"The strongest temptation is no excuse for sin. However great the pressure brought to bear upon the soul, transgression is our own act. It is not in the power of earth or hell to compel anyone to sin. The will must consent, the heart must yield, or passion cannot overbear reason, nor iniquity triumph over righteousness." Maranatha, p 225.

This is quite a powerful revelation! To think that all the power of hell, every evil angel and even the Devil himself, can be brought against the weakest child of God to try and force them to commit sin, and yet all this would prove a failure if the Christian does not yield. The only way the powers of hell could triumph is if the Christian gives in to this pressure, yields their will to Satan, and commits sin. Thus the Devil is really only as powerful over us as we allow him to be! Many tend to make the Devil more powerful than he really is (see Ministry of Healing, p 94), but he can only have power over us when we give him permission.

With this realization in mind, who is responsible for sin? The Devil originated it, but it is only as humanity chooses to sin that it continues on in this world. Thus we cannot blame any circumstance, event, situation, heritage, parental rearing, person, or the Devil himself, for the reason why we committed sin because sin is only by our choice. Yet, what most do not fully realize is that when we commit sin, it is not just we who suffer in consequence, but also others. The consequence of our sin not only rebounds upon ourselves, but others are affected as well.

"...many by their actions have said:...`Whatever we do we are to bear the consequences ourselves.' Dear friends, you are greatly mistaken. You are not the only sufferers from a wrong course. The society you are in bears the consequences of your wrongs, in a great degree, as well as yourselves....It is impossible for you to pursue any wrong course without causing others to suffer." Testimonies, vol 3, p 356-57.

"By every sin Jesus is wounded afresh; and as we look upon Him whom we have pierced, we mourn for the sins that have brought anguish upon Him. Such mourning will lead to the renunciation of sin." Desire of Ages, p 300 (see also Mount of Blessings, p 10).

"It is a thought that should arouse Christians to greater zeal and earnestness in overcoming evil, that every defect in character, every point in which they fail to meet the divine standard, is an open door by which Satan can enter to tempt and destroy them; and, furthermore, that every failure and defect on their part gives occasion to the tempter and his agents to reproach Christ." Testimonies, vol 5, p 472.

"Infinite Love has cast up a pathway upon which the ransomed of the Lord may pass from earth to heaven. That path is the Son of God. Angel guides are sent to direct our erring feet. Heaven's glorious ladder is let down in every man's path, barring his way to vice and folly. He must trample upon a crucified Redeemer ere he can pass onward to a life of sin....Every one is permitted to choose for himself the narrow, shining steep that leads to heaven, or that broader and easier way which ends in death." Our High Calling, p 11.

None of us wish our Saviour to be wounded afresh, or reproached by the Devil and his agents, or trampled down by us because of our failure to get sin out of our lives. And yet, when we choose to sin, this is exactly what occurs!

Then how, brothers and sisters in the same precious separated faith, can we overcome all temptation, no longer choose to sin, and stop hurting our Saviour and allowing Satan to reproach Him? What is our most powerful weapon and defense against Satan and temptation? It is the power of prayer!

"There is a mighty power in prayer. Our great adversary is constantly seeking to keep the troubled soul away from God. An appeal to heaven by the humblest saint is more to be dreaded by Satan than the decrees of cabinets or the mandates of kings." SDA Bible Commentary, vol 2, p 1008.

Prayer: something so simple to perform that even the humblest and most inexperienced follower of God may use it in combating sin. And yet prayer is so powerful that even the weakest believer in the truth can utilize it against temptation. Yet, there is no power at all in the prayer itself! Prayer itself cannot save anyone from the power of temptation. The power to overcome sin is not found in the prayer itself, but the power is found in the One whom we direct our prayers to (see Signs of the Times, June 24, 1880). Without the realization that only in Christ can the strength be found to overcome temptation, our prayers are useless and but a hollow form against the power of the Devil. It is only as we realize our weakness and flee to our loving and strong Saviour, fervently pleading with Him to grant us the power to overcome the strong foe, that Satan can be defeated.

"Satan knows better than God's people the power that they can have over him when their strength is in Christ. When they humbly entreat the mighty Conqueror for help, the weakest believer in the truth, relying firmly upon Christ, can successfully repulse Satan and all his host....

So when we are tempted, and we recognize that we are weak and cannot resist on our own, and we send up our prayers to Christ pleading with Him to grant us His strength to overcome, then what do we do? We must believe that our Saviour has heard our prayers, and we must believe that He will grant us all the strength necessary to overcome. Then what do we do? Will God overcome for us? No. We must show God that we are serious about overcoming sin, submit our wills to God, and then exercise this faith in resolutely resisting the temptation and the Devil before we will gain the victory. In this way our prayer becomes a prayer of faith in the power and grace of God through Christ in us to overcome sin. By resisting the Devil and his temptations, he must flee from us as he fled from Christ, and as we take this first step in overcoming, we are also cleansing our hands and purifying our hearts from sin.

"There is but one power that can bring us into conformity to the likeness of Christ, that can make us steadfast and keep us constant. It is the grace of God that comes to us through obedience to the law of God." My Life Today, p 100.

So after we recognize the temptation, recognize that we are weak, we then pray for God to help us overcome, and then put forth the efforts needed to resist the temptation; it is only at this point that God recognizes our sincerity and sends the grace and power through Christ which then works in us--combining with our feeble efforts--to aid us in advancing until we will have gained the victory. Thus it is God through Christ who is working in us to do God's will. And in being thus united with Christ and divinity, we can gain the victory over all sin.

So the 4 key steps in overcoming are: Recognize the temptation and humbly admit that we are weak, Pray to God for grace and strength to overcome, Submit our will unto God, and then Resist the temptation by putting forth efforts to do God's will. Recognize, Pray, Submit, Resist. But without prayer, there is no possible way we could overcome sin! That is why Satan hates prayer so much, and is doing everything he can to keep us from praying--especially when we are tempted.

"Satan leads many to believe that prayer to God is useless and but a form. He well knows how needful are meditation and prayer to keep Christ's followers aroused to resist his cunning and deception." Testimonies, vol 1, p 295.

"Prayer is the breath of the soul. It is the secret of spiritual power. No other means of grace can be substituted, and the health of the soul preserved. Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Well-spring of life, and strengthens the sinew and muscle of the religious experience." Gospel Workers, p 254-55.

"Prayer is the breath of the soul, the channel of all blessings....Prayer unites us one to another and to God. Prayer brings Jesus to our side, and gives new strength and fresh grace to the fainting, perplexed soul." Review and Herald, October 30, 1900 (vol 4, p 231).

Brethren, as sinful and unworthy as we are, we have been given the distinct honor and privilege of talking directly with, and can even urge our petitions before, the King of the entire universe! There is no other royalty who will allow every subject in their kingdom to approach them with their petitions and requests at any given time. It is out of love for unworthy you and me, that our Saviour is willing to take all our fervent requests before the Father. And the Father, out of love for Christ and humanity, is willing to hear and answer our requests according to His perfect will!

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in every time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16.

What love is this brethren? And yet, many have come to look upon prayer as a drudgery or an almost unnecessary item for salvation. But prayer is vital for our spiritual life and for a victorious warfare against every temptation and sin--especially on God's Sabbath day. When we pray on the Sabbath, God has promised to answer these prayers before the Sabbath hours are over! (See Desire of Ages, p 207.)

Let us never forget that when we are faced with a temptation to commit sin, to pray to God for His strength to overcome, and then firmly resist the Devil. Let us remember that either Satan will be bruised under our feet when we are an overcomer (see Testimonies, vol 3, p 526), or we will bruise Christ under our feet if we give in and commit sin. And may we remember the 4 keys to successfully overcome--R.P.S.R. (Recognize, Pray, Submit, Resist). Thus we can escape sin through our Saviour's power to God's glory.

We have been busy--especially in the publishing and distribution of present truth materials. We finished the printing of the French translation of "Jeremiah--the Message Then is the Message Now" and mailed 1/3 of these booklets off to our worker, and the other 2/3 are packaged up waiting to be mailed. We also received the corrected translation of "The Golden Calf Apostasy" in French, and had 6000 printed up, which will be mailed off as soon as they are bound and the necessary funds come in. We also ran out of stock and had to reprint "The Last Message of Mercy" booklet in English, and several boxes of these were mailed to our various foreign workers.

Next in line for publishing is our booklets on "The Will" and "The Glorious Everlasting Gospel" which have been translated into Chinese. These will be printed and distributed shortly. Also our French worker has recently translated our booklet "The Abomination of Desolation Stands" which needs to have a final correction and then it will be published and distributed. And we need to reprint 3 other of our English booklets as we have run out of stock on these as well.

The Lord has mercifully allowed us to reach out with the printed page of present truth to the main major language groups of the world! We are currently reaching out to the peoples around the world who speak English, Spanish, French, and Chinese. We are also reaching out to those peoples who speak the languages of Cebuano (Philippines), Kiswahili (Africa), and soon to those who speak Tamil (India).

Since the Lord has allowed us to be busy in this wonderful publishing work, we have reached another mile-stone in this Ministry. We have surpassed the 6,000,000 page mark!!! That is right, over 6 million pages of present truth have so far been published by this Ministry (6,769,750 pages current total)!!! We will be placing this current page total at the end of each Ministry News section in our upcoming Newsletters. That way you can join with us in praising God as you see the number of pages of the printed truth continuing to grow--meaning more souls are being reached!

Included in this 6,769,750 current total amount is almost 3/4 million pages of present truth in Spanish (760,000 current total), and just under 1/2 million pages of present truth in French (448,000 current total)! And brothers and sisters, please know that this above mile-stone could not have been reached without your constant prayers and loving support. Please continue to remember us in your prayers and support and also keep these silent preachers of the printed page in your prayers for God to multiply and send them into the farthest reaches of this world so that His coming can be hastened and we can go home much sooner.

The Lord has also allowed us to begin sponsoring two new separated full-time workers in two different Countries! We recently began supporting a full-time worker in Fiji Islands, who is very busy spreading the present truth to his people--not just through meetings and the printed page, but also on Radio broadcasts! He reports that these weekly broadcasts are generating a lot of "heat"--especially from the various Sunday Church leaders who oppose the three angels messages being broadcasted. Thus many are being agitated out of their sleep, and some will be led to study the truth to see if these things are so, and thus led to embrace this precious message.

Our other full-time worker which we began supporting is in India. He is currently busy translating our booklets into Tamil (1 of 3 major spoken Indian dialects), and will soon arrange for the translation of our booklets into the other 2 major dialects. Already he has translated our booklet "The Abomination of Desolation Stands" and we will soon have it in print to further help spread the present truth throughout that huge Country. The SDA leaders are already beginning to hedge up his work there, so he needs your prayers!

Please keep all of our gospel workers in your prayers--especially for divine strength, wisdom, courage, and protection, in order to continue forward in this vigilant and ever-increasing warfare. And may God continue to multiply the efforts of our workers, as well as the efforts of all His people, so that the message of present truth may continue to spread and set ablaze Fiji, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, as well as the whole world, with the glory of the angel of Revelation 18. Thus our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ can end His ministration in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary and come to claim those who have made themselves ready through sacrifice.

We are also very encouraged with the successful and blessed efforts of our full-time minister/workers in the Philippines in establishing unity and New Testament Gospel Order throughout the separated home churches and Filipino brethren. This is not in any sense a hierarchy, but a church system based upon Matthew 23:8 "all ye are brethren." God has blessed their efforts tremendously, not only in closing any doors through which Satan can enter the church and spread false and fanatical heresies, but also in bringing peace and rest in the Lord among our active people. This means that most all of the known separated workers in the full present truth message of Revelation 14:6-12 & 18:1-5 throughout the Philippines are united together and working as one body with Christ as their sole leader! Thousands of present truth materials have already been printed up and distributed throughout the Philippines! God is definitely showing that He is in control, and He is blessing His obedient and unselfish people as they do His will!

But, as you can imagine, the Devil is not very pleased with their unity, and is working through any agency he can, both within and without, to try and divide the brethren and destroy this unity. But the more he roars against them, the more the brethren unite and come together to discuss, decide, and then unitedly solve the problems. Thus their unity continues to grow stronger each time the Devil tries to destroy it!

It is not just our Philippine brethren who understand the importance of fulfilling Christ's prayer and working together in unity, but our workers in Kenya, East Africa, are also endeavoring to establish unity under Gospel Order among our fellow separated brethren there! Not only in Kenya is this going on, but also this blessed endeavor of achieving unity is also being established among our fellow separated brethren in Namibia, South Africa! And we pray that all of our separated brethren around the world will study and realize the importance of unity in Christ, and then work in the strength of God to accomplish His will. Remember, united we stand in strength, divided we fall in weakness.

God has indeed greatly blessed our Filipino brethren with His presence and Spirit as they have a willing and able heart to perform His will. And God will bless all our separated brethren who choose to follow His will and achieve unity. May our separated brethren here in America, as well as around the world, take note of what their separated Filipino brethren have accomplished, and what other brethren are accomplishing, for God's glory. May we arouse out of sleep and realize that we are being left behind in this important area of truth, and thus have the same willing and able hearts to do God's will and achieve unity and Gospel Order among us. May we cast away the main reasons why we have not yet achieved unity among us--which is selfishness and ignorance, so that we may also work to fulfill the last prayer of our blessed Leader and Captain as recorded in John 17. From a naked eye, persecution is around the corner for Namibia brethren. What we use to hear from Romania and Kenya is at last happening here. But we need not to fear. It is the fulfillment of Malachi 3 [purification and the purging of gold and silver].

I have attached a concise report of what is happening here. (NOTE: among other things, this report stated the following about a Pastor Libonina Mubonenwa, who is the SDA Church President in Namibia whose church headquarters in is Katima Mulilo, Namibia: "Brother ____ had written a letter to Pastor Mubonenwa in which he appealed to him to consider his involvement in politics. Pastor Mubonenwa is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Era Corporation. It is a government run newspaper whose board of directors are appointed by the ruling party, South West Africa People's Organization [SWAPO]. They [the board] was appointed by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting to develop policies for the newspaper to ensure that it [the newspaper] adheres to the policies of the government. He and the rest of his fellow board members report directly to the Minister and receive their instructions from him....he (Mubonenwa) never responded (to the letter)." SWAPO is connected with, and supported by, the World Council of Churches--please write for information.)

Presently, every other Sabbath, God has honored me with the opportunity of sharing "Christ's 2 Parables" with 3 ladies from the Ontario Church. May the Spirit of God convict and convert these dear ones to precious, pure, unadulterated truth.

I was recently impressed with Jer. 22:10, in connection with those who leave "present truth." May our Lord help us to realize the solemnity of this Scripture and remain on the pathway, following Christ Jesus our Leader, heavenward.

The copy of the "Abomination of Desolation...(Enlarged Second Edition) arrived here safely...I have looked carefully though the entire book since its arrival. As compared with the original, not only does it have cleaner and more attractive typesetting but the entire book has been carefully and thoroughly re-phrased so that the meaning and the intent of many statements is more direct, and comprehensible....

So often we Adventists get up and question our audiences about how ready are we for our Lord's second coming?...Suffice to mention that I did read of a whole series--a progression of these questions in your book...in a way which allows of the development of a profundity of thought and of discourse for which we all must face up unto and exist through and beyond--by God's grace.

Thank you for your August 4 reply to my letter of earlier date. It's disheartening to note that gospel order has not been established (among all the separated brethren) in America...it really is important that God's people get united and Jesus has waited long enough and we all want to go home now, don't we?

I have good news for you...____ ____, an office-mate who wrote you sometime back is now having Bible Study with us together with her husband and Aunt. Last Sabbath we were at her place and for the first time, this couple has been enlightened of the truth they have learned and received. We will go back to ____ for another Bible study with ____ and her family this coming Sabbath.

The Lord has been blessing the work here in Manila and by faith we see Him leading the way for us. We pray that the Lord will continue to be with us in this work through the guidance of His Holy Spirit. It's a wonderful thought to be co-laborers in saving souls for Christ.

By the way, I would like to personally invite you to attend the forthcoming Camp Meeting on ____ December 1999. This will be held in ____, ____ (in Philippines--write this Ministry for details) and I would like to extend this invitation also to the brethren and sisters who correspond to you through your "Let There Be Light" Ministry. It would be a wonderful reunion of sorts if brothers and sisters from the different parts of the globe would be able to attend this Camp Meeting....

With all the Y2K scare & doom & gloom future foretold, it's not a pretty future. Thankfully we are out of debt & don't rely on power, phone, stores or banks, but will continue to use them as a convenience so long as it's available, affordable, and not binding. We were both raised with outhouse, garden and no power and don't feel it too difficult to do it again.

I have broken my back 3 times this year as a result of my osteoporosis. Our credit cards are maxed out. As a matter of fact, ____ and I have had to charge our groceries since the 8th of the Month in order to pay the tithe and other credit cards....

The outreach through the Radio programme is very "HOT" now because the leaders of the big churches here are working together by telling the boss of this Radio Station not to broadcast any such programme as the "Sabbath of the Lord" which we have been discussing for the past four weeks. The address given for the people to write was given and we have received some letters and were also replied and also visited. The programme is being broadcast in Fijian language....Two Third of the Fijian populations are Methodist and they are having their yearly Conference now for two weeks in ____. Thousands of tracts and pamphlets were given out in the ____ City Area last weekend regarding the Sabbath and the Three Angel's Messages....

I am in receipt of your email dated _____. The translation work upon the Abomination of Desolation booklet is started already. Among our total population of India only 60% is literates. In this 60% more percentage have done their major subject of studies only in their regional language. The highest dialoguing language is Telugu, then Tamil and Hindi comes next.

Among the Seventh Day Adventist only the church pastors and few laymen speaks English. So it is better to have some stock of English books with us here in India (but mainly to translate them into these 3 major Indian dialects)....many of the Seventh day Adventist members are willing to come out. But we can't accept them unless we understand their mind (reason for leaving). Because many of such Adventists are active rebellions in their church already. Such people are thinking that they can do reformation only through quarreling and fighting. So I am very much careful in accepting Adventists to become a member of our home church. Unless they are understanding the strong reasons for separation through our booklets they will not stay with us. As you said, the sanctified independent, we need for our home church. I am very much particular in quality rather than the quantity. Acts 2:47 will be our hope....

The local Adventist pastor and elders are started threatening me. On 10th, Aug the local pastor has threatened my wife that they will be beating me on the way....the great Protector is our Almighty God; as long (as) He allows me to be a witness unto Him nobody can touch me. When the right time comes whether I should die as martyr or in any other way, must be decided by our Lord Jesus, alone....They (SDA church and people in my area) are in legal problem and undergoing investigation for the suspicious death of their member in the building owned by the Church....

The great hand (of) our Lord is mightily working here. As I had early told you, we had (to) go for a Camp-meeting in ____, which succeeded well. However, we were yet again recalled due to the interest that had been aroused....

Brothers ____, ____ and myself held a series of studies indoors in the morning, and public preaching in the afternoon for one and half weeks. The remaining days from Wednesday (23rd) were dedicated to indoor studies with the separated brethren in ____ setting forth before them the precious message for this time and also establishing on the New Testament simple organization for the purpose of the gospel....

I received your letter...I'm happy that you received all my letters, which I had started worrying if ever you did. I'm grateful that you favored the proposal of having the booklets printed here. This is my prayer, that God grant it so all to His glory....I hope we shall now, than ever before, "be closely united in the bonds of Christian fellowship and love" 1T 260. Moreover, "as trials thicken around us both separation and unity will be seen in our ranks." 6T 400. I concur with you that it is now time to present a united front against the enemy. This is our burden here, and shall you remember us in your prayers that the Lord's prayer may be answered in us to "be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that" the Father had sent Jesus to save the sinners. Jn 17:23....

I received the Newsletter yesterday. What a tonic! This is my burden and prayer that God's separated people come to this very important point (of unity). Here, we are striving towards that end, and we hope brethren there will also do the same....We couldn't wish the devil to infiltrate the movement here which otherwise has been knit together by the truth....

Brother Elder Bob, if there ever was a time that we required God's protection and guidance that time has fully come; for the devil is really wroth. In this warfare, we can only have hope of victory as we present "a united front" against him. 6T 401. It's now time that God's people "moved in exact order, like a company of soldiers." EW 271. Moreover, thus saith the Lord, "Our great need is unity. We have not one soul that can be spared. The Lord calls upon us to unify in harmony with Bible truth. This should be repeated over and over in the family and in the church..." UL 149 See also p. 172. Therefore, as we practically strive towards that unity which is proof of unity with Christ, let's remember one another in prayers....

To my joy, I am writing to you this morning to let you know that the mighty hand of God is taking control of His work and that soon, very soon, we shall see each other in the kingdom of glory if we shall keep on heeding the counsel given by the Apostle Paul in Heb 10:35-39.

I thank God greatly that He has opened to us this great mystery which the wise men of this days are unable to see. Through your support let me tell you Elder Bob that I have done what I could have never done in my life. After being out here and there holding meetings in my Country, now...I have came back to rest for a week and go out (again). So next week as from 11th - 18th ____ I shall be within ____ in an effort, from there to another place from 26th - 1st ____ to have another effort meeting with the S.D.A. Reformed people who have seen and separated from the Reformed Church of Kenya. On 8th - 15th ____ we shall hold a Camp-meeting at our home church ____....

The Youth Camp & Camp Meeting was a great success. More Youth decided to train for the work. Three more workers are recommended for ordination. More backsliders are coming back to the fold. We baptized sixteen precious souls. Twelve of this are rebaptism. ____ was re-opened (to us). We give all the glory to God for all this manifold blessings. As we go home with my wife our car smash into a big tree. My mouth & nose were bleeding & I have a severe pain in my ribs that smash into the steering wheel. I thought I am finished but the Lord saves us from sure death (NOTE: no bones were broken--praise God!). My wife has injury in her leg. (My son) has no injury. It was a miracle, and we thank God that He still has a work for us....

Its hard & painful to breath, but this tragedy will not stop us from going to ____ to attend their Camp Meeting. My vehicle was severely damage. I remember Mrs Whites words; "God gaveth, & God taketh away." I also remember their experience through several accidents (1T 94-95, 344-47), but God save their lives. I'm not surprised by this accident because I know that we are the object of Satan's special attack.

Just pray that God will give us more courage and strength as we face more duties, more responsibilities. "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers...shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 8:38-39....

I'm home again with brother ____ and ____ from Visayas visiting and encouraging our brethren....The ____ home churches are doing fine. There are new converts (and) more openings....Our publishing ministry is still doing great. We are on our way to scatter these precious messages to the dark places here...May we all come and answer God's call in John 17 is my prayer....

The four day Council Meeting has just concluded. Once again Satan's device to divide and destroy the flock was thwarted. God has proven again that Satan has nothing in Him. The bigger the crisis (which come to us), the greater the light and privileges that God has bestowed upon us. The greater threat of division that we have experienced, the more that we push forward to achieve genuine unity. The fiercer the devil attacks, the stronger we hold in God's mighty hand. We give all the glory to Him for sustaining us in all these trials....

Just recently we had a visit to three sisters (one an Adventist Youth Leader and the other two is from the Roman Catholic church) whom we had invited to our previous camp meeting, who were positive to the Present Truth Message and spent with them the Sabbath of the Lord. In fact these sisters are no longer attending services in their churches and now experiencing ridicule from friends and relatives because of their present faith. We hope that they could stand the test of their faith.

Another thing I could inform you is, as of now I have with me a letter from an active member of SDA church in one of the towns of ____ who have read the booklet "The Last Message of Mercy." In his letter he has so many inquiries about the Present Truth. He is a fourth year student in the high school and planning to take pastoral course after graduation, but when he read the booklet, according to his letter, he wants to know more about Present Truth. We are preparing to meet him personally to give him more study on the subject.

Greetings from a dedicated fellow worker. I hope you received my latest message to you about the booklet "Golden Calf Apostasy."...My special thanks goes to the Holy Spirit through Christ our Lord. I really felt His presence with me from the beginning (of the translation) to the last line....I had never been awakened and touched with sympathy toward the millions of S.D.A. as I went through this booklet line by line. I am also proud to be the humble instrument to make this available to French readers. Thanks you for taking me into your partnership....

In the SDA church, there are reform oriented groups who before don't see the need of total separation. Today they seem to see the importance of searching into separation movement. The SDA leaders, sensing the danger, recently banned the activities of these groups within the church. But most of them are in the valley of decision. Then I thought, this is the right moment to send in the booklet, "Golden Calf Apostasy"...These must be sent into the churches in Togo, Benin, Ivory-Coast quickly to respond to the awakening spirit prevailing....(NOTE: we had 730 copies printed there on the copier recently provided for our worker, and have already printed up 6000 copies here which will be mailed shortly.)

Since our last correspondence, we had great difficulties getting the connection through. And also, I had it very hard to move about because of the heavy downpour of rain since the beginning of the month. I made photocopies of the "Apostasie du veau d'or" (Golden Calf Apostasy). You will receive more details soon....

I have completed the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION STANDS (into French). The booklet is also just marvelous. I give special thanks to God for giving you the intellect, the dedication and the untiring zeal toward perishing souls....

The "Golden Calf Apostasy", has created so much interest. The calls for this booklet is so great. Many of our brothers are calling for these booklets to be printed here in Africa for quick results....The photocopied copies (about 730) hardly went outside Togo. I am very happy the present one is here to strengthen the former. I must repeat here that your booklets are the sole reliable reform messages ever to enter Francophone Africa. The copier did a nice work. For 24 hours, it worked nicely with only few, very minor skipping errors, due to the quality of the paper.

Please elder, can you tell me approximately how long it will take to get the Golden Calf mailed to me? Please, just hurry. You are not just dealing with Togo alone. We have all the French speaking countries, about 15 countries where no Present Truth of this nature has penetrated....

I have just received the current Newsletter (July-August) with the two tracts. I spent the entire night reading the Newsletter. Then I came to the conclusion that this should be rapidly translated and xeroxed. The message in it is so vital for Adventists...Thank you for writing it.

Precious greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It has been within a short range of time that I received (correspondence) from you, thanks a lot for your letters, more thanks for the work and support monies. For this was greatly needed to buy some forms or benches and hire out a room for our worship service. Friends, may the Almighty God bless the hands and pockets which have given to up-lift (the) work of the pardoning Redeemer.

...I was called by ____ ____ to assist a lady who had reached the end of the road, for her life was in total hopelessness. I hope (helped her), she had headache and bad dreams, for two days we prayed with her and the Lord listened to our prayers for she recovered.

...I visited ____...Thereafter left for ____ ____'s place (and) he told me about ____ and what the booklets (on) Fanaticism (are doing there) which has caused two classes within the same small church (where) some adhering to the book teaching, while some still stuck in fanaticism. He was given several copies to give to those who should embrace the present truth and tracts for home to home visitations....

On third of July, it is a day which I need to thank God for availing us a new place of worship which we are renting...We came to our first meeting in which we were 11 souls in number, and with your assistance, we have been able to buy some benches. At the moment, we have 4 souls who are ready for baptism. Your ceaseless prayers are greatly needed for God to establish souls in the present truth.

The next day I moved to ____ to arrange for another meeting, in that place one of them who is a church treasurer told me it is hard to conduct it. For the first time I went there, the people who gave me the pulpit were nearly disfellowshipped, denying me another chance to minister unto them....

On Monday July 26th Bro ____ visited....and said that the booklets are the backbones of all the churches they have opened. By his effort and the help of the tracts, 4 souls believed the 7th day Sabbath from Sunday keeping churches....

By this fax I want to inform you that their (SDA church) are already circulating printed papers about our presence (the separated home churches) and about the booklets we are using, especially "The WCC & SDA Church"....They think by this they are protecting their people, instead this is opening up ways for us to reach out to those people. For there are marked (open) sins and sinners in the church.....

Elder, may the Almighty give you large vision for the work and strong heart to stand changes that are soon to come upon us. Pray for the work, pray for me, for at times I have heaviness of heart when the Lord's work seems to be failing (people not responding as fast to the truth).

(D.A. pg 253) The words on the mentioned book gives the position of this month's report surely despite the action of the present Sanhedrin (SDA church leaders) against the separation message, (yet) people eagerly awaits for the development of this message.

Thank you God for the peace in His work and for the present truth being sowed. I want to praise God that after I had received my support, I traveled to ____ where I had found that the ____ home church members were waiting for me for video shows....

For the first two weeks my wife and I were very busy outside ____ for these video shows and Bible studies....At the end of the two weeks we returned home in ____ where we had find more work for my wife and I. I had many letters from within Zambia and outside, in which some brothers and sisters were requesting for some materials.

Truly the two last weeks of the month were the most busiest, cause I had too many calls to attend to. The work of writing letters and sending materials had reached its peak due to the fact that some of the people who had borrowed some video tapes and audios came for further video bible studies and other Elders from some S.D.A. churches called my wife and I to go and present a Bible study...After these studies other members of these churches are continuously coming for video shows and Bible studies....

Praise God I am making the 12th report, meaning I have worked with "Let There Be Light" Ministry for a year now....Elder, the message here is spreading at a very fast rate and as it goes, more and more opposition continues widening....Video shows and Bible studies were the most active parts in which the message have been spreading. Many and many people are coming for this true messages....

In the last two weeks of the month the work has increased in it's capacity so much that I am always kept very busy together with my wife. In my absence for outside duties my wife remains to continue with Video (and) Bible studies and answering calls....

I want to testify that the biggest problem in SDA churches is with the leadership cause of hiding (the truth from the people) and not acquiring wisdom from God. Sister White calls them "dumb dogs that would not bark" she says are the "ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God" (5T 211). I felt pity on them...Praise God many members are now willing to learn the facts from those individuals standing (separated) gospel workers. Henceforth, many, many boxes for booklets on Abomination Stands, Golden Calf, Revelation 18 and church tracts are needed here....I am trying to make more copies for these booklets and tracts though it's very very expensive....God bless.

Thank you for the work you Gospel workers/independent ministers are performing in these last days....I want to give a true appreciation for the members of "Let There Be Light" ministries of USA for the love and faith they have shown to us Zambians....

I am happy to let you know that so far I have organized a home church in ____ some good distance place from where this brother (our other worker) stays. Moreover, a certain Elder (now separated) of some SDA church is very much close to me and always go through these separation message tapes. The Elder and his wife are very much grounded with this truth. Before this, brother ____ and I have been to this Elder's house for Bible studies and video shows. It's very much interesting because he is inviting many members for these shows. Praise God many people are now awakened through your materials...

The video Bible studies are really doing a tremendous job. Many and many of our SDA members are flocking at my home for these studies and I want to praise God because at least His people are now coming to understand this truth. In a special way I am happy to report to you that my elder brother, Elder ____ ____ has resigned from being an Elder in the SDA church after presenting to him a series of Bible studies through your video tapes and other Bible studies with Brother ____ ____. The Elder has shocked the church members since he was one man whom this church relied on presenting the present truth messages. Due to his resignation there is tension in the church and brother ____ and I are really facing a great opposition, that we have disturbed their Order, NOT KNOWING THAT GOD IS WORKING in these last days. Please, thank you for your prayers that the great truth is going on though through great opposition....
