that camp. Sadly brother ____ lost a son while we were in Zambia. This meeting was to be held at brother ____ place, so ____ and ____ from Congo and others from ____ took this opportunity (and) did the financing. I lost my ATM card too, it was had to even get transport to that place, (but) thanks be to God a few brothers made it to the camp....

Br. Bob, I write to report to you over the work that has been going on in the past two months here. The month of August 2006 was the greatest of all the past since I began this missionary work with you in 1998. What a privilege to work under the orders of Gospel for all these years.

This month was a month when we were to hold an International Camp-Meeting in ____, Zambia. I praise God for the responsibility given to me of co-ordinating the camp. By the grace of God I wrote many letters to all our brethren in the same faith to invite them to come to Zambia and attend the camp-meeting. Besides writing to the brethren in the faith, I was also privileged to write to others who were not of our faith who were willing to came to the camp.

By the grace of God brethren from America: brs. Bob Sessler and Gary Cain; Uganda: brs. ____ and ____; Kenya: brs. ____ and ____; Malawi: sr. ____; Zimbabwe: Brs. ____ and ____; Namibia: Brs. ____ , ____ and ____; South Africa: br. ____ and sr. ____. These (non-Zambian believers) responded to the call and came to this camp, and we were first privileged with the first three days for workers meeting in which a lot was discussed on how our work should advance in Africa and worldwide. After the workers meeting, the first Sabbath came where we had messages from br. Bob and Cain.

The 20th of this month (of August) came when the real camp-meeting started. It is a camp-meeting that we experienced the power of God on how the brethren were used by the Spirit of God as they presented the messages. In this area where we had our camp, the chief of this area held (inquired) about it and made a request to pitch (get) him from the palace to attend the last lesson which was presented by br. Bob Sessler on "God's True Church" on the Sabbath.

The message was so touching that the chief was touched together with his entourage that it developed some questions which where answered by the humble servant of God, who spoke with the power of God explaining the history of Sunday worshiping (and) how it came up. The way he explained, many of us saw not br. Bob but the angel of God.

Many of the people we surprised that from there the chief has excepted our message, and he even called many church leaders from different churches to tell them that we have the truth and that they all need to follow it. (Editor's Note: May God be praised for ever and ever!) This time when I went there the message I got from him through brethren is that he is waiting for our materials from br. Bob and Cain, and he has also requested the brethren in his area to come out in open for them to spread this truths, more especially in small structures where he can also go and attend, than (just having them) in bush where the brethren do meet for worshiping.

Br. Bob, after the camp, I was in ____ for the workers meeting where a lot of issues came up on how we should be working as for now. The issue of Seventh-day Remnant came up, and it brought some sparks to some brethren who did not understand (hear) the lesson of Gospel Order by. Br. Gary Cain at the camp. Some thought later it will bring the hierarchy system and later take us back to the former SDA structure. Praise God when br. Gary presented that lesson on Gospel Order many (other Home Church) leaders got it, and so we stood by the grace of God and (were able to) explained to them, and so they embraced it. And besides we have a lot of work after the camp as many of those whom I invited from the SDA church have now take their stand in our truths and have preached it to others and they have made many calls from different places. So far so good: three groups of leaders have been assigned to these areas and Sunday, 8th Oct. 2006, the programmes starts and we will be out.

At present many are also looking for our materials which I do not have. As I reported to you when you came that all our booklets and tracts are finished (used up) and people need more of them. Please we need materials for our field work and for free distributions. How far have you gone on the issue of the printer? We really need (the Risograph) printer for the work in Zambia and Southern Africa at large. (Editor's Note: If God impresses any of our readers, we need to raise $3300 to purchase a nice used printer for the work there, and there is already a brother who knows how to run the Risograph who is ready to take on this responsibility. We just need to raise the funds. May God help us to come up and meet this urgent need.) I am waiting to hear from you on this matter.
